Such a great experience! Manny and Kaleb were very welcoming and took the time to get to know each of us on the tour. Lots of laughs and great directions and encouragement at each zip line. It was obvious that they Loved what they do. Highly recommend! The van ride was a bit rough but added to the adventure.

Driver/guide William was awesome. Very informative and great sense of humor. Bill put us in great position for the sunrise over the crater. He set up several cameras for time lapse videos that we all airdropped. The breakfast was superb and its location was very cool.

I love Skyline. The staff is so knowledgeable and professional about safety. I've visited Skyline zipline multiple times and will always support them when I can. They provide excellent service and their moto "do good, have fun" has been engraved in my mind. Their conservation efforts are inspiring. They care about the aina and respect it.

    Zipline Fun!

Amazing experience with Zack and Caleb at Zipline Hawaii! Zack and Caleb were absolutely wonderful, funny, upbeat, and full of great energy that made the whole adventure so much fun. At the same time, they were very professional, making sure everyone felt completely safe and comfortable throughout the experience. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. It was the perfect mix of laughter, excitement, and safety. Highly recommend this zipline tour and especially these two guides!

Ray and Lindy are amazing tour guides ! We had so much fun with them. I'm terrified of heights and they really helped calm the nerves . The zip lines are thrilling and so safe. The guides were truly passionate about what they do in their conservation efforts . Not only do they run the zipline tours but when they aren't doing that , they are out on the grounds maintaining and beautifying the area. The tour was informative and we all laughed a lot! I highly recommend this tour to visitors and locals alike ! Skyline is AWESOME!!

Trevor was fantastic- it was an early morning but so worth it! So glad they offered coats, we were not prepared for the cold weather at that elevation. Highly recommend! We also loved the quick breakfast at the Plantation House.

When: Sat. May 28th, Party of 2 Adults. Driver/Guide: Bill Tour: Classic Haleakala Sunrise Tour As a former Kamaaina or Hawaii resident, my wife and I have visited Haleakala many times. We decided on taking this tour because we did not want to drive up and down Haleakala. It was a great choice that we made. Bill explained and taught us facts that as 50+ years Hawaii Residents we weren't aware of. Bill was humorous and had a genuine heart for the land and ecology. When he took us to the top, he brought us to a spot that shielded us from the winds while we waited 45 minutes for the Sunrise...Absolutely wonderful... Without hesitation, my wife and I highly recommend this Sunrise tour from Skyline. Great for 1st time visitors or Kamaaina's...

We booked a tour for a family of four. Our guides were Ray and Vince and they were awesome. Very good with the knowledge or our trees and birds educating people who hasn't grown up here fortunately I have and so good to hear that this is being done! Thanks guys!

Our guides were the best. They knew what they were doing the entire time and really made this zipline so enjoyable. If you are ever in Maui don't miss booking this fun afternoon (or morning) activity. I thought the price was worth it, in fact it was a great value. You want to make sure Val is one of your guides, and Alec too. They will take good care of you Kevin --. Review written July 2 2024

Hands down AMAZING! My husband and I stayed in Napili and we knew we wanted to see the sunrise, but that drive. So we decided to go with this tour and it was worth every penny. Keith was our driver/guide and he knows this road like the back of his hand. He got us there with two hours until sunrise and we got killer spots. When the sun rose, we got our amazing pictures and videos. Got back on the bus, headed down the volcano, to get breakfast which was included in the price at Kula Lodge. Great options and quick service. Got back on the bus and headed back to the hotel. 1am wake up call. 2am pick up. 2 hr drive. 6:17 sunrise. Back at the hotel by 10:30. Totally worth it!

I took my parents for their 44th Anniversary and we all love outdoorsy activities so I knew we'd all enjoy this! We were asked to arrive at 10:30 am for the tour and it lasted until 1-1:30 pm. Arrive with good walking shoes, SPF, light sweater and hat (it can get either a little chilly or hot from the direct sunlight), and well hydrated if possible. We were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tourguide, Kate from Maryland! She shared with us so many facts about the locally grown produce from herbs, vegetables, fruits, to the friendly worms, to compost and facts about the Farm and the hardworking staff! It was interactive because we got to sniff the herbs, taste the locally grown lettuce, carry a chicken (as seen in the photo with my mom), and even pick the Cherry coffee! After the 2 hour tour, the last hour takes you back to this beautiful seating area in a garden like setting for your 4 course lunch! Each course, the chef comes out and shares details of each course. First course was a Medley of Greens grown on the farm with Tangerine vinaigrette. It was a generous portion for our party of 3 and tried to eat it throughout. There was spiraled carrots and radish with julienned snap peas. Second course was Pan Seared Ono (their proteins are all locally sourced) with Mamaki Tea and Lemongrass Rice with Bok Choy, Collared Greens and Cabbage. Third course was my favorite! I'm usually a big fan of fish but the chicken was so savory and that rub was delish! It was an Organic, Cage Free Chicken with Coffee Cherry Citrus rub with Caramelized Coffee Honey Hash of Carrots, Parsnips, Rutabaga and Celery Root. The spread was a Turmeric and Parsnip puree. Last course of dessert was the O'o Freshly Brewed Coffee with Milk and Simple Syrup with a Dessert Platter of Fresh sliced Pineapple, Tangerine and Apple with Homemade Chocolate Truffles. The meal left us full and nourished! What a wonderful anniversary gift to give my parents. We truly enjoyed it and even made some new friends, both local and visiting.

