I don't usually leave reviews, but after living here for 5 years I feel like it's worth saying that I don't understand the bad reviews left here. I've consistently had a really good experience -- maintenance has always been super reliable. Angel is great, and every time I've needed something it's been taken care of the same day, sometimes even within an hour, which is honestly rare. Lab, the new manager, has been very responsive, understands all sides of the job, and easy to communicate with. The leasing office is always sweet, helpful, and quick to get back to you. Please do not live here. The management office is the most unresponsive I've encountered with. My smoke detector has expired and was beeping for a week and submitted maintenance requests multiple times, called, emailed, not fixing and answering. I give Sky a solid 4 stars. I lived here for a solid 2 years, and originally moved from my hometown in the Bay Area, California. As I moved to the opposite coast, I wanted the optimal true NYC experience of a great view and a central location - smack dab midtown West Manhattan. Very modern apartment, but at times I would see sketchy inhabitants in a very swanky, upscale place that seems to only be accessible to working professionals (rent usually starts $3100 monthly and you usually have to make 40 times the rent to qualify in NYC). This seemingly got better over time as they banned short-term rentals/airbnbs - I can see how this is an effort for quality control of those who have access to the building. I inquired about a sublet, and they are open to it as long as the person goes through a background check through the building. Very fair terms. Security-wise, there's a 24 hour doorman and an access fob to get to your floor and you have a valet toward the back where you get your packages. The kitchen was fairly modern, but I wish I was able to have a real oven as I am one of the few that cooks often in an actual kitchen in NYC. The washing machines were solid, and I enjoyed my bathroom very much. I also had a great view of the New Yorker and partial view of the Empire State Building in my former L unit in the mid 30's floor level. The foyer and general lobby area was one the best I've seen in New York - with the smooth bean-looking console and fireplace. Not to mention, a very distinct clean, crisp smell with soothing house music. It had a very modern feel to it that catered to a late 20's-early 40's demographic. A star deduction is mainly attributed to the few times Sky wasn't responsive in regard to phone calls and how amenities are not included in the rent or for a reasonable additional monthly/yearly fee. There's a Lifetime Fitness, but it's $250-$300 monthly, and the swimming pool is a whopping additional $800-$1000 a year to use. Transportation is a little trickier to navigate subway-wise as it's a lengthy 10-15 walk to the ACE lines, but there are busses and ferries that are a lot closer. If you're a fan of Citibikes, there's also a line of bikes along 42nd and 11th in front of the SUMAC fancy bodega. There is also a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes or so from Sky to take residents to the subway station. Upon moveout, I did my walk-out with one of the nice doormen who wished me good luck, and I managed to get over 95% of my deposit back. I really appreciate this as apartments commonly try to withhold a large chunk of the deposit upon moving out. I was able to take advantage of COVID rents here, and if rent didn't skyrocket so crazily, I would have been tempted to stay. A solid true NYC experience for a native Californian. Take this seriously: I wish I had when I listened to the previous mentions that this place has mold. I've had recurring issues that management has been slow to respond to or correct. Since moving in just a couple months ago, my health has suffered, showing skyrocketing levels of Verrucarin and Verrucarol and Aspergillus Toxin (Aspergillus Hemolysin), which cause memory issues, fatigue, brain fog, and neurological issues. At worst, cancer. I have experienced over two times that someone steal my groveries. The grocery bag is wide open and some items were missing when I open my apartment door. Management is 0/0. Very crazy neighbor, throw loud parties every night. Management never help. Break-ins happened many times to multiple units through out years. Management done nothing. 20% Units in this building are for low-incomers. That brings lots people who are drunk, drug overdosed all the time. Many Front desk guys and some maintenance guys are great guys, and I think they are way underpaid. I am happy to see them everyday, but just cannot deal with the management office. When you sign the lease here about the non-smoking rules, don't trust it, the fact is opposite. Here the sky luxury apartment is a welcome place for all the weed addicts and drug dealers. You know why, because they pay LOW and get HIGH. Besides the only "fancy" lobby, you can smell the marijuana odor almost every where, inside the apartments, the hall ways each floor, the elevators... 