I like Skyline in general, just not the chili. I think Skyline is one of those places that you either love it or leave it. Personally, not a fan of the chili, the bit of cinnamon in there is not to my liking, I know to those who love it, this is controversial, sorry, just my opinion. They are famous for the chili of course and the heaping piles of cheddar they put on everything. You can order chili on spaghetti, 3 way, 4 way or 5way or pretty much how you like them. Coney's, salads, fries, deserts and more. I do like the coney's though without the chili. Add mustard, onions and cheddar, very tasty. If you're hungry order 4, they are small. Their Greek salad is really good as well, lots of feta and toppings, the dressing ties it together. They also have cheesecake, that is suppose to be from the Cheesecake Factory, either way it is really good. The employees are super nice here, you sit down to order, she made sure we had everything we needed and took care of us well. We had a large party, 13 of us, so she did a great job. It is a place you must try, see if you land on loving the chili or leaving it, but either way, they have good comfort food and nice employees, so you will find something you like there. A little skimpy with the chili on the coneys. We showed up right after opening and there was dried cheese on menu... so better job cleaning at night. Otherwise, friendly and fast service. read more

I've been wanting to try skyline chili ever since my friend brought this delicious dish (from a can) to our potluck. Now that I had a chance to visit family in Ohio, I knew I had to try the real thing. For my visit I ordered the 4 way with onions and habanero cheese. I'm pretty sure they forgot my onions because I did not see any onions in sight. At least they remembered the cheese. Regardless, the 4 way was loaded with spaghetti noodles, chili, and piled high with habanero cheese. I'm pretty my cholesterol went way up, but it was so good and worth it. I loved the extra kick from the habanero cheese. My boyfriend had two coneys, and it was good but I wasn't a fan of their hot dog. Overall, I'm glad I tried it. I'm excited to try Gold Star chili next time I'm in town to compare. read more

I eat at this skyline all the time and normally it is great but the night shift crew working April 17th absolutely dropped the ball. I went through the drive through and ordered a bunch of food asked for extra crackers and hot sauce before I was handed the bag the girl said "oh I put extra in there for you already" I pulled out and checked the bag 3 packs of crackers when I'm feeding 4 people doesn't work and definitely not extra. So I pulled back through and got more crackers and headed home which is right around the corner. I got home and tried to eat my 2 coneys first one I picked up and bit into the hotdog was barely lukewarm and the bun so hard I could've knocked on my door with it. Called and told them I was coming back to get them replaced tried a bite of the other one while on the way and it was fine but I went ahead and got them both remade and I'll be damned I should've kept the good one because the ones they replaced them with same thing one bun was hard I was already home and it wasn't worth me turning around and going back to the store a third time. Oh and one of the chilitos I got was also not up to standard and had to have it remade they did good the second time on that. read more

It's good. I've had it twice in one week. Had 5 coneys and downsized to a small 5 way. I love am the add ins they give to make your food taste just as you desire. I do wish there were coneys with beef dogs instead of the pork/chicken or whatever is used. Chicago and NY have better chilli dogs - but for cheap ingredients used, this will do. The shredded cheese is delicious and I had some left over enough to sprinkle on the salad I needed to eat afterwards to feel like a healthier human. Greasy. Good. Comfort food. read more

We ate in this establishment this evening and I must say we were very disappointed. The food was good and the service was fair. My daughter pointed out the baby was sitting on the table wearing a diaper and a onsite. Evidently the babies grandmother worked there and the Mother brought the baby in to visit. The baby looked to be around 6 months of age. At one point the mother and baby went outside, came back inside and the mother then sat the baby on the counter where people sat to eat. One employee ran a small sweeper around our table talking on her phone the entire time. I don't think we will be going here again. read more

A great small town family restaurant specializing in Cincinnati style chili. The service is always prompt and with a smile. Parking is never an issue and the location is convenient for those who would rather avoid Hamilton or Middletown. read more

Seems like somebody convinced them to change the music. I've been back several times since, and it's been a much better experience.

The food is usually good. But the staff isn't really that personable. They talk about how people always quit on them or they can't keep people. I know a few girls who got hired on by the head server and she complained about doing the interview asking "why can't David do an interview I have tables" which didn't make anyone want to work there after that. Many girls told her they have kids and need time to get there kids back & forth to providers and she said it would be fine. They consider it late when the employees are not 30 minutes early, which as long as their 10-15 minutes before their shift and ready to work it should be fine. After a long term employee called off one time they told her to turn her stuff in after her first time of calling off. A bit ridiculous to me. They all are a close knit type of work environment who only treat their regulars right. They assume people will quit walking in the door which doesn't make the employees feel confident when there's bets going on stating who will stay longer and who won't. It's not right some girls have to get there kids back and forth to daycare but the management can bring in their kids, grandkids, serve their kids free food all day, make special food for them and do what they please while the employees are considered less and their children don't matter. They can't bring their kids & grandkids in to watch them so it makes it harder at times but it's not right when management can do it?? read more

This place has been going down hill for awhile now. The past 3 times I have come to this location I have either received bad customer service or they messed up my food. The manger seems to take it personal when you tell him your food is wrong and then begrudgingly fixes it. And if I hear "for future reference order your food like this..." I am going to snap.
