i was disappointed over all to be honest. They will try to up charge you when you arrive. Bring your own glasses otherwise they will charge you $20 for a cheap pair of glasses. Make sure to do your bookings online otherwise they will jackup the price at the counter if you pay cash. the Price was $250 but they tried to charge us $300 when we got there. I label them as scammers. I am in the field of safety and what i observed is that some instructors dont care about safety much. Make sure you dont have Jeff as your instructor. this dude doesn't talk and doesnt give you much safety instructions. he will tell you what to do when you are falling off the sky. I had to listen to others to make sure i know what needs to be done. This guy stays in his own tune and stayed on his phone throughout. All the other good instructors i saw they were talking to their folks instructing them but this guy hardly tell me anything and then had the audacity to hand me a card at the end to zelle him a tip..seriously! some folks were really nice but some were rude. The skydive was incredible but hope you don't need customer service for an exceptional reason. When I exited the plane I could hear. When we touched the ground I could barely hear anything. I thought it was from needing to equalize pressure in my ears so went ahead and put a deposit on another jump. Bad news, my hearing didn't come back to an appreciable degree so I went to my ENT for treatment. That didn't help. I have been sent for further treatment in hope of regaining some of the lost hearing. My doctors have told me I can never skydive again. I contacted SkydiveGeorgia with this information and they have refused to refund my deposit because of their no refund policy. No exceptions apparently even for medical reasons. I requested that the owner be asked and of course have heard nothing back from the manager who had said she would call me back Monday or Tuesday of this week. They would rather get a lousy review than refund my $25. I told them this was coming and still nothing. They wouldn't even apply it to my friend's jump when I asked for that as an alternative. They were very emphatic but not once showed any concern for me as a customer. Not even an I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. Nothing but we are keeping your money. BE WARNED people. It isn't common but YOU CAN LOSE YOUR HEARING skydiving. Their warnings include possible death but nothing about hearing loss. If that had been included I would not have jumped or would have taken measures to protect my ears. Be smart and protect your hearing! read more

This place was awesome, the staff was dope and I didn't die!!! We're pretty sure we did the paperwork when we paid but did it again on the iPads when we arrived. We watched the informational safety video and headed to the desk to check in. We bought two pairs of goggles and a hoodie... Not cheap but necessary. The wait was about 2.5-3 hours but we got to watch others go up and land from the observation deck. I was paired with Jake (from State Farm) and he was awesome, pretty chill so I wasn't freaked out. Gave me a few instructions, talked to me while we went up and we were the last to jump out of the plane, 14,000 feet I still can't believe I did it but it was awesome.... Absolutely amazing! I had the best time and this was an experience to remember. I decided to go last minute for my birthday and I couldn't have asked for a more memorable day! Charlie was great, he kept me calm and focused and helped me to take in the entire moment. He gave great references and reminded me to breathe and just enjoy the moment. While waiting to jump it is nice to see others landing from their jump. I definitely bought a video package for my first jump and it did not disappoint. Warning. DO NOT WEAR MASCARA. I wore mascara during my jump and it smudged like crazy. I looked like a pyscho when I landed and people thought I cried.  Anyways, had my first tandem skydiving here at skydive over georgia. They were having a summer special you had to call for. 1 person tandem skydiving was $157, and I purchased the video deluxe I believe $119 dollars. I scheduled a tandem jump with my boyfriend, our scheduled time was 11:00AM on 9-8-2020. We walked in, filled out the information for the video, the front lady took our weight, and purchased $10 goggles( I called ahead of time and asked if we can purchase the goggles from Amazon or somewhere else and they said no). The goggles must be purchased because of the COVID-19 Pandemic ( according to the front desk lady). This did not make sense to me, because no one was wearing mask inside of the building. There are signs that says follow social distancing, but social distancing is not enough. I would have felt safer if everyone, including the instructors were wearing masks before the jump and have them removed after.  