24/7. Just image inside your own apartment, you got waked up by the strong marijuana odor in the early morning and you couldn't fall asleep by the sustained weed smell at the midnight. This happened every day from your lease start until the end. Repeat, repeat and again. For sure that totally would ruin your life here like us. In your friends' eyes, you are living in the SKY, but you know you are suffering in the HELL. Then let's talk about the Management Office. I always believe there are no bad students in the world, just bad teachers or irresponsible teachers. The management office here is an amazing transparent team. They will play disappear game after you sign the lease, but they sometimes show up just to remind you to pay for the rent. Due to the marijuana odor issue, they can't take any effective measures, and for sure they won't kick out the drug tenants, instead they will force you, the Non-Fault Party to stay on the old lease until the long end, NO transfer, NO termination. The funny thing is as the "famous" Moinian Group, the management office doesn't even have a phone number to call, they don't provide any office staff's working emails, if you want to reach them, the managementinfo@liveatsky.com is the only access. When you face the small issues, they will tell you to call the front desk. When the issues are big they will say you should call the police. They love to shift responsibilities, and HIDING behind by using the Covid-19 perfect excuse to WATCH you negotiate with the front desk and the police. Every time when you email them, they will say "thank you for your patience, we are working on it", and it usually takes days, weeks, months and no more responses. Just remember, your lease is just 13 or 14 months, if they can't resolve your problem within 6 months, that means like they are working on SHIT. Their plan is literally like NO PLAN. The main reason we got upsets with the management office is because when you got a problem, their starting point is Not Trying to Help to resolve it, instead they are Shirking Responsibilities, Delaying Responses On Purpose until your lease end and Forcing you to Accept and Adapt your problem by the act of omission way. Trust me, living here you will feel helpless and disappointed. That will total destroy the Manhattan's image inside your brain. I only moved in here for the gym (which you pay full price for). Access to the pool is $800 a year per person. This is an overly priced apartment that is hastily built. There are over 1000 units so don't expect anything to be fixed quickly. My air conditioner broke every other week. It took them over a week to fix my fridge when it stopped working (all my food spoiled). They charged me for ordinary wear and tear. Apparently if you take hot showers and the steam causes water damage, you are responsible for it. When I moved in, they didn't clean or paint my apartment. This place also has a history of bed bugs. For a new Luxury building, this is unacceptable. Management is unresponsive to any concerns and can only be reached by email. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This was once my dream home but sadly the low class, evil and ruthless Management group Moinian hired to run it is running it straight to the ground! they care for no one but their pockets, we are one of the only building that has not nor allowed to show our support for Ukraine as its forbitten by management as its a violation of lease and can be evicted! Guess what is also a violation?? a doorbell camera! Im am a domestic violence survivor and recently installed a blink doorbell cam on my door and I was immediately sited and warned to remove it or else it would be removed by management and it was, but then I realized all the premium levels had door bell cams (47uints) and were not being harassed so i decided to place my back on and file discrimination complaint which hud and human rights picked up and currently investigating , this did not sit well with Sky!!! they immodestly filed suits against me in 3 different courts claiming i was a danger to residents fabricated lies such as sexual harassment toward a female resident in the elevator yet I'm gay so that is far from the truth and very serios allegations all the staff give me attitude and constantly harass me, every 10 min i have someone photographing /recording my door sent or granted access to my floor by sky management as each resident can only access their own floor, they bad mouth me to other guest and caused me great finical burden, disclose personal medical information and the police is bought by them so they can do no wrong , they even have stolen things from me but the most evilest thing was this past week someone stole a friends bike in the elevator i called police and the officer said they were to review elevator cams and ask me to come with so i can help point out anyone unusual i grabbed my cell and went i gave my statement and told me i was being taken to see footage when im grabbed by detective and arrested these detective would not allow me to a phone call no lawyer nothing! i refused to be fingerprint as i did nothing wrong and they told me i was being charged for destroying someone property at sky ! i ask what was it they said a door bell cam which was a lie they said they had proof !! all they had was a still image of me taking a picture of the owners son or another residents door that had a doorbell cam like mine and was not being harassed, they wouldnt disclose whose cam it was that they claim i destroyed i asked them was the cam taking they said no so i said great then my finger prints would be on it, no respond , i told them i had proof i didn't do it because i was recording so they confiscated my phone with all the videos of police/sky wrong doing and charged me with the crime after attempting to send me to psych ward and tying me to chair where i was "accidently" dropped the stairs from 4th floor injuring my back! iwelcome any lawyer or other victims to come forward and help me fight this battle and show these monster the justice will be served !Thank you Shane for writing your truth ! read more

