He provided questions to ask the insurance company to posture me for the most adventageous financial position. As a first time home owner, my insurance did not cover most of the work. I took action based on Cody's initial assessment and updated my policy, which aided my insurance coverage. Yes, this all occurred post storm (1 year) because I was able to demonstrate - through various avenues - that changes and upgrades to my roof existed prior to my ownership - just because I wasn't aware of claims and changes does not mean they did not exist. I wouldn't have thought to do this on my own. Fast forward a few months, after the work has been completed, I was unaware that Cody had been fighting a battle with my insurance company for what the insurance company should be responsible for - versus me. Am I suggesting that Cody will save you thousands of dollars on your claim? No. I'm simply saying, Cody's explanations of my coverage helped surface new questions to put accountability back on the insurance company. The roof labor and product is great, but the safety is in the contract. Our insurance claim was initially declined, prior to working with Sky Manor Roofing. Ben went up on our roof the same day and made a 60 page report detailing the damage and he fought for us with our insurance company. His was able to get our insurance company to cover our roof. I was in need of new gutters I had a decent sized crack in mine. Once I contacted Sky Manor they were able to come out quickly to get me an estimate. They accommodated my schedule and once I received the estimate it was very reasonable. They were able to color match the gutters to my house and install them so quickly! Long story short, our house was under contract and the buyer's inspector said our roof might need replacing as he thought there were some soft spots. I called Sky Manor Roofing around 9:00 am and by 2:00 that day, Jake was here and inspected our roof. Turns out the inspector was being overly cautious, there was no work that needed to be done on our roof except two nails were showing and just needed a dab of caulk.
