That was not necessary, as I asked a State police man if that was an issue and he said no, because Pa does not have front license plate. So, I just put it back on. They had some staffing issues due to COVID-19, which screwed things up a bit because I had to take off of work twice for an inspection. That ticked me off a bit. The shop owner said he tried calling me, but I had no missed calls, so....? Oh well, they're right around the corner and convenient. Plus, you can go to Gilligan's for beer & food while your car is being worked on.

This is significant at a time (2021-2025) when independent repair shops are struggling to find mechanics. Dyers is a one-mechanic business, with another person helping with phones, billing, etc., in the office. So I would recommend getting an appointment in advance, unless you're broken down. Also, if you pay with plastic there's an extra charge to cover the cost of the credit card transaction. Cash or check have no extra charge. The environment at this shop is calm and businesslike, as it should be. And they don't try to clip you for anything you don't need.

The owner always recognizes me, asks me how I've been, and it feels good knowing I'm more than just a number.