The master key in his building was stolen and every night there are break-ins in different units, residents' apartments are robbed or looted by multiple people we have identified and captured on video, we suspect the master key has been copied and sold multiple times. The Monian Group's management makes this building very unsafe. It's a crime scene every day, and NYPD officers are here sometimes several times a day. The company tries to run a luxury building at a low cost. It is unacceptable that security cameras have not worked for over two years. It's even unclear to me if it's legal. Two versions of the story have been told to me, one being that to save money they are not fixing them and they are all broken, and the other being that they turn them off on purpose to conceal the fact that the building is a crime-fest, because that would affect the rental prices. The building is 80/20. Some people moved here through a lottery scheme and have been living here ever since. There is no way they will leave. There are some of them who don't even pay rent anymore, but they can't be removed from the building because they have "conditions". Many of them are fine, but there are some who are criminals, mentally ill (I mean very ill, not just a bit), how ill are they? Their medications are often not taken, and they harass and attack other residents and building staff. Two examples of what has happened here: SWAT was called because one of them threatened to shoot and kill everyone with his gun, the other stabbed his dog to death and threw it down the garbage chute. Drug activities are also quite prevalent in the building. We have seen homeless people come here to get drugs and lay around hallways and staircases. They live in empty units, laundry rooms, and hidden corners of the building, which we are not sure why management allowed this to happen, but this is nothing new. At some point, everything in the building has been stolen, from the computer that tracks packages at the valet to the clothes we place in the donation box for charity. The full rent tenants, like myself, pay thousands of dollars each month and have to deal with this. It would be enough to keep you in therapy for months. I find the management team to be an absolute disgrace. There is either an attitude of ignoring you or shifting responsibilities when there are problems. They are only good at removing honest Google reviews and policing residents. They will tell you to call the police if you have any safety concerns because they cannot do much. Whenever something is broken in the unit, they 1) close residents' maintenance requests and pretend nothing was ever submitted 2) refuse to fix something due to the cost disapproval and ask the residents to pay. In order to save money, they hire a third-party company to manage the front desk. 3rd party company has been sending new people constantly. People who: 1) do not know the building well, 2) don't have background checks and nobody knows if they are trustworthy, and 3) show no commitment to the building since they are often here for a few nights and then leave. One of these guys was sleeping on his shift at the time the master key was stolen. What were the reasons for the master key's easy theft in the first place? Prioritizing cost cutting over residents' safety. Management has no shame in making so much money from us and jeopardizing our safety. Our lock and key are jokes. The locks on our building are the simplest among other luxury buildings in this area, the cheapest, and can be opened by burglars within a minute. It happens so often that people lose packages, mail, and deliveries. They refuse to install a gate at the valet counter because it doesn't look luxurious. It is possible to steal packages at night by jumping over valet counters. They don't care, of course. When they don't care about your life or death, why would they care about your packages? I have personally been harassed and stalked multiple times by random people and mentally ill residents, called the police, etc. There are a lot of people who live in this building who experience the same thing. The building is constantly filled with homeless people, criminals, drug addicts, and random people. What's the reason? In a building with more than 1200 units, sometimes there is just one person working at the front desk, and at night it is ALWAYS just one person. And that 1 staff sometimes need to step away to help residents or take a bathroom break or whatever. People are free to come and go as they please when there is no one at the front desk. Elevators service all floors without a key fob, staircases are not locked, you can access all floors simply by foot, and there are no working security cameras in the building. Since I live adjacent to Sky I cannot enjoy any sense of tranquility or peace due to this frat house apartment building. I am a nightshift healthcare worker which requires me to rest during the day, however, the pool parties that are held by Sky every weekend throughout the summer are incredibly invasive. Considering that the music at Sky is loud enough to disrupt my sleep across the street, I cannot imagine how their residents must feel. My concerns have been completely dismissed by management. I've lived at the Sky building for over 3 years owned by The Moinian Group . Outside of their ridiculous rents that are charged, and pretty mediocre amenities, most of which you have to pay for anyway I've lived here for over three years, have paid rent on time, and even during the pandemic, paid my rent with whatever means I had to do so. What did they do during the pandemic to be compassionate? They waived the 3.5% processing fee to pay rent on your credit card. What a joke. Now, after living here for three years, way prior to covid, what's the thanks I get for living here? A beautiful rent renewal letter... For... ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED dollars more than my already ridiculously expensive rent, a total of a THIRTY THREE percent increase. What a punch in the face to a tenant who paid rent consistently on time, and for what? If there's one thing I'm happy about, is the ability to share this with the thousands of people I know in nyc, their realtors etc. This is the true definition of a large corporation who cares zero about their tenants, how they live or what they suffer through. Live here if you like to experience untimely and improper building maintenance, management incompetence/neglect, and subpar valet services. Upon movein, be prepared for leasing to bait and switch your apartment for one you did not sign lease for, and prepare to be inconvenienced or stuck in that unit or pay the $2,500 transfer fee for a mistake made by them. When you host a house warming, warn your guests that the heating and ac unit does not work and flips on and off. That the unit leaks and floods on the inside so that mold and bacteria can grow a culture to get them sick. The sharp edges on the flap can cause serious injury from just opening the thermostat almost removing a finger. Similarly, have an excuse as to why your floors warp and inform your guests that it takes on average 3-4 times for maintenance to stop a leaking kitchen sink, bath tub plug mechanism, apartment phone to the front desk, dishwasher, and watch out for the blasted elevators. Even through routine 'maintenance' you can expect to get stuck once or twice a year for a couple hours or so until the firemen save you. Try also to enjoy recalled bosh convection oven appliance that blows up and creates fire hazard spontaneously. In one year of living here, I have had many issues like the ones above in addition to noisy neigbbors and management pleads the 5th on everything. Management stole a friend's personal medical documents from then and refused do give them back which is an unlawful breach of HIPPA guidelines. They like to keep random files they have no rights to, and they refuse to give documents back and threaten to call the police on you if you ask for something to be done about an issue and follow up in good faith. They do not take action to make living spaces cooperative. They tolerate noise complaints and choose to ignore issues. In fact, Christine Henson, current Head of the management office, willfully shirks on all her promises, and is known to say that they are quote working on something behind the scenes, and 9/10 times no acceptable resolution is found. Their accounting system is flawed and they like to make concessions disappear from your ledger so as to trick you into charging more rent. The untilities are meant to be billed in bulk to lower cost, but it's really a scheme to make people in studios and 1 bedrooms pay more for the energy used 24/7 in common spaces amenities and where the largest units use the most energy. Do not expect half of the concierge staff to lift a finger for you, but you can expect 10 packages to go missing at the valet in a year's time. Also, you can count on the valet letting your grocery's go bad, promise dry cleaning will be done on a certain date for a special event and fail to get it done, and alterations to be done at a low level so that they unravel or come undone. The surrounding area on the block is always filled with garbage and you must watch your step because there is a pile of poop every stretch of the block. Enjoy the building in all of its 'character.' The units above the model corporate apartments from the 43rd floor up are poorly constructed because they started to bounce checks for the construction workers so they started to cut corners and the electrical is faulty, plumbing is horrendous, and on average 2 of the 4 elevators are down. One resident lost a million dollars worth of artwork because there was a weak pipe that broke in the bathroom flooding the apartment. Corporate is extremely unhelpful and one office worker admits that bad people run the Moinian group and if it weren't for their check they would stop working there. If that doesn't tell you enough, the Life Time gym also has broken down amenities. The spa and cold pool are constantly out of order. There you go when corporate doesn't care the staff at sky doesn't care and they charge a premium for rent and make residents suffer from their mistakes. But, by all means move in. At least the lobby you pass in and out of for a few seconds each day has about 10 million dollars worth of work into it. [Update 3.4.19] What a good look! As so-called management continues to manage