No temperature checks were taken as well, so you honestly don't know who has COVID-19 or not...The goggles threw me off because they could have disinfected them, but I believe they wanted extra money from customers. My boyfriend and I were the only people wearing masks. No one else was wearing masks, which was quite strange to me coming from califorrnia. They do have one hidden fee called booking fee, Ibelieve it was around $57.00. We were the first set of jumpers and waited about an hour and a half to get on the airplane and skydive. My instructor was Charlie. He doesn't mention any instructions to you before the jump, but instead on the airplane. I believe he does it this way so you don't get nervous and just enjoy your time skydiving.  Jumping out of the airplane was quick  and easy. Landing with Charlie was easy too. The only thing was I looked crrazy when Ilanded. My hair was a mess and my eyes loooked like PANDA eyes.  My video recorder jumper name was David. He was very nice and kept us informed about everything. He is a talker which calmed our nerves down.  According to the paper they give you, your skydiving should be available from 24-48 hours. However, my video was not available after 48 hours, but 72 hours. Overall, jump was fine, they need to adapt extra precautionary measures because I did not feel safe :) read more

I did this for my 40th birthday! The turn up was real! Lol! Completely liberating and Aaron was my guide. He made the dive seem effortlessly and the reason why I would come back again. All together I had six brave friends that are now officially friends for life LOL! Truly a memorable day. In hindsight, it was perfect that Aaron gave me the most detailed instructions as we were ascending. Otherwise, I would've been like "huh" "oh wait do what?!" Lol. When you get there you don't immediately jump and that is specified when I purchased the activity. There was a few folks ahead of us plus I came with a group so it was a must we were together. The skydive staff accommodated us and I am thankful for it. It was probably an hour's time after arrival that we jumped, which was good. It allowed me to get any extra nerves out I needed but I must say we were waiting on one of my group members to arrive. But we were expecting it to take anywhere from an hour to 3 hours to jump so they exceeded expectations on that front! We reserved for 8am so we could get it out the way and not spend our day making our nerves worse. So if you do it...go early! As far, as the jump? Well I'll let you be your own judge. I would def do it again...with skydive GEORGIA! Oh and don't eat prior to. Save the liquor and whatever your choice until after you jump. Be in the moment! And also so you don't or yourself! Did this for my birthday. we went on a groupon, this place doesn't look like much from the outside when you get there but we had so much fun. they give a lot of information and safety stuff, that you should maybe pay attention to. but they are very safe from the time you get there up until you are finished the jump. they have good customer service and are very attentive to your concerns... you will have concerns. the plane looked pretty old and you are packed in pretty good but it gets the job done. there are weight limits , i think 250lbs.. so keep that in mind. this place is out in the country so you might want to pack a lunch. read more

What you need to know: Long wait times so get there an hour before your reservation time. They may be a bit pricier than others, but worth it. Get the photo packages! Great instructions to help you out as your nerves increase. Some may crack jokes but it's all in good fun. The whole process once it's your turn takes about 10mins from the ride up to landing. Been wanted to skydive for a long time now, and days before my 31st bday, I decided to take the plunge! My instructor was Jeff aka El Jefe. He was amazing! Made sure to be clear about the instructions and hyped me up to get me ready for what is always a nerve wracking experience. My videographer (I got the photo/video package where someone jumps with you), Matt was equally as amazing and a great hype man to make sure we got a great video and good photos to share. I got here about 45mins before my reservation time and only waited about an hour. This is probably because I did it in mid-November so it was a bit cold and I guess that deters people, but I've heard of wait times up to 3 hours in the summer, so make sure you get there as early as you can! From strapping me up to make sure I was secure (they check everything MULTIPLE times) with a little humor to lighten up my nerves, to making sure to talk to me on the plane ride up, to the jump, everything went seamlessly well and I was thoroughly enjoyed by my experience. The only caveat I had was the straps did hurt my inner thigh after the chute deployed and during the float down but it was only a few minutes so it wasn't so bad. Would highly recommend Skydive Georgia to anyone thinking of making the jump for the first time, and would definitely be back if I felt the urge to again - they also give discounts after your first jump if you put a small down payment down the same day that's good for two years! read more

