I waited over 2 hours just to get a pedicure. When I came in they told me about an hour wait, but obviously didn't account for people that had booked appointments already. If I had been told there was a two hour wait I would've just went somewhere else or booked for the next day. The pedicure was nice and it's lasted a while without chipping. The people were also very nice. I just wish they would've told me the actual wait time so I wouldn't have sat there wasting my time. The wait is very long most times, so I would just say book ahead, but the people and quality of the nails are very good! read more

The worst pedicure and full set I have ever gotten. She painted my toe nails first (who does that?) and then only spent about 5 minutes doing everything else when I purchased the salt rub. What's worse is when I went to stand up I almost fell because my feet were still wet from the tub. Why were my feet still wet! To top it off, once I got home, the gel polish on my toes popped off on my smaller toes. The full set was awful. The nails were barely even (I even tried comparing them in shop and she grabbed my hands to "do it herself"), they were so thick she had barely filed them down and they barely resembled the shape I asked for. read more

Easily the worst culmination of customer service experience I have ever had. Every tool present on my technician, Lana's, table was dirty - from brushes, to cuticle scissors, to nail files. Not once did I see a clean towel placed for my hands to rest, all were stained. My hands were covered in polish dust from beginning to end of the service, not once were they washed. Only brushed off with a brush caked in dry polish and other unknown powders. My polish application was sloppy and shameful. My polish is hanging off the nail onto the skin in places, and some nails have debris within the polish, one with a brush hair. Lana was inconsiderate and did not seem very experienced, putting my hands under UV light three times after one layer of top coat. She swatted each finger down when she was finished polishing it. I'm not the kind of person to walk out during a service, or cause a scene. Today I came extremely close. When I went to the register, I had rewards money available to use on my service. I asked Lana if i could use it today, and she abruptly denied. When I asked why, she continued to deny with no explanation. Another employee was kind enough to add it on for me. I came with a friend today who said her cuticles were trimmed so close that they're now sore and bleeding in places, and her polish application was sub-par. I returned to Sky Nails to request a refund, to which I was met with further disrespect and denial with little explanation. Again, I have never been dissatisfied quite like today. I'm not trying to be a Karen, I know what the customer service world can be like and I understand nothing is perfect. This, however, was beyond unacceptable. read more

Staff is very friendly and welcoming with every single customer. Walked in for a pedicure, was seated right away & given nail colors to choose from. My nail tech did a great job on my feet, removed ingrowns, took the time to massage and alleviate some foot pain that I didn't even mention! Will be back again :) read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I went in on Tuesday, July 3rd to get my acrylics filled. I am beyond disappointed. It has hard to communicate with the nail techs, they had no clue what I was saying when I asked for dip nails. I asked for a sugar nail and instead they put normal polish on it instead of actual nail glitter. Today is only Monday, July 9 and all of my nails have fallen off. I am so angry. I spent $40 for my nails to last less than a week. The acrylic started peeling off the second day I got them. My nails are bloody, in pain, raw, and completely tore up and ruined. Layers of my nails have been ripped off. I do not recommend going here. It was a waste of $40 and led to a lot of pain. read more

My daughter and I went in for dip nails and pedicures. The lady that did our nails rushed so much that she put me in the liquid and started on my daughter! I was good with this since she was getting to go first, but all the while I am sitting in the liquid stuff to get my dip off. I ended up taking my own polish off I sat so long! Come to find out she never soaked my daughter just took the drill to her nails over and over! Then she couldn't get it all off so sh put new dip over the old dip! Then while getting our pedicure the one tech asked my daughter how old she was and my daughter said 15 and she said wow you are BIG for 15!! My daughter was so upset! So we will not return! This was a second chance anyway from a previous bad experience! read more

I made an appointment twice there where they completely screwed up leading me to leave this review. First time, I spoke with the lady I wanted to do my nails on the phone and made my appointment. Came in, she was not there to do the design I needed. Second time, I request someone with knowledge on ombré. Said no problem come in at 12. I did, the lady had no idea how to do it and screwed up two of my nails then told me "I already worked on your nails for an hour I can't help any longer"..... I said I don't care how long you did my nails, I have an appointment and someone needs to finish them. She told me to wait for someone who knew how to do it. At this point. It's 1:30, I have two screwed up nails. No one is helping me soak them to start over and the guy who is apparently going to "help" me starts working on someone's nails who walked in! I then asked how much longer around 2 and he told me 45 minutes!!!! So I had to walk out without being serviced and go to another salon. It was ridiculous and I will not be back. I was in a pinch trying to get my nails done on lunch hour on a Wed.. decided to try this place out since I couldn't get into my normal shop very disappointed. I got a full set with powder dip. And I'm shocked I've been getting my nails done for several years .. within three days I already broke two nails and everything else popped off by Saturday. Waited 45 minutes to get a mani, pedi, and eyebrows waxed. A customer came in 30 minutes late for appointment. They took the late customer in immediately and told me I would have to wait another 30 minutes. I walked out. I have never had a good experience at sky nails. I always make an appointment and I end up waiting for at least 30 minutes. I am never satisfied with my nails. My most recent experience with sky nails I was overcharged $10, once I realized the mistake I called to double-check the pricing and went back to get it fixed about 20 minutes after my appointment was finished. They admitted to the overcharge and told me the manager would call me the next day to get it sorted out. A week later I never received a call so I called, they once again admitted to the overcharge but said they couldn't refund me and that I would get $5 off my next service. I will never go back and I do not recommend this place to anybody, it is a waste of time and money. read more