the building remotely from the safety of your homes, tenants are experiencing intolerable conditions at this so called "luxury" building. Garbage is piling up in trash rooms, basic maintenance takes days to remedy, homeless people roam stairways, drug dealers operate from the premises, there is no security in place as other buildings around us have added security due to rising crime/homeless issues, parking in the driveway is out of control, packages are being stolen from mailroom, handicap people cannot exit the building as no one is available to help with front door, handicap people cannot enter 10th floor park, elevators are constantly out of service on top floors and you now have 1 person at front desk for 1200 apartments. The list goes on and tenants are organizing and will no longer tolerate the situation. I have happily lived in this building for 4 years and rent 2 apartments here, but the building management has not lived up to their part of our rental agreement and they need to immediately put a plan into place to fix the situation. For the tenants who constantly losing hot water(I lost hot water on thanksgiving and couldn't shower before the dinner), please submit a complaint through NYC portal. The management is disgusting. Between 10 PM and 6 AM, the inside temperature must be at least 62 degrees Fahrenheit at all times. There is no outside temperature requirement. You can make a complaint about a residential building that does not have enough hot water at any time. a day ago Things to know before moving into sky building Cons: 1.Inconsistent layout depending on the apartment line Example : if you are in the H line - living room layout is bad , tiny kitchen , difficult to place your couch in a position facing the TV) and some Lines very tiny closet space as good as no closet 2.One or more elevators are always out of service so you could be waiting for an elevator over 10minutes specially during peak hours (on way or return from work) - expect to be stuck in the elevators for 30 minutes multiple times - personally have gotten stuck twice in one year -know ppl who have gotten stuck multiple times 3.very Thin walls so expect the voice to travel and gap between the main door and the floor so if someone is moving in or walking by you can hear it easily 4.Hot water reset required on regular basis - so basically the building runs out of hot water during peak hours (Mon -Friday) you have to call the front desk and wait for the super to reset the hot water which takes 20 minutes 5. If you don't like moving - well expect the rent to shoot up by $500 every year if you want to continue with the same apartment 6.if you want to move to a different apartment within the building - management doesn't care about existing customer and they will hike up the rent but if you are a new customer will give you a promotional month - example : say you want move to apt x - management will quote you 6000 per month for 12 months but if a new customer wants the same apartment the customer would get an additional free month which means the new customer will get the same apartment for $5540- the management does not care for its existing customer base when you ask them they say it's the policy to give the apartment to existing customer base on a higher price 7. The building only owns one outdoor space that is on the 10 floor rest of the amenities are through lifetime so after the 1st 3 months of move in you have to pay extra - you looking at approx $219 for lifetime to access gym/spa etc - note if you have kids - under 21 most of these amenities are not accessible for them - for the outdoor pool you have to $150 per day to access it - also this particular lifetime gym is a bit run down 8. Management don't know what the hell they are doing. There has been strong cigarette smell coming from the master bedroom for the past 4 months now but they still haven't taken any action despite reaching out to the front desk and the management numerous times. I just woke up from my sleep because of the cigarette smell, called the front desk, they told me handyman isn't available and im left with no resolution whatsoever again. I've also used their cleaning service in the past and the maid threw out most of my jewelry boxes, and she claimed that she "accidentally threw out" my brand new Tiffanys bracelet in a tiffany box and the blue bag. When we confronted the valet, he just shrugged and said he can ask the maid. I didn't get my bracelet back nor got reimbursed. All they care about is looking fancy and not actually keeping the residents happy. Everything about Sky is just pretentious. They ask for feedbacks but never implement changes. I've only had good experiences during my 2 years in the building. The doormen are the nicest and most accommodating I've come across. They have become not just doormen, but also a friend. They are always in a good mood and willing to help whenever possible. The maintenance guys are extremely responsive to issues/repairs. Sorry, very sad to post this one star review. I am very patient but the management truly sucks. They claim they will open the amenities in March. However, the amenities finally opened in June. They start to sell this apt before construction completed. I moved in in mid Feb. they have enormous construction workers in the building for at least three months. It's ok, is all ok. Something not ok is the quality of this building. Since