My girlfriend got this for me for my birthday. We had previously discussed it and she surprised me. I'm so glad she did. It was that incredible. You just can't duplicate this sort of experience with anything else. It was truly amazing. But I wanted to comment about all of the negative reviews about this place. There is a lot of truth to the idea that it is all dependent upon the instructor you have. I had Ronnie, he took me through it as he strapped me into my harness and I felt fairly well informed. Having been in the military, I am comfortable with high risk activities having little instruction and lots of experience. Lol. My girlfriend's instructor gave her very little information and the whole gang often made several jokes about skydiving calamities. I took it all in stride. If you have ever been around the military or high risk activity groups before, humor is the most common and effective coping device. Don't take offense. The truth of the matter is there is very little to tell you about your experience. There are just a couple of things to keep in mind. And honestly, you will forget it all anyway as soon as your butt leaves the bench. So they could give you a three day course on sky diving and it would do you little to no good. Just: keep your head up as you go out the door (my instructor had to pry my head back from looking down at the ground) keep your legs behind you, arms out, and when you land, lift your feet up. That is really it. So don't stress out if they don't go over the aerodynamics of falling at 120 MPH, it won't matter anyway. My girlfriend and I had a blast. She was unsettled about not getting a lot of instruction, but when we were back on the ground, my instructor told us that hers was one of the best in the area and had been jumping since he was a kid. I know it is completely counter-intuitive to relax when you don't receive a doctoral dissertation when you are preparing to do something like this, but it really is going to be okay. Every person we encountered was sooo friendly they made the experience that much better. My friend and I did a first time tandem sky dive & added the photography package. When we arrived we were greeted, signed in, and settled in for a long (2.5 hour) wait before our time began. We also had a friend that came along just to watch. We hung out on the back porch and watched some epic landings. I would suggest you bring your charger and a book or something to occupy your time. The guys are joking the entire time and just making sure that you feel super comfortable as you head up to the correct altitude. We had several questions for the receptionist and she was absolutely the most friendly person In the world. After a weather delay pushed our times back, we got to sit around and chat with all the instructors and people which was absolutely a blast. TANDEM SKYDIVING - Two people making a tandem jump where the instructor wears a parachute, while the student wears a harness to connect to the instructor. ----------------- THE SCENE My first cousin whom I just met for the 1st time ever last year was in town. We are the EXACT same age and yet we never knew of each other because of old family squabbles that kept us apart. The best discovery of all is we are nearly identical in personality, so we hit it off instantly. He's lived life surrounded by family who are not very adventurous; content only to stay at home and not travel. So meeting me has brought out his wild side. He has a list of things he wants to do in the future, but none more of a priority than skydiving. I was so proud to share in this life moment with him. THE EXPERIENCE Shockingly I didn't have any butterflies. Instead I was totally stoked and ready to go! When you first arrive, you must take a few moments to fill out paperwork assuring them if you die no one in your family will sue them or any of the companies associated with the dive (such as the manufacturer of the parachute). What a comforting feeling! You then proceed to watch a video that further assures you perfect people or perfect conditions don't exist and you very well could die today (not kidding). Armed with this AWESOME knowledge, you are then asked if you care to go even higher than the standard 10,000 feet. Other than the three available video packages, it's the only add-on cost offered above and beyond your prepaid jump fee. We decided to go with it since it was just $15 and doubled your free-fall time. You then get weighed and soon after assigned to a jump instructor. Being weighed is important in matching you up to an instructor since the parachutes have weight limits and so does the plane. NOTE: The weight limit to jump is 250 lbs. Also if you weigh over 230 lbs, you will have to pay an additional $20... kinda like an oversized luggage fee. I was just tipping the oversized luggage scale. They send you up in "loads" and we were assigned the 3rd load of the day. We arrived around 11am on a Friday and were walking to the plane by 12:45pm. It was awesome to witness the previous two jumps as they descended from the sky, but I was eager to experience it for myself! THE JUMP Today was arguably thee perfect day to jump. There was barely a cloud in the sky, the atmosphere was warm and hardly any wind present. The flight was fairly smooth given this was a dual propeller turbine aircraft. I was third out of the plane and I must say it just don't feel natural. I think I went into immediate sensory overload. I fully expected to scream or feel panicked, but honestly your mind just doesn't have