Haven't been here in many years and I quickly realize the why. The hostess was horrible had a bad attitude. The server was a much nicer but by that time I was already irritated with the terrible attitude of the hostess.

The food here is consistently good. The pancakes are excellent. The skillets are so flavorful and come with a side of toast or pancakes. You get your money's worth! The takeout orders are ready when promised and the food is hot! The hostess is always pleasant and acknowledges you the moment you walk in. This is my go to place for a good breakfast.

    Plain Crepes

Honest review right now, If you order a plain crepes make you sure you say "dont include the strawberry syrup" Cause my crepe right now is way too soggy and way too much syrup. Maybe thats just me but Im not finishing this shi.

Beautiful, fresh fruit side..served with my omlette..

I am in love with their breakfast burritos. They are good cold and hot. I also love their soup.

Not worth it. Very high price for poor quality. The whole place needs renovation. Do not recommend.

It's no exaggeration when I say that my dining experience at Maple Tree Inn was one of the best…read morerestaurant experiences I've ever had! My niece and I couldn't believe this was our first visit, especially after hearing so many great things. This place is incredibly popular, so I definitely recommend making reservations. After checking in, we waited less than five minutes and struck up a fun conversation with two lovely ladies who were also first-timers. It was the perfect start to the evening. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting, with Mardi Gras beads and colorful carnival masks throughout the restaurant that give it so much character. Our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations made choosing from so many tempting options much easier. Now let's talk about the food... EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! To kick things off, I ordered the Creole Voodoo Zombie, and my niece had the Hurricane. Both cocktails were fantastic and set the tone for an amazing meal. My niece is an excellent cook herself and has dietary restrictions, so dining out can often be disappointing. That's what made this experience even more special--she genuinely loved every bite. We started with the crab cake appetizer and the BBQ shrimp appetizer, and both were packed with incredible flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened ribeye, swapping the broccolini for the collard greens (worth the $3 upcharge!). The steak was perfectly cooked, and those collard greens were phenomenal. My niece chose the blackened red snapper étouffée, and she couldn't stop raving about it. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't leave without dessert. We shared the Mississippi Mud Turtle Brownie topped with marshmallow fluff and the strawberry shortcake. Our server suggested pairing the brownie with a butterscotch liqueur, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation--it was the perfect finishing touch and complemented the dessert beautifully. We've been talking about this meal ever since we left...and that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. In fact, we were so impressed that we made reservations for next weekend before we even left--and we're bringing two friends with us! Perfect for: Date nights, celebrations, or anytime you want a memorable meal that's worth planning ahead for. Maple Tree Inn absolutely lived up to the hype. 10/10--highly recommend!

My last visit was when they were still on Old Western Ave in Blue Island--way overdue for a return. Let's start with the food--absolutely delicious. The three of us kicked things off with the Cast Iron Cornbread, and trust me, don't skip it. Perfectly done and a great start to the meal. For mains, we went with the Pitmaster's N'awlins Gumbo, Hickory Buttered BBQ Shrimp, and Burnt Ends. Every dish was spot on--flavorful, well-executed, and clearly made with care. The restaurant itself is pristine--clean, polished, and classy without feeling stuffy. Service was just as strong. Our server, Nick, was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Safe to say, it will NOT be another 30 years before my next visit. Highly recommend.

My little table was a wobbly trial. I spilled my coffee just by adjusting my position. Also my coffee cup had that large starburst crack in the bottom of it. Do they know that the glaze protects people from harmful substances in the ceramic leaching into the coffee? The coffee was very rich and tasty though. My wait time and my food were great. It was well plated as well. So the kitchen staff did a good job. Even the hash browns were how I like them. I was just so turned off by other issues that it was hard to enjoy the food. What a frustrating experience! Based on the service staff I would give them another try but based on maintenance and upkeep issues and management attitudes probably not! I cannot recommend this establishment, unfortunately. I am hesitant to return myself.

Our table was dirty/sticky/crumby when we sat down, the busser wiped only a portion of the table when he should have wiped the entire table clean. We saw ants near the window & on the floor. Waitress was kind, but didn't offer up much (ask us if we wanted coffee, other drinks, etc). Water glass was dirty at the bottom. Food came out hot, but chicken (chicken sandwich) was undercooked on the thicker end of the breast. We did mention this and they did comp us which was nice. This place is family-friendly however there is no changing table for babies/those in diapers. Food was fine, place was fine, but probably won't be back.

I ordered the corned beef hash skillet, and it did not disappoint. I always appreciate when a restaurant makes their corned beef hash in-house--it makes a difference--and this one was full of flavor and served piping hot. It also came with a side of pancakes, which were some of the fluffiest I've ever had. One small touch I really appreciated was the variety of flavored coffee creamers available at the table. It's nice to have options beyond the usual half-and-half. A fun surprise: my food was delivered by a robot! I visited during a Saturday afternoon and was surprised with how empty it was. It was one other family that were in the middle of their meal so I was a little nervous. Luckily, the emptiness wasn't related to the quality of the food because it was good. The crawfish etouffee was well seasoned and had a bit of a kick to it if you enjoy spice. They do have a full service bar with cocktails; I ordered a mixed drink and while it tasted fine, I could hardly taste any alcohol in it. The service was also a bit slower than I'd imagine considering that it was empty when I dined. Despite those minor shortcomings, I enjoyed my dining and would keep it on my list of places to consider in the future.

They enjoyed the poboys and thought the fried green tomato on it was an interesting touch. I ordered the vegetarian jambalaya, fried green tomatoes, and fried buffalo mushroom. Overall, I feel like everything, I ordered, was lacking in seasoning. The fried green tomatoes were good with dipping sauce. The batter on the mushrooms were on the soggy side; they might do better to cut the mushrooms instead of serving them whole. The jambalaya was too soupy. Traditional jambalaya doesn't have a liquid/soup to it. The jambalaya was more like a veggie étouffée. I would visit again to try the vegetarian jambalaya and, maybe, have the fried green tomatoes again.