My son enjoyed the mahi mahi tremendously, which for a kiddo who only eats chicken normally, is a huge compliment! I thought the tour was very informative and interactive as well. Our guide Molly let us pick, smell, and explore a lot of the plants they have growing on the grounds. She also very nicely picked a tangerine for my son because he really wanted one. Overall, worthwhile experience, despite the long drive from Lahaina. I would do this again, whether it is the brunch + coffee tour or the lunch tour!

We also bought a $10 bucket of hay to feed the goats off to the side. We were told they were under a year old, though they were already pretty much adult-sized! They were extremely enthusiastic about the hay, and the bucket was gone in no time. It was such a fun and wholesome experience, for both me and the goats. From start to finish, everything was well organized and comfortable. We traveled in a tall Mercedes Sprinter van, which made the drive much more enjoyable with less motion sickness than expected. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of room to store personal items. Janet provided warm jackets and pants, which were greatly appreciated since temperatures at the summit can drop into the 60s and feel much cooler with the wind. She really thought of everything. We toured the summit area of Haleakalā, enjoyed snacks and dinner while watching a spectacular sunset, and then transitioned into an incredible night of stargazing. The telescope views were stunning--far more detailed than I expected. We were able to see so much, and the images through the telescope were truly unforgettable. Janet is exceptionally knowledgeable and did a fantastic job explaining astronomy, the night sky, and Hawaiian history and culture. She used a laser pointer to guide us through the constellations, making it easy to follow along and understand what we were seeing. No question seemed too small, and her enthusiasm was contagious. Most importantly, the entire experience was fun, respectful, relaxed, and full of good vibes. Janet clearly loves what she does, and it shows. If you're considering a Haleakalā stargazing tour, I highly recommend booking with Janet. It was an incredible experience that we'll remember for years to come. She provides you with a PowerPoint presentation at the end and pictures highlighting the stars! Above and beyond! You can't see the objects you will see without her high powered telescope! It was spectacular !!

I also want to apologize for revising this review twice; my first attempt was rushed and full of misspellings, and the second was a quick fix of those errors. However, after being home and having the time to relax and reflect, I realized there were details gnawing at my soul that I needed to share. While I could have justified the $250 price tag if the experience had met my expectations of what was included, I simply cannot justify it for the experience we actually had. I am left with a soured, bitter aftertaste in my heart for an experience that I wanted with my family. It is hard for me to give a five-star rating just because someone "tried"; I believe a top-tier rating must be earned through the experience one had, and Jan lacked in presentation, friendliness, and overall value. For our party of four, we paid $1,000, and in hindsight, we could have had a significantly better experience by using our own rental car and buying a high-quality telescope for half the cost. Don't get me wrong, the views were amazing, but Jan expected the National Park (which she did not create) to carry the entire value of the tour. There was no historical context shared about the land; she simply relied on the scenery to do the work. The lack of consideration for her guests was most apparent in how she rushed us. Both of my parents have medical limitations--my mother is a brain surgery survivor and my stepfather was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's. Both were medically cleared by their doctors for this visit, so while their conditions were not life-threatening, they naturally move at a slower pace, or what some would refer to as "Hawaii time." At the stop at the top of the mountain, Jan initially told us we would have an hour to look around, then suddenly changed it to 15 minutes. This was incredibly insensitive; 15 minutes is a rush for someone physically fit, let alone for people managing mobility issues. The actual stargazing was equally frustrating and felt hypocritical. Jan would complain if someone accidentally turned on a phone screen, claiming it affected her dilated pupils, yet she had no problem using a high-powered laser pointer against rocks instead of the sky, refracting the light directly into our eyes. Furthermore, none of us got long at the telescope because she insisted on refocusing it after every two people, all while a personal friend of hers joined for free and took up our paid telescope time. To put the lack of value in perspective, we recently paid $165 for a snorkeling tour on a catamaran that included a crew of five, two full meals, and equipment. Here, we had to bring our own snacks and water, and Jan even requested to use our personal National Park passes to get the group through the gate. Between the conspiracy theories playing loudly on the radio, her robotic and demanding attitude, and the underwhelming equipment, we felt massively overcharged. You can find better value elsewhere or by driving yourself at your own pace.