the time to go there because it's taking in so much information at one time. The freefall lasted just under a minute, but really felt like a few seconds. I know this may sound hard to believe, but you really don't feel like you are falling. Aside from the earth rapidly getting closer and the winds against your face, it feels more like you are floating. Honestly, that pit of your stomach pain that comes from a scary roller coaster is 10 times stronger than falling from a plane... seriously. That being said, I almost passed out! Not from fear or thrill, but, as one instructor described it, from sensory overload. Once the rip cord is pulled and the parachute is deployed, your free fall ends and flight begins. My harness was already tighter than I would have liked and got even tighter when the chute yanked us from 120 miles per hour back to 40. The instructor then begins to do a series of twists, turns and dives that made this extremely large baby feel nauseous and sick. The harness felt like it cut off all circulation to my right leg and after a few moments hang time I could feel my body begin to react poorly. So I took deep breaths and prayed I did not pass out. I knew I was being filmed and the last thing I wanted was to hit the ground limp! read more

This place is AWESOME!!! I wish I could give it 6 stars it was so great! My boyfriend decided what better way to celebrate his birthday than by jumping out of a plane. So by golly, that's what we did! His birthday happened to be on Sunday so a group of four of us carpooled out to Cedartown, GA - right next to East Whiplash, AR and Middle of Nowhere, MS at 6 AM. Our jump time was supposed to be almost as soon as Skydive Georgia opened at 7 AM. Like good little troopers we arrived about 10 minutes after 7, and were the second group to turn in our waivers signing away our rights to sue the company or parachute makers should we not survive the dive. Awesome! After hanging out outside viewing the wide open field all the divers aim to land in for about an hour as more people arrived and signed in, we heard our names called and our tandem instructors named. My instructor was Mike and my videographer was Leslie. (I should note, in skydiving, "If it's not on camera, it didn't happen." And believe me, you'll want the photos and videos for afterwards - the dive goes by in a snap!). Mike was amazing!! If you can request an instructor to dive with - dive with him! He told me as he was strapping me into my harness that he'd taken his first dive 10 years ago for fun and a month later quit his job, divorced his wife, sold his house and became a full time skydive instructor. How sweet is that?!? What an amazing day job, huh?! Anyway, my group was in the first load, so we all boarded a tiny plane that held about 20 people total and climbed to 14,000 ft (2.7 miles) above the Earth. Then the door opened... and out went my boyfriend, his instructor and their videographer in the blink of an eye. Mike, Leslie and I were third out of the plane and I can say without question it was the most adrenaline pumping and FUN thing I've done EVER!! The entire time we were falling I was grinning, high-fiving Leslie (who flew close enough to us to get some wicked still photos), swimming and flapping in the air and having Mike above just egging me on. This went on for a couple of minutes at least, but when I think back now, it seems like it lasted only a snap second. Once we reached a certain altitude, he pulled the chute for the cord and Leslie dove on below us before releasing her own chute. From there we descended upright towards the open field I'd been watching earlier. But the fun wasn't over yet, Mike let me control the chute with the cords on either side and by pulling down one handle or the other, we swung this way or that or slowed down by pulling them simultaneously. So cool! And the view... oh the view was magnificient - just miles and miles of fields and trees and a few houses and roads as far as the eye could see. Once we got close to the ground, Mike told me to put my legs out straight in front of me so we could slide to a landing on our butts. Because of my lightness and similarity in him to height, however, we were actually able to land on our feet (unlike everyone else I'm proud to add!), walk right off the field after Leslie asked me how my first dive was and would I do it again? Hell yes I would! About an hour and a half after we landed, Skydive Georgia had cut, edited and set all of our videos to a soundtrack. We rolled out of there three proud new divers (well, one friend swore he'd never do it again - the look of sheer terror throughout his video brought tears to my eyes I was laughing so hard) before noon that day. I cannot wait to do that again, and I'm seriously considering taking their course now to earn my wings and be able to jump solo. Facing "quarter life crisis" at senior year of college, I decided to round up some crazy friends to go skydiving with me. After much research, we decided on Skydive The Farm at $169 per person for Tandem Skydiving (weekday prices; group discounts available). None of us have skydived before, so this was truly an experience of the lifetime. The whole booking process