The worst nail dip powder service ever even after going back a second time to correct the messy job.. Julie was recommended after the first sloppy job andnit turned out she was worst. In addition to the fact the place is dirty, the instruments they used was not sanitized, a real health hazard. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

I had been here some time ago, so I expected my experience to mirror the first one. Price? Absolutely great. No complaints there. Service? Very prompt and careful. My issue came when I was receiving a manicure. I know that the equipment should be sterilized prior to using it on customers. I was absolutely horrified when she wanted to use the same buff pad that had been used on someone else! I could see the marks! BIG no-no! That was the turn off for me. I have gone to Skyland a couple times because I live around the way. I really go for convenience but this last set that I did there was the last straw. I asked for a full set, purple chrome nails and a gel pedicure. I called before and asked if I can walk in. They said yes after asking what services I want. The pedicure was fine, but they started my full set nails while I was still in the pedicure chair. I realized he was rushing because they were closing soon and he apparently needed a ride home. He ended up asking me to come the next morning so he can finish my nails. I went home with just acrylics on. The next day he finished my chrome set and he was passable to me but within the day, it already chipped off. I hated the nails. They were thick, he barely filed them properly. They were different lengths, and the nail polish had bubbles in it. It just was the worse set of nails I've ever gotten in my life. I had to hide my nails for a few days before getting them re-done at a different salon. I will never set food here again. Previous reviews don't say it clear enough so I will: this place is not worth going to. The nail tech who fixed my nails told me that the person who did my nails is unskilled. He didn't even put the acrylic powder up to my cuticles so when i got my nails fixed, it looks liked I was needing a fill even though I fixed my nails on a Monday and the bad set was done on the previous Friday. read more

Express Pedicure, I come to this salon to get the same pedicure and I've always gotten the Express Pedicure and received both sugar scrub and callus remover with Gel Polish. However, I come in today and was told I had to pick one or the other and he changes the listed price to $52. When I tried to explain to him that I've always gotten both for the listed price he tried to go and forth. This is not my first time having an issue with his place. I will not be back. read more

Really cute salon, mostly nice folks, really reasonable pricing...but the quality was not great...at all. I got a basic pedicure with one of the foot massage / hot towel situations. While the hot towel treatment was really nice...the actual pedicure did not look great...at.all. We had to do about 2 redos because of the amount of polish put my toes that started to pool toward the base (so extra time) and even after I got home, still wasn't impressed. While this is near me, and reasonably priced, I probably will try someplace else for pedicures. read more

Beautiful and clean nail shop...but their work is crappy. I thought it was just the particular tech I had the first time, so tried a second time before deciding to not go back again. Today - my 15 year old went while I was at work...she wanted almond/rounded nails and continuously told the tech that. However, the tech told her it looked better square and proceeded to do square nails. The job also looks very rushed (to be fair she went at 6 and they were closing at 7, but still...) She also cut the nails shorter than my daughter asked for and she did't match up the length on both hands. Ultimately, my daughter gets home after spending $85 and is VERY unhappy with her "birthday nails" (she's turning 16 and celebrating this weekend). Other nail shops in area do not have facilities as nice as this place BUT I'd prefer nice nails over the nice paint/walls of the shop. My home has nice paint/walls... I tried to call but of course the phone number for them online is a non-working verizon phone number. Would love for someone to reach out to me and fix this at no cost! Pros: Clean, spacious and quick...but maybe too quick. Regular pedicure held up. Cons: Gel manicure started chipping on day 2. By day 5, several nails were chipped and the polish lifting at the nail bed on all nails. First time trying this place before I went out of town the following day. It didn't take long for the nails to start chipping on my gel manicure. I didn't clean, wash my hair, go near a pool or soak my hands. Disappointed my nails didn't last at least 2 weeks. read more

I love this salon and love that it's in my neighborhood! It's modern and very clean and spacious. Julie is my favorite nail tech. She is incredibly sweet and attentive and goes out of her way to make sure that her clients are satisfied. A couple of times I've had to go back to fix a smudge or uneven powder dip and she has apologized profusely and fixed the issue with no issue. And her pedicures are TO DIE FOR!!! My wife goes to Rose and loves her just as much. I've been to a lot of salons in SE and uptown. Skyland is my favorite! It's not cheap, but they do quality work. I always leave feeling pampered (which is the point, no? lol) read more

Got a basic manicure but I wouldn't come back. Manicure was super rushed and my clear polish wasnt removed even after telling her that. There wasn't any cuticle oil or lotion involved so my nails look rough. Waste of $20 read more

Visited this nice nail spa, service was great and offered small beverages. However, ladies please pay in cash! When it came down to pay the gentlemen act as if credit card machine was inoperable swiped my card , and then swiped again he charged my card twice!!!! Didn't provide a receipt from the first swipe , then gave a receipt for the second swipe ladies use cash and be sure to check your charges. It's highly recommended and disheartening this is occurring . read more

Nice and clean...for now since they just opened. Location is difficult to find using gps. I Iove that it's about 10 mins from my house, prices are reasonable and Julie gives great pedicures! They offer complementary water and soda too. The tech (Vicky was her name I think) that did my nails was nice but her quality of work was inconsistent. Majority of my nails are not the same shape and I had already been there a few hours so I didn't bother even going through the hassle of having someone fix them b/c I had other plans for the remainder of my day. Very busy on weekends and only about 4 nail techs working so plan accordingly. Today I came in for a soak off and wanted to get a new full set and pedicure. I was greeted and ask to sit at the manicure station the guy who was working the front desk proceeds to use a nail tip to remove my previous nails I didn't mind even though I did ask for a soak off. I had this technique done before (not at this location) but as he is using the tip nail to remove my previous set he cuts me with the nail tip and continue with blood trickling down my finger, he then proceeds to move on to the next nail with the bloody tip I was disgusted and in pain. He already had filled and jagged cut my previous nails so I asked if he can just soak the rest off. He then catches an attitude and comes back with the bowl of acetone for me to soak my nails. I'm still sitting at his table soaking my nails while the other employees discuss my situation in their language, he then moves me over to his coworker who took over taking off my previous set. I explain to the new nail tech I don't want to continue with my new set since I have damaged nails and don't want to drill over my damaged nails or add any products that can further harm me. Every employee tried to convince me to get a new set and was not understanding they compensated me with 5$ off the price of a soak off which is 15$ by the way so i only paid 10$ but still was not satisfied and I currently have to walk around with damaged unkept nails. read more
