I get pedis on a regular but never had a dedicated place until now. This family owned salon is located inside the "Shops At Century Building" a few doors down from Bowlero in Arlington, VA. It was hard to find at first but luckily I called and lady instructed me perfectly on how to find them. For this reason, I had to take a photo to make it easier for future customers that never been here. SN: it's literally next to an apartment building called Quimby. It's not super fancy nor big, it's in a small suite that's semi outdated but to be honest the workers are amazing and worth a try. The customer service and prices are unbelievable!!! I got a Gel pedicure and the guy did an outstanding job. They didn't use the metal scraper (which is so bad for you) and my feet came out just as soft. I wasn't rush and they accommodated to my needs. I paid $43 which is a steal, these days for What I normally get would've been almost doubled the amount. I'm so happy I found this place, it's def worth the drive. Oh yeah, there's street parking but it depends on the day because it's a hit or miss and you definitely need to pay to park (Park Mobile App comes in handy). I wish I took pics of the inside but I was pressing for time since they were closing the next hour. Definitely check this spot out with an open heart. read more

Went to this location & was told to wait about 30 minutes due to the 2 seats being full. I was told by the lady that I would be right after her current client. After 30 minutes, she was done but she said she will be taking the person that came in after me. So I went to the male there. I asked simply for the removal of my acrylics, same service as the girl she took instead of me. The man took my acrylics off with soaking my nails in acetone and using the electric file. It was back and forth with those 2 methods until it got to my real nail. My nails were red in the end and not all of the acrylic was off. I noticed the girl that went in front of me they soaked her nails using a cotton ball and foil. They just gave me a bowl of cold acetone. I told the man multiple times of certain things that hurt, and anytime it was time to soak my nails, he would turn his chair around lol no conversation was had for me. The service was overall not good. It actually hurts to wash my hands 3 days later and my nails are still red. Not sure why I got treated this way, I'm pretty quiet but I knew for sure I would be writing a review. I asked for a pedicure and he refused to buff my feet after I had asked him to do so 4 times and he said that he would. Well, this wasn't the best salon I've been to, but it got the job done. I had a wedding coming up (of course during the holiday season) so it was kinda hard coordinating my busy work schedule and getting a basic pedicure appointment. This place was pretty hard to find with Google Maps as it's inside a building and no outdoor signs. The pros are that they were able to *squeeze* me in and by that I felt like my session was a bit rushed. They also are very affordable for a pedicure in the area, and like most other nail salons, they had massage chairs which I really really needed at the time. I questioned the cleanliness since all the guy did to *clean up* after my appointment for the next client was sponge down the pedicure basin. I don't recall if he wiped down the chair. Maybe it's just the germaphobe in my but if I were the following client, I'd expect cleanliness at a higher standard given we're still in a pandemic. Thought I'm grateful that I got my pedicure in, I'm not sure if I will return here. This place is quaint and low frills, but they did a good job and got the job done. And, the price is right! I called last minute on a Friday for a very impromptu pedicure and gel manicure. They accommodated me with a smile. They tended to my needs, and made sure that my nails looked good. I would've liked a little more buffing on my feet, but overall it was a great experience. I went on a Saturday and the doors were locked so you have to call the number on the sign in front of the building to have someone let you in. An elderly couple tagged teamed my mani/pedi request. They had owned the business for 30 years in the same area. I was the only person in the salon and it was quiet, but I found the couple to be nice and efficient. It really is a no frills place, but for a very reasonable price with the same quality you'd get from a higher end salon, I'd rather my money go to support a mom and pop business than the outrageous fees higher end places charge. Public parking is free on the weekend and Saturday pricing is a little cheaper, so it was worth the trip here. read more

My usual is gel manicure and regular pedicure. Janey and her sister are great at both, and are extremely professional. It is the MOST affordable you'll find in this area for the impeccable work done. They are definitely a hidden gem, located in the Crystal City Shops between Buffalo Wild Wings and the Buchanan Apartments. Parking in the area is street parking or free 1 hour garage parking in the surrounding areas, so never a problem to find a good spot. I would highly recommend making an appointment. I got my nails done for the first time ever (a simple manicure with polish) here today as a birthday week present. It's a tiny unit that anyone who works in 2450 Crystal Dr should know and it's reall a no-frills place. I booked an appointment 2 days prior to ensure I'd be able to get a spot since they have a small number of nail techs (when I went, they had 3 at 4:30). During the middle of the day when I booked, they only had 1. The price is soooo reasonable and makes it worth it coming here. One of the other clients was requesting a pretty intricate Christmas set (Rudolphs and polka dots) and one nail tech was delivering just fine. I do wish mine had paid a bit more attention to my cuticles - he didn't do them as cleanly as I would have liked, but the polish is done better than I ever could. I usually just get gel on natural nails, but today I had a full set of acrylics with gel, and they are fabulous! I was so tempted to just leave them plain acrylic, as they were so beautifully done, they looked natural!! They also do dip powder. I have also had eyelash extensions done back in May 2019, and loved them as well. It was my first experience with eyelash extensions and it was very positive! This is the cheapest mani/pedi I've found in DC, and you get what you pay for. It's $30 for a mani/pedi on Saturdays and $32 Mon-Fri (most nail salons offer specials during the weeks to get people in, but I imagine they have trouble getting people in on Saturdays because of its semi-hidden location.) There are two pedicure chairs, and three manicure desks. It's very very much no frills, which is absolutely how they keep their costs down. The guy who did my nails was very fast and efficient. I think I was in and out in a little over an hour (it was kind of awkward because I wasn't sure how long I was supposed to sit under the nail dryer because it was a box he put on my lap without a timer). We'll see how long the polish lasts without chipping. I'll probably try another place in the future. I only went here because I had a wedding the same day and really needed to get in somewhere. read more

When I first walked in I was very skeptical but due to snow decided to pick a spot based on convenience. A gel mani and pedi was $45 which is a lot cheaper then other places I've been to nearby. As another Yelper mentioned the place is zero frills but the final product is great quality. They have a lot of gel nail colors to choose from and they message your hands and feet. The two people that were there when I arrived were very kind and accommodating. At first the lady that did my manicure wasn't focusing much on cuticles but after I asked her to clip them more I was very happy with how my nails turned out. I don't really go to nail salons expecting fancy spa experiences... I got to a spa for that lol. So this place's ambience was just fine. It was simple and clean. I needed a fill on my acrylic and gel polish. I arrived at 11:57 and was out by 12:45. I am very satisfied with my nails. They look good!