is a new rental, my apt has extremely loudly noises when the weather is windy. Handyman from the building does not know how to fix it. They just leave it like there. They cannot figure it out what's wrong. The reason I post this review is that management does not even care about their residents. This is fourth time that their construction left the rope outside the window. When the wind blows like today, it woke me up in midnight. No one is able to help. No apologies from management. Never! We decided this was a good fit for us for several reasons: *they were including all amenities free for 6 months - they lied. Read the lease again, still think this was a material misrepresentation that could cost the building thousands of dollars if the tenants decide to organize. *construction would be complete in January - they lied. Think multiple nights of construction ropes banging against your window at 2 am in the morning. This has happened 6 or 7 times now and has only been remedied after two hours. This is an easy fix and people are pissed, make your construction company tie the ropes correctly... *shuttles were to be running every day - they lied. One shuttle every 45 minutes that is already crowded with the building occupancy at 30 percent capacity. Imagine how awesome it will be at full capacity. *smoke free building. I cannot say they have lied here but our apartment has been invaded by second hand smoke on multiple occasions and has not currently been remedied. A recent decision ruled that this is a breach of the warranty of habitability. Otherwise the apartment itself is nice and the staff has been great. read more

My sister and I live together in a two-bedroom apartment at Sky and absolutely love it here. The building staff is amazing. They go out of their way every day to be helpful and solve any problems that arise. All of the apartments are brand new and well sized. Plus, we have a balcony and the views are AMAZING. We love our apartment so much that we even convinced our other sister to move in two doors down on the same floor. Her studio is spacious with equally gorgeous views. During my apartment search, I looked at Atelier and Silver Towers and I liked Sky WAY better than both. Atelier is falling apart and the amenities in the basement smell awful. Management must have given up all together. Silver Towers is nice and the amenities seem well cared for but, for about the same price, I chose to live at Sky where the views and amenities are better and everything is brand new. My favorite amenity at Sky is Lifetime Fitness located on floor 11. I use the fitness center and the water club every day. The water club is amazing and includes a sauna, a giant steam room, a cold pool, a hot tub, and a rain shower. One of my favorite parts of Lifetime Fitness is the sunny outdoor pool. There is nothing like it in NYC. The pool has a strict guest policy and isn't overly crowded on weekends. While hanging at the pool, I love ordering food and beer/wine/smoothies/so on from the Life Cafe. The Cafe has a delicious/healthy menu plus nothing is better than relaxing by the pool, soaking in the sun, and sipping on a chilled glass of wine. Some other cool amenities include lightening fast elevators (I get to floor 54 in seconds), valet service (packages, dry cleaning, so on), giant outdoor space, doggy center, and daily breakfast/coffee. There are negative elements to every apartment building but I think the positive elements of Sky drastically outweigh the negative. The disgruntled reviews on Yelp that I have read do not represent the views of the majority of people who live here. Everyone I have spoken to (on the elevator, at the gym, at the pool, so on) love it! I highly recommend stopping by for a tour. I don't think you will be disappointed. read more

I have lived at sky for about a year now. I have a 2 br 2bath. I have two children and we fit comfortably, it's definitely smaller than my last apartment but nothing can beat the view. I have had minimal encounters with the management staff but they seem friendly enough. The concierge, mailroom, maintenance, doorman and everyone else are very friendly and helpful. I have heard other tenants complaining about being treated rudely but I honestly have always had pleasurable encounters with the staff. The building it's self is gorgeous and all of the amenities (most I can't afford) are great I can assume. There is a park on the 10th floor that is nice for lounging and catching some sun. The only downside is having to use a key fob to access the elevator it is extremely annoying especially when you're carrying bags or boxes and can't get to the fob in time. I get the need for security because there are a ton of celebrities and athletes that live here but it's still pretty annoying. read more

I love the view and the luxurious atmosphere. BUT the whole staff has an attitude from the doorman who barely looks at you when you greet him or ask him a question to the receptionist at the leasing office who doesn't even say hi (even if she must be 19 year old). Start hiring PROFESSIONALS!!! I think you should rethink entirely your team because no residents in a descent mind want to be treated like they are looked down at, especially when paying that rent. Get down your pedestal! You guys are employees there, that's it! So act accordingly and provide the exceptional service to your residents you like to brag about. read more