This was my second time here since it is no longer KC nails. The first time I got an infection, but I wasn't sure it was related to the pedicure. Today, my toenails were cut so short, they bled. The lady working on my feet tried to cut the nail even shorter while it was bleeding. I told her no more so she began filing the nails. It hurt and I told her to stop. My feet look awful and are painful. Socks even hurt. I will never try this place again. This was my favorite place before the new management! read more

We typically enjoy going here. I even bought a gift card right before shutdown to support. However, they put and expiration date for 2020 that I was unaware of. They would not take them even though we are still in a pandemic. I also didn't get the color I asked for on my pedicure it's not even close. I've been trying to find a new nail place after my tech at my usual place disappeared. I tried one another place and wasn't impressed and found this one had good Google reviews, but I should've checked Yelp! Firstly, I called and told them I typically get a clear dip with gel polish over the top. The guy on the phone told me he understood and they offered that. I will say, the guy I talked to did fit me in after close to do my nails, but it seemed like they had several people in after close too. I was actually really happy with them and the shape when I left but then a smudge appeared on my middle finger and ended up talking all the paint off with simple hand washing. I got it fixed the next day by them. I was happy again.. until 2 days later. It snapped off. Then the same day, my other middle finger tip snapped off (I do NO vigorous work with my hands). Another annoying thing was.. when I got there and told the girl what I wanted, she just started filling me with acrylic and said, "no this is stronger" like she didn't understand what I wanted. So now I have some dip nails and some acrylic? I'm about to go get them removed somewhere else because I honestly give up on the nail game. $50 flushed! read more

This is the first time I'm leaving a review. I wish it was a positive review instead of a negative one. I took my teenage daughter in to get her nails done and prepaid since I was not able to wait for her in the salon due to social distancing. The manicurist asked my daughter how long she wanted her nails and she said long. The lady said this length and she said no shorter. Then the manicurist said it will be an extra charge for that and then she asked what color nail polish. She said gel which I prepaid for and said that would be extra too. One of the younger girls that worked there stated her mom already prepaid for that. The older lady laughed out loud and said I charge the mom more. My daughter repeated I want my nails shorter and was ignored. Plus they talked about her in front of her in a different language and made her feel uncomfortable. When it was all said and done, her nails were not straight and looked terrible. I called and complained and they did say they would fix them. I asked for a refund instead and they said no. I explained that I would not want to put my daughter in a position that makes her feel uncomfortable and don't want to put her through that again. I will be finding another place to fix my daughter's nails and never go back! read more

worst nail salon i have ever been to. do not frequent here. i have been getting the dip powder for the past 2 years at the Nail Loft in Chesterfield & have never had any problems. since you're dipping your fingers in the powder, there's always access left over on your skin, & they always dip a brush in nail polish remover and clean up the edges so your skin isn't stained the color of the polish. i asked the tech at Sky Nails to please clean them up because they looked atrocious & her response was "you can scrub it off when you wash your hands" well i scrubbed and scrubbed and they still look like crap. spent $55 for a bad nail job. they also did my little sisters nails which also look horrible. read more

If you could give zero stars I would. I used to be a regular customer when it was KC Nails and Kim owned it. I have been a few times since it was sold. Decided a month ago to try it again as it's close to home, and after that decided it was the last time I would get my nails done at this salon. The nail tech was extremely rough, made my fingers hurt. She started to use rusty tools, until I said something, she was mad that I requested different tools. Makes me nervous since I am pregnant, and also a nurse that they would use rusty tools on any of their customers! The salon is falling apart, not clean at all! I have now found a much cleaner, nicer salon that I frequent. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I definitely would!! Yesterday my mother and I went to get our nails, and toes done. We usually get dip, and the lady that did my nails was incredibly rough with me. It felt like she was rushing to get through what needed to be done so she could be done. She drilled and drilled at my fingers, and never put me in the liquid they use to get the dip off in the first place. Since she couldn't get the access dip off from the previous visit, she put my new dip on top of the old dip. I shook it off and just waited to get my toes done. The lady that was doing my toes was assumingely making small talk, and asked how old I was. I continued to tell her that I was 15 years old. The lady then replied back with "Wow, you are BIG for your age." As a teenage girl who has struggled with her self image and weight her whole life, it was insanely heartbreaking to hear that from someone I didn't even know. I have never felt so unwanted, and uncomfortable in an environment where I am supposed to be relaxed, and calm. I will not be coming back, this was a horrible experience. I was in on the 20th for a pedi and full set. The entire pedi the manager who apparently had a redo really wasn't trying to work with her customer very well and in turn it became a free for all of an argument back and forth that I was brought into. Let's fast forward to my full set. Now the lady in for a redo as I was brought into it showed me her nails originally and several were very uneven. Instead of offering to fix them or give her a refund it was just the round of a circle of we don't offer refunds but it turns out I'm not skilled in the nails you ask for even though I'm the best nail tech here ‍ so why did you not say that before the last paid you 80 dollars for her nails? Well here I am. After leaving I myself had to go home and file mine evenly. Not a huge deal they weren't terrible but I've had better. I chalked it up to my nail tech being preoccupied with her managers client. What really gets me is here I am not even a week later and my nails are falling off. I spend 140 with tips for my nails to fall off and my toes have gel polish on the skin. I just don't have words. The ONLY friendly two were the MEN. The boss who was only there for a few minutes when I arrived and a teenage boy who tried to come to a common ground with the lady in for a redo but he was told he's not good at nails so he has no input. As a hairstylist I'm SUPER disappointed. You should take pride in EVERY client especially the ones that show it in their tip read more