was pretty easy, and the staff at Skydive The Farm was quite helpful in answering any questions we had about the whole experience. My group of 5 friends arrived on Friday afternoon and went through all the instructions and safety waivers. After about an hour or so with the paperwork and setting up, we were finally ready to board the plane. Each of our instructor were very kind, funny, and reassuring. They joked here and there but made sure we felt comfortable and safe. I was so excited that I was the only one to make the choice to pay $119 to have still photos and videos on a flash drive. Yes it's a bit pricey, but to this day I think it was well worth it. When we finally got up to an altitude about 12,000-14,000ft (honestly can't recall because we were pretty nervous), we finally made the jump. The moment of standing near the hatch to jumping out was a mix of excitement, fear, and honestly can not describe in words the feeling. Freefalling around 120mph or so, I began to realize freefalling actually took longer than I imagined once I calmed down a bit to take in the surrounding (at least a minute of free fall). After the parachute deployed, I was up for around 5 - 10 minutes. The view was amazing, and the feeling was exhilarating. All of my group landed safely, and everyone had a better experience than they had ever imagined. We had a chance to laugh each other after reviewing individual tapes of the experience by each instructors. Skydive The Farm had all the right qualities in price, staff, and experience itself. This place would have definitely been a 5/5 for me had it not been the video processing guy after the skydiving. This guy had a pretty messed up leg from a skydiving accident and persisted in showing me the video of the accident despite my several remarks of not wanting to see it. Needles to say, the video was pretty gross. I could not understand why this guy was showing me the footage and potentially scare away a repeat customer. Overall, Skydive The Farms get a 4/5 only due to the minor unpleasant experience I had with the video processing guy at the end. read more

Horrible first experience. Could've enjoyed if I actually trusted the person I was paired with. They have no regard to how you feel, they expect just to trust them. While no training was really given. Literally put in a harness and then I'm in a plane. The instructor then told me again before falling out. All My friends that Skydived mentioned how strange it was to not have any training or education of the skydiving process. What if something happened to the instructor? What? Am I supposed to fall to my death without any education how to save myself? How to release the parachute or fly it? That is why I was so scared, then to have the video Grapher mock me. Rushing me up just so he can go home. Finally after all that, I waited for my deluxe package discs. Video and photos. I was told to test the video disc and it was fine. We had a large group jumping and were taken care of very well except for my instructor. Instead of making it a fun experience he was more like a drill Sargent barking out orders. He even told me that I better do exactly what he said because HE wanted a good jump. Last time I checked I was paying for the jump and was the customer so maybe I wanted a good jump too. I spoke with others that he jumped with and they said the same, he had the personality of a tree stump. I loved seeing everyone else have the best time of their lives but I'll have to go again somewhere else to really get the full experience. read more

The training provided lacks by a lot compared to other locations. Safety is non existent in this location. I recently jumped there and brought up to the instructor that my harness was loose. They said it was ok. Moving forward, I ended up hitting a pole due to poor instructions from the trainer on the ground, hitting a pole. This resulted in me going to the ER and almost losing my life. I would look elsewhere for better training and stay away from this location. read more

First timer here... and I can assure you, it won't be the last time! Oh my word....that was ahhhMAzing!!! I booked this trip as part of an inner healing journey I've been on. I had watched a video of a rehabilitated condor being released back into the wild and when I saw that condor discover it's potential to fly again and take off, something happened inside me and I knew that I wanted to be up there! My instructor, Aaron was incredible. He was very reassuring and encouraging... He explained everything thoroughly and then said "...and even if you forget something, you CAN'T mess this up. I've got you." On the ascent I turned around and tapped him on the leg and said, "Please do a good job." He talked me through everything from start to finish but also gave me space to take it all in. When we jumped, at first all I could feel was the icy cold in my face and the air stealing my breath, but I so very much just wanted to stay present and take in the experience and reminded myself of Aaron's instructions. During the free fall and with some encouragement I got to hold my arms out and actually felt like I was soaring like a bird... He let me guide the toggles a little