Sky High makes some darn tasty beer, and the food isn't bad either. The menu seems a little small, but I haven't had a meal I didn't like.

The standard ales they have are great but nothing extraordinary about them. The Strawberry Saison was excellent and there was this Kiwi beer that was also very good. If you are curious about a fruity beer they offer in the future, I would give it a go. The food is good, the view is good, the atmosphere is good. This used to be one of our favorite places. We just went here and ordered the Thai chicken wrap which we get every time. This used to come with grilled chicken breast. Now it's a wrap full of really, really soggy coleslaw and a few tiny shreds of chicken thighs (I think, definitely not chicken breast) that are teriyaki flavored marinated in teriyaki sauce so that the wrap comes with way more sauce than meat. The wrap tastes like day-old coleslaw and teriyaki- no thai peanut sauce to be found and that was our favorite part but neither of us could taste that. You know when you make coleslaw and you have some left over you leave in the fridge for a day or two and it gets watery and soggy? Thats what this wrap is like- soup in a tortilla (notice all the liquid in the photo). They used to have good quality food here- but the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. Honestly, their beers were either boring or just sub par. For all you homebrewers out there, remember your first batch of beer or two, and it was OK, drinkable, but just kind of meh? Well that's pretty much what I experienced the one and only time I went here. The service was really good though. Maybe I'll come back again and see if it was just a one time thing. read more

I like the food much more than the beer. They try to compete with the other Corvallis and even Oregon breweries, however, they sort of fall flat. It is not that the beer isn't good, it is just that other beers are better and more memorable. The four story nachos are killer and definitely a meal (for two). Love the mac and cheese, tacos, and burgers as well. The view is the best in town! The rooftop is beautiful but only open sometimes and when special events are not happening. To wait for a table we went onto the roof top for drinks. My hubby had his beer for quite some time and asked for my tonic water. Still no drink until the cashier went to get it himself. IN the restaurant I ordered a salmon burger and got it charred. It might have been a coincidence but it was the underside of the burger that was charred. They replaced it but the salmon evidently doesn't lend itself to turn into a patty without adding many fillers and it resulted in a tasteless meal. The tater tots were the best of the meal. I really like Sky High on multiple fronts. Been here on numerous occasions. Atmosphere is great with cool decor and vibe. Epic sunsets on the roof! Cool outdoor patio, but they built a 4 story monstrosity right next door. Used to have a view. Hoppy hour is a good deal and the food is good. The burgers are pretty frickin' tasty! The beer is decent. The Freewheel IPA used to be one of my favs. Super hoppy and delicious, but it hasn't been as hoppy these days. They need to step up their game on the NW IPA front. Sky High is my boyfriend and my favorite restaurant in town. We are definitely regulars! I also work at a hotel in town and always recommend it to guests. The food takes a while but when it arrives it is always piping hot and fresh! They have a large selection on their menu, great seating options (indoor main eating area and bar area, outdoor patio, and rooftop bar), and great atmosphere. I always order something different and it is always delicious! I have yet to try the rooftop but I hear they sometimes have live music which sounds fun! I recommend any visitors to Corvallis try this cool brewery! read more

I would say a big percentage of my rating for them comes from their atmosphere. It's a super cool place, three stories, outside roof area with patio games and lounge chairs, and just overall a fun place to be. The "tres tacos" (my former favorite) and turkey wraps are made with tortillas, fish, and deli meat that was likely purchased at the frozen food section of the local supermarket. I love this place! The atmosphere is very cool whether one is seated inside or outside. There are plenty of steps to walk up if you want to burn off the calories BEFORE you consume them, or you can simply take the elevator. The food and beverage is top-notch. Good beer. Good coffee. I would say I *just* had a delicious Beet Helles beer at Sky High Brewing, followed by one of the best burgers I've ever devoured, but afterward I had to come home and lay comatose for 2+ hours. So I will say I did have them, quite a while ago, and they were delicious. Ok, so that's the Facebook version. My husband vouches for their Extend-o Burger as one of the best he's ever had, and their BLT burger was also excellent. I think that without the trendy toppings, the burgers would still be pretty good, but the toppings are tasty on their own and well-executed. We tried three of their beers and liked all of them. Overall, I'm impressed by the Corvallis beer scene, and this was no exception. The Beet Helles / Lager was really well-balanced, unlike most beers with fruit / weird add ins. We arrived during a pre-game rush, and there was quite a wait but the hostess seemed to handle things competently. Our server was slightly rushed, but but fine. Overall, we had a great time and definitely enjoyed the food. It's a bit spendy, but not out of line for the local dining scene, and $3.25 pints during happy hour are well worth it. read more

Sky High gets a lot of attention because it doesn't feel like your typical "Corvallis Bar". It has appealing ambiance, a big outdoor seating area, and it has a distinct (albeit somewhat generic) style to it. Pros- Centrally located. Nice to look at. Outdoor seating. Awesome nachos (best in town). Big TVs in the bar. Cons- Here's the real reason for 2 stars. The beer is terrible. Every single one. They tout themselves as a brewery but (a) their wheat beer (June Bug), their Kolsch, and their ales look and taste exactly the same (generally wheat beers should be at least somewhat opaque, there's is crystal clear. Bud light clear). Their stout, which is meant to be of Russian influence tastes like someone spiked it with cheap vodka. Their new beet beer tastes like someone put food coloring in their kolsch/wheat/berry beer. The beer is abominable. In Oregon the land of good beer- this is a disgrace. That being said, when the small downstairs bar is open the ambiance is great and the bartender is really nice. The upstairs bartenders are a little snooty. The line to get in is really long. The food (other than the totally dreamy, worth drinking the nasty beer, amazing nachos) is mediocre at best, and overly creamy at worst. It's a fun place to go when someone else suggests it. I'll even go back, but I'll keep my expectations low. read more

The go to place for dinner and a beer!! hands down the best place in a 40 mile radius for dinner and craft beer. Located on top of the brewery looking over down town Corvallis makes it really unique, having a roof top beer in the summer while playing corn hole... its the little things in life. wait time for dinner on a Friday or Saturday is crazy long (over an hour) and you cant make reservations is kinda sad too. I went in a few weeks ago with some girlfriends and absolutely LOVE everything about this restaurant! We sat outside and because of the great heaters this place has on the balcony, we enjoyed the fresh air without freezing to death. I ordered the Extend-o Burger, and was thoroughly impressed. It's not your ordinary burger. There are very few places you can go and order a medium-well burger and it still comes out as juicy as any other preparation. And the tastiness of the burger was immense. I especially enjoyed the roasted tomato cooked into the burger. Very good ingredients too. A plus was that this burger came with tater-tots. Woo! Atmosphere is great, waitstaff was charming and very helpful, and if you can get a window booth the view is awesome. Definitely going to visit this place again to try their brews. read more

One of the absolute best brew pubs in Corvallis. Beautiful building built with sustainable harvested and recycled local woods. Mostly really tasty food and in house beer, every once and a while they strike out but at least they are always trying new things. read more
