As a solo traveler and U.S. Army veteran, my first ziplining experience was an absolute blast. Off the beaten path so you get to take on the local countryside...very nice drive. We ended up with a private tour. Our guides were great. Continuous belay system was unique and cool. Pretty much on belay the entire time. Easy walk/climb to elements. Suspension bridge was good. Most of the lines were off towers in the meadow so not real high. Not overly fast and a good system to brake you at the end of each run. Guides gave suggestions to make the lines fun. Good go. read more

From the moment were greeted by Auntie to getting set up with our guides we all felt comfortable. I traveled with my husband and two children. We all had a blast being daring with our jumps off the platforms. There is a gorgeous view of the ocean from some of the lines. The bridge and ladder added to the thrill and the guides were willing to help if needed. My family of four (2 boys ages 10 and 12) had a great time at NorthShore Zipline last week during our Maui vacation. The course/property/grounds were great but what really made this adventure special were our guides Sweet T and Mike Mike. They were informative, funny, and super personable. We stayed over on the West Shore - the drive took about an hour and was not bad at all. There are a few good spots to check out nearby so you can make a day of it. This was my second or third time zip lining so I was prepared for the experience. I like the history behind the area, which is that it used to be a WWII marines base. The entire crew were super super friendly and made sure to keep everyone engaged, even while sitting and waiting for our turns to go. The ziplining itself was just so so though honestly. It's perhaps due to the fact that I've been a little spoiled from my past experiences, which involved being hundreds of feet above the ground. It was not bad or anything, and I of course still had fun, the zip lines just weren't very high or particularly long. One thing I really liked though is that from start to finish, everyone is actually hooked up to a safety line making it impossible to fall off any of the platforms. read more

We've never zip lined before and so glad we got to do this as a family! My son is 7 years old and he was able to participate! The instructors, Dallas and Pace (I think that's what their names were) were amazing! They helped everyone along with our C-cord clip thing. They explained everything thoroughly and kept us safe! Here we are living on Maui and have never experienced this type of activity before. My hubby, myself and daughter had the best time and the staff was helpful and super friendly...I was scared for the first 3 rides and then I was kicking back. The only thing I would change is...I would wear longer shorts or leggings, jeans only because of the harness that wraps around your thighs was making my shorts creep up. The helmets we wore had a holder for your GoPro but not sure if all of them do. There are no restrooms along the 7 rides, so I recommend peeing right before you get harnessed up. Pictures are taken during your last run and then you can take a family/group picture once your whole group is done. We purchased the whole album (link sent by text/email) because it was a better deal rather than getting individual photos. I would definitely recommend NorthShore Zipline to our friends and family. read more

We had a wonderful experience at NorthShore Zipline! Our family has ziplined several times before, including in Costa Rica, so we had experience and have done some Ziplines several hundred feet off the ground. That being said, these ziplines aren't particularly long or high off the ground. But the guides made the entire experience so exceptional that our family didn't mind at all. We had a smaller, fun group and kudos to Corey and Ocean for being so entertaining and attentive. They made our time so fun!!! We also appreciated that the ziplines are hands-free, the guides take care of placing your carabiner and brake you themselves. We've had to hold onto the line/carabiner at other courses and it's much more stressful and prevents you from relaxing and doing cool tricks. Would highly recommend for families looking for an stress-free, entertaining Zipline experience. read more

Our family loved this experience and felt like this was a great choice for our family . Our 9 and 6 year old son had a blast with their dad while my youngest (3 year old) and I followed along a few of the zip lines and then enjoyed the beautiful property. I'm also glad it brought us out to this part of the island to explore otherwise we would have missed out. We were Bullied by the guides at North Shore Ziplines! The guide repeatedly joked by making double-sided sarcastic remarks on the clients and dismissive attitude. This behavior was completely non-ethical. A total lack of empathy for the path a client may come from, caused me and my daughter to just quit the zipline due to unacceptable situation. They did not want to reimburse. North Shore Zipline indicate they only reimburse if the client quits the zipline by the 2nd station. We quit after the 4th station. Horrible. The guides were two kids goofing around being sarcastic/mean to the clients. My daughter ended crying long after we left. A waste of money, time and self-esteem for a vacation. read more

I need to preface this by stating I did not take a zipline tour here. I did book a tour through Viator which seemed to have a glitch when I purchased tickets and it stated that the purchase did not go through. So, I booked with another website at a different zipline company. As it turns out the purchase through Viator did go through and I was charged for the tickets. I spoke with my bank to have the purchase canceled and at first I was refunded the money but a month later after an investigation they took the money back and I got screwed. All this to say that I just spoke with the Manager at Northshore and she was happy to refund the money. I wish I had just called them to begin with. Unfortunately, it is out of their hands due to booking through a 3rd party. But I was so impressed by the excellent customer service that I just had to leave a positive review. This is by far for the nervous and the bit shy of flights, or for the first time. My family of four booked the same day and at 9am, which was perfect. A small group, mix crowd and all easy going. We were greeted by friendly staff, buckled in, and given super light hearted funny instructions. We started off at a super short zip line, and then half way through were at the 65 foot line, which on a windy day was alright. Overall the experience was fun, I felt even through I hate flights, I would have enjoyed one at a higher peek. But, for the humor of our guide, was worth it. Bit of advice, bring a camera or a gopro. You will be wearing gloves, and your smartphone camera will not work. They do take photos at some awesome points, $20 -$72 for a single or complete package.