If you are looking to move into any units beside G (F&H). DON'T. If units on both sides of one apartment are both available, high chance it's not coincident. Don't suspect your danger radar. Run away as fast as you can. Some tenants here don't care about anything and just want to get wasted and keep blasting music. Invite intoxicated people over and go crazy. I guess when you got lucky and pay very little for a great view, the urge of showing off and feeling good about yourself in front of all your friends is unstoppable. We would think people with kids should be good neighbors but have you met people who smoke weed in presence of their young children? As I said, they don't care about anything, certainly not health nor education of their kids. Management can't do too much about it. It's almost impossible to move out mid-term of lease. THINK AGAIN BEFORE SIGNING! I complained about noise problem and marijuana smell since second day of move-in. Little changes. Seriously don't know how to tolerate another one year of this place. long story short: this building and the company (Moinan Group) is horrible. I worked here for less than a year and decided to not come in one day because i was appalled with the treatment tenants were receiving. Tentants pay 3000-8000 a month for an apartment whose heat, air, water, ect breaks within moments or them moving in. the staff wont fix it and if they do, it breaks the next day. the building manager - Christine lies to tenants faces and also doesn't do any work other than bitch and complain. its an amazing place ;) read more

Approximately 1-2 month before your lease end you will receive this email from their leasing team tell you that according to the lease you signed. They have the legal right to enter your apartment Monday to Friday 12pm-5pm with no other notice for house showing. After I called this really " nice" leasing manager Grady, he told me that he is actually doing me a favor because according to the lease they are allowed to enter the apartment 7-24 with no notice and he decided to give me a brake on the weekend. Thanks god I have a lawyer so I called my lawyer and find out he is absolutely lying. They can only enter your apartment on Monday-Friday with a 24 hours notice. After speaking with other people live in this "Luxury building" serval people has been though this issue, some guy from the leasing just use their key to enter you apartment when and however they want to show the apartment to potential clients. And tell you it's according to the lease you signed, I'm thinking about filling a lawsuit against them, if anyone else live here has been though this kind of issue please contact me. read more

Beautiful apartments and excellent location. The police are constantly at the building due to major narcotics issue among the tenants. Pot smoking is prevalent and stinks up many of the floors. Many of the tenants also smoke in their apartments despite the lease saying that it is prohibited. The smell of pot and cigarettes often seeps to other apartments so you can often count on that aroma to permeate your clothes and home. Air BnB happens here very often. The clients show up and often say that's why they are here. Management gives the front desk folks mixed signals about how to handle the pot, smoking, and Air BnB issues. Management does little to nothing about this. This is one of the most expensive buildings in the area yet is run like a halfway house. Choose carefully. The gym is crazy expensive, lacks some basic equipment and you will find disgusting hair and massive dirt behind and around each machine. The pool price goes up 40% every year with no added benefits to the members. read more

From the minute we walked in the door to start our lease, it was downhill. From not having our apt ready to not finding the key to the apt to give us. Onto the people who work there who have such attitudes. Why? Slow down on the attitudes.... it looks ridiculous. From the time we walked into the apt.... it was absolutely filthy. We love living here. The staff and management has been great, incredibly welcoming and helpful. The gym is the best I've seen and the building is brand new and beautiful. We will most likely renew our lease. This isn't the fault of the building, but the parking garage is a rip-off. The "special rate" that they offer to residents is $200 more per month then the other icon parking garages near the building. In fact, they loudly and obnoxiously laughed at us when I asked if they can match the rate of the icon garage a couple of blocks away that we have been parking in for the past year. We don't park here and that sucks. It was something we were really looking forward to. I've never seen or met an Airbnb'er as others have mentioned. So, that hasn't been an issue. read more

My friend's apartment is very expensive and seems rather cookie-cutter. The building is often very busy with ABB, units being shown, visitors, etc... Feels like you are in a hotel the day of a convention, not a very chill place to live imo. read more

I love the location and the building is very luxurious. We deal with a few neighbors who feel over privileged from time to time but other than that it is a great place and I have met a lot of wonderful people from the staff to neighbors. I've seen reviews of people complaining of smoke smell but I would say the smell of food cooking is more prevalent. read more
