The situation was tricky--not only did it require careful planning for removal in a confined space, but also navigating the city's permit process. Out of several quotes I received, Simon's proposal stood out. He recommended using a crane for safety, and his price was very fair. Heather was amazing in managing the permit application--she clearly knows the process well and stayed on top of every detail until it was approved. On removal day, the crew was outstanding. The foreman arrived on time and prepared everything carefully. Of all the companies that provided quotes, JC Tree Experts was the most detailed. Some simply scribbled a price on their business card, but JC Tree Experts emailed a detailed quote explaining exactly what work was included, debris hauled away, etc., photos of the trees to be worked on, arborist certification, and even their insurance certificate as evidence that the company and their employees were covered in the event of accident or injury on our property. This was by far more than any other company provided, and it was a clear indication of their level of professionalism. Theirs was not the lowest quote, but was much more reasonable than some. They arrived as scheduled to do the work - in fact, a little early. It was a large crew with two large trucks and a wood chipper. The crew confirmed the expectations with us and set to work. They were all cheerful and friendly, but worked quite efficiently, completing the work in less than an hour. They did a great job on the trees, cleaned up all the debris completely, and even used a blower to make sure they didn't miss anything. I wholeheartedly recommend JC Tree Experts. They simply could not have done a better job!

This is exactly why I waited to post--I find this level of monitoring and personal contact highly invasive and unprofessional. Hired this company to remove a tree. First of all, I know it's a very demanding business and risky at that. And things come up all the time, but what is unacceptable is accountability. I had an appointment and the day of the person was nowhere to be seen. I could not get a hold of Xavier. He finally responded after numerous calls. I have several friends in this business and they said that they at least apologize when they over schedule and things come up. Again, I understand this. But at least apologize for the lack of communication. An apology goes a long way!

They ended up…read morebe the best priced and were accommodating on scheduling, coming over today (Saturday) in the morning. They arrived in time and setup without us even having to do anything. Efficient and punctual is great for any contractor! They took about 6 hours total to remove 1 very tall (but dead) Monterey Pine to about the fence line and trim away the dead branches on a second pine. The cleaned up and made the area even cleaner than it was before. All of the debris was hauled away and in the second tree they not only cut the dead branches away but also made it look nicer by doing expert pruning. Overall we are so happy with the work. They have easily won a place in our books for any future tree needs.
