Big shoutout to our driver/tour guide Keith for making this car ride extremely interesting. We went on the sunrise+zip line tour, which means we have to start our trip at 2:30AM. My group was super tired, but Keith told us about the history of the towns around Haleakala and recommended some restaurants that we would love to try the next time we are in Maui. He also told us the endangered species of Haleakala and we learned so much about the volcano. Although the day we went was super cloudy and foggy and we couldn't get the full sunrise experience, we still felt it was worthwhile to go. As for the zip line portion, Zach and Randell are super cool and they are very passionate about their job and are both very humorous. These people took our safety seriously while making sure we have fun! Would definitely come back and do this again (hopefully they start a sunset tour cuz although this was fun, I don't know if I can bring myself to do a 2:30AM-12PM trip like this again) read more

For context, I have been zip lining many times and sadly, this course was probably my least favorite. There are 5 zip lines of which the first 3 zip lines are not super exciting. Don't get me wrong, this is a perfect place for first time zip liners and for kids (my 10 year old loved it and this was her third time zip lining) and as parents know, if our kids have fun, we do. Overall, still a fun family activity. Our tour guides - Ray and Analeigh - were amazing! They were engaging and ensured a safe journey on the zip lines. I would give them 5 stars snd the actual zip line course 3 stars. Another side note: no bathrooms on site (just portable toilets), so plan accordingly. read more

This was a great Zipline! I felt very relaxed as I got checked in by the Marvelous Miss Ronni. We then took off with Dylan and Manny who were great hosts for the tour. WooooooHooooooo!!!!! That's what you say when you zip down the line the first time! I have heard about zip lines from friends and family in the past several years and thought I'd try it on this Maui trip. You meet at the Skyline Eco-Adventures office a half hour before to sign your life away, then they load you in a van (back to front) to get your gear, then load you into the super duty van (back to front again) to reach the first zip line. The roads are BuMpYyyyyy so be prepared to bounce around and you gotta keep your helmet on. We would have rather gone on an earlier tour, but since Hurricane Felicia was approaching, we didn't know if we could go on our original date, so we booked a date a few days earlier at 12noon was the only available time. It worked out for the best because we had a great time. Our guides were BJ and Chad who not only took care of us, but made sure we were safe and had lots of fun. They joked around and made all sorts of funny and corny jokes. There's a bit of nervousness BEFORE the first zip line, but BJ and Chad took care of that right away, then EVERYONE had a great time. After 4 ziplines, we had a chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes lunch with chips and a brownie. There's only water to drink. While we ate, we watched some mongooses running around. They were cute. After lunch, there was more excitement and entertainment. We finished the remaining 4 zip lines and it culminated with the 1000' zip line, which is pretty sweet. You load up into the super van (back to front to be courteous) and go bumping down the mountain to the gear station. Unload, tip your guides, then head back to the Skyline office and buy some souvenirs if you wish. Overall, an excellent trip, but a bit pricey ($140 a person) for the 8 zip line Ka'anapali trip. However, you're on vacation, so live a little. But, I give 4.5 stars overall, not 5 and mainly due to price. Mahalo! read more

The views are breathtaking and the zip lines were very safe. My son is 10 and 83 pounds, so just made the size limit and he loved it!