during our descent and then graciously and thankfully took them back . THE BEST GIFT OF ALL was when I felt a tap on my shoulder and he told me to look up and to my right. There was a hawk soaring closeby! I couldn't hold back the tears at that point and through the rest of the experience. We obviously landed safely enough for me to share my experience. Smooth landing. And after taking a moment for myself to just realize what just happened, I had a quick debrief with my awesome videographer, David, and off I went to sit and soak it all in. This wasn't just about an adrenaline rush for me. Sure... That was part of it, but what I desired was so much more and God lovingly handed it to me today on a silver platter. I've learned a lot about myself for this experience and have seen a lot of mini lessons in it. Would I do it again? ABSOLUTELY! My best recommendations... 1.) Relax and stay present in the experience. 2.) Get the video and photos!!! Seeing it from an outside perspective helped me to relive it again and also see the process from a distance. 3.) I had the most amazing experience. I'm so ready to go again and I will definitely be back. Charlie was my instructor and he was awesome. He was relaxed and was very reassuring. I decided to totally go for it so we did a couple somersaults out of the plane. I highly recommend getting the pictures and video. I've really enjoyed watching it several times. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the long wait. Almost 4 hrs Skydiving really gave me a boost of energy and empowerment for several days. It awakens something inside you. My daughter and I just went skydiving at Skydive The Farm and it was amazing! You go through the legal forms and watch a video about the legal obligations, which makes sense since you are jumping out of plane! I had asked if there was an instructional video to watch and he said no, that they they don't want you watching a video and worrying that it's best to go over everything with the instructor in person. Thank goodness, because I was definitely worried. I had Shawn (aka Sugar Butt) as my tandem instructor and he was great!!! He went over what I had to do, answered my questions, and made me feel at ease (well as much as one could be at ease). I felt secure in what I was doing, who I was doing it with, and the facility. I purchased the skydive experience on Groupon with a good friend of mine. We scheduled for Nov. 3, 2018. Let me tell you, from the time I walked in to Skydive Georgia until the time I walked out, I was beyond grateful for such an amazing staff they had. My guide, Shaun Bath (aka Sugar Butt lol), was AMAZING!!! He made my experience worth everything and much more. Shaun had me tickled the whole time I was there. If I had any butterflies in my stomach before I jumped, Shaun made them go away. I was extremely relaxed and comfortable and all my nerves were gone! Lol. Shaun took really great care of me. He's such a great guy and HILARIOUS!! The view was everything I hoped it would be and Shaun let me control the Parachute while up in the air. I would definitely recommend anyone who hasn't jumped or may want to jump again to try Skydive Georgia! I will be back soon!! read more

You get what you pay for in life. And Skydive The Farm teaches that lesson loud and clear. Like many other college students, skydiving has always been on my list of activities to cross off. Like many other college students, money has never been plentiful either. Skydive the farm or Skydive Georgia is found on several deal aggregate websites like Groupon, always offering 40% discounted deals and major cut downs from their original price, which makes sense now that I think about it. Upon purchasing the tickets, we made reservations and received this very informative email detailing our jump, additional video packages, and directions to get there. It was actually pretty well formatted. When you arrive at the site, you enter this wide, messy room. At first glance, it was unsettling. Equipment was scattered everywhere, walls and floor needed repairing, and dogs were roaming around the place. An instructor was even sleeping, sprawled out on the floor. Other employees were just idling around waiting for the next group of customers to come, deal with, and leave. It was a mess. After awkwardly standing there for a minute, one of the staff led us to the waiver station. We were given a list of 30 agreements to sign, which seemed typical for any skydiving business, but still pretty unsettling. After the waivers, we had no more required training or safety briefing, other than an optional video which basically flaunts their involvement with the development of tandem technology. No instructional video, lesson, book, or manual. Nada. We were just told to wait and be harnessed by our instructors. This is where they fall through. I don't care if the instructors have done 1000+ jumps in their lifetime, without a parachute, hands tied, or whatever. This is my first time jumping out of a plane, same goes for most other customers. Of course I'm nervous and scared. It's natural, it's human nature. All first time tandem skydiving participants should be given adequate, standardized instructional