After Hunter and his crew finished their work, that completely changed. They carefully pruned, limbed, and removed a few smaller trees that were blocking the view, and now we can see Mount Rainier in all its glory. Hunter was incredibly meticulous. He spent a great deal of time studying the view, looking at the mountain, and determining exactly which trees needed to be trimmed and how far back they should go. Everything was done with care, patience, and purpose. He listened to what we wanted, offered thoughtful suggestions, and clearly takes tremendous pride in his work. The transformation is incredible. We can now sit outside on our porch or at our table in the middle of the yard, enjoy a meal, and take in the majestic beauty of Mount Rainier. My wife can even enjoy the view from her greenhouse. We hired AmeriCool to install the HVAC system in our new build in 2022-23. When placing the heat…read morepump, they opted for convenience instead of paying attention to the design of the home. Whereas the plans called for a unit which exhausted upward, they opted to install a unit which exhausted out the side -- and pointed that right at our front door/porch and directly across several thousand dollars worth of landscaping that had already been installed (unit placement was one of the last install items). Flash forward to winter. Though the weather was typical PNW -- rainy but above freezing -- the heat pump's frigid exhaust created an ever-thickening layer of ice on the concrete porch and steps just outside the front door and along the paver walkway leading to the driveway. Also, the exhaust desiccated several of our plants. We contacted the manufacturer who stated we could build a 4' high cedar slat fence 2' in front of the unit to redirect the exhaust, but this ultimately failed because the unit was tucked into a corner nook between the garage and home. The redirected exhaust built up an ice sheet under the unit and 10' up the adjacent gutter until the ice pushed the unit over on its side. Americool's response: "It happens and you're not under warranty." We worked with another company on a solution which we ultimately performed ourselves -- a wind baffle coupled with gapping the fence slats, a tray under the unit with underground piping to our storm drain, installation of an outlet and placing a plug-in deicing rod in the tray to keep the condensate drainage liquid so it can drain away. On a new build! They could have located the unit anywhere! Or better yet just installed the upward-exhausting unit called for in the plans. Just avoid these fools.

I live in a high rise condo with post tension cable (I still don't fully understand what this means other than it holds the building together and if someone damages it, it can compromise the entire integrity of the building structure - Serious stuff!) in Seattle with very strict rules regarding who can drill into the ceiling. After speaking to 3 different companies in the area about upgrading the wire blinds in my condo, I was about to give up. One company was very short with me and didn't follow up; the other two didn't want to go anywhere near the post tension cable. When I reached out to Seth, I tried to set the proper expectations regarding the challenges I've had. He was very optimistic, said he was up for the challenge and came out the next day to assess the situation. He answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns and even provided some design/style tips. I decided to go with the top down/bottom up motorized Hunter Douglas honey comb shades. Seth also chased down my HOA board to get all the appropriate approvals needed to install the blinds in our condo. The very next day I had a reasonable quote and swatches of samples started showing up a few days later. The installation went very well too. The certified Hunter Douglas installation team was able to get the job done in about 3 hours and took the time to show me how to operate them. Seth was of course on site to help make sure everything went smoothly. I could not be happier with my new blinds, and so glad I took his advice and went with the motorized blinds instead of manual - best money ever spent!