material to answer commonly asked questions, address issues, and to inform the participant. The email covered a lot of information about the dive, nonetheless, but it doesn't replace safety and training time. From the moment you arrive at the location to the moment you boarded plane, your knowledge of safety and training depended SOLELY on the instructor you were assigned to (though you can request instructors in advance). This is a major flaw as I discussed above. Luckily, I got a very informative instructor. Meet Jimmy the Kid, this peppy, young bald man. While we were harnessing up, he guided me through the basics of tandem jumping, how to board the plane, shimmy to the door, exit properly, and not get in his way going down. Jimmy, however, was a slightly rude with me, and seemed like he wanted to get it over with immediately. My other friends got the short end of the stick. As I talked with them afterwards, most of them did not receive proper information prior to boarding the plane. This is unacceptable. If you make your reservation on a relatively free day, be prepared to skydive in less than 15 minutes upon your arrival. Immediately after being harnessed, we were guided to the plane. This seemed a little too short for me, but that's what happens when you have no instruction time. The airstrip was a short walk away from the main building. A propeller plane was already starting up the moment we got there and took off once everyone was aboard. The plane was fine: it was stable, safe, and did the job properly. It did seem a little worn down, but fine nonetheless. On the way up, according to some of my friends in the group, two instructors were joking about skydiving intoxicated and under the influence of drugs. This is absolutely unacceptable. I am speechless, abhorred that my friends had to deal with these thoughts on their way up for first skydiving jump. I do not care a single bit if these statements were lies or not. I care that my group and I have a fun, safe, life-changing experience with Skydive Georgia that day. Contrary to the other events today, the exit, free-fall, and parachute-deployment were seamless and enjoyable. I felt safe with my instructor, who went over exit procedures one more time before we exited the plane. The free fall was amazing, and after the parachute came out my instructor took his time for a few tricks and pointing out birds and landmarks. He then went over landing procedures (note: first time ever mentioned), which was smooth and effortless. The lack of adequate safety and training material prior to the jump is absolutely unacceptable. This is why there is a divide between positive and negative reviews on this page, because your knowledge of safety depends solely on your instructor. Choose wisely, or better yet, choose a different business until Skydive Georgia confronts their negligence firsthand. read more

10 years in the making! My husband has been trying to get me to go skydiving since we first met. He had done tandem previously. About 5 years ago, he went through AFF and got his license. He still couldn't talk me into it. I've always had terrible anxiety, claustrophobia, and panic attacks. This is NEVER something I thought I could or would want to do. I've spent that last year working on getting in shape, controlling my anxiety, and pushing my boundaries. Finally, my husband and my best friends and I decided to "make the leap" - see what I did there . Charlie was awesome. Right from the beginning he made me comfortable and relaxed. He explained what needed to be explained without overwhelming me with unnecessary information. He chatted with me on the ride up in the plane, answered any questions that I had, and was just overall awesome. The jump was nothing like that I thought it was. It was amazing, beautiful, and freeing. The free fall was exhilarating and exciting. As soon as the chute opens, it is such a calm and quiet feeling. Charlie let me be as involved as I wanted to be and let me set the pace for our second jump. I cannot say enough good things about Skydive Georgia / Skydive the Farm and Charlie! My group of 6 and I had an AMAZING experience Skydiving the Farm this past Saturday. Four of us had our first experience jumping, and the facility, staff and instructors were great. They answered all of our questions about the process, made us feel safe, and really got us pumped and excited! The jump itself was indescribable and it's something I think every person should experience (as soon as my feet hit the ground, I was ready to go back up). I've been wanting to skydive for a while so I decided that's what I would do for my 39th birthday! My friend jumped with Skydive Georgia a couple of weeks before I did and had a great experience. Our scheduled time was 9:00 but we ended up having to wait 8 hours because of bad weather before we got to jump. While frustrating I trust the instructors to know what's safe or not. I'm glad we waited because the sky was the bluest it had been all day. My instructor was Aaron and he was great! I was very nervous but he made me feel comfortable. The wait was definitely worth it and I would wait 8 hours again if I had to. Can't wait to jump again! read more
