What a bunch of buffoons. I went to the Burbank office to ask for a copy of an MRI I had done about 18 months ago. They told me to call the Sherman Oaks office. So I called and spoke to Kathy. I told her I had an MRI done on June 26th 2016 in a mobil unit parked outside of their office on Sepulveda. She said I would have to go there to get my records. So I drive through bumper to bumper traffic in the rain and when I arrived, the woman behind the desk said, "I spoke to you on the phone". The truck wasn't out front, so I asked why she told me to drive there, knowing she wouldn't be able to assist me. A guy working with her joked, "don't worry, the truck has LoJack", then explained the records weren't on the truck anyway but at their central office. He called and left a voice mail with that office, then promised to call me back the next day. Of course, he didn't. The following week, I called and spoke to him. He put me on hold and let Kathy deal with me. It was clear they had completely forgotten about me. Kathy said she was putting a rush on it, then corrected herself, saying it had already been sent, so they couldn't put a rush on it. She told me to call the following day. The next day, I called and got their voice mail so I drove over there again. I have an appointment with a new urologist tomorrow and want him to compare his new MRI with the old one. Does everyone have to go through all this hassle, just to get their medical records? When I showed up, Kathy said the MRI still hadn't arrived. I asked if they could just email a PDF of the email to my urologist and she said yes. I called two hours later and she said it hadn't arrived but she would call me. Now they are closed and she never called me. My doctor's appointment is at 9am tomorrow, 20 miles away. After this experience, I wouldn't trust them with my dog. There is absolutely no sense of urgency with these people, even when you are dealing with cancer, as I am. My suggestion? If your doctor uses Skyline Urology, find another doctor! read more

If I could give this group practice a ZERO, it would still feel like too high a rating! In my opinion, this place is a mill, collecting their fees and churning out patients with NO personal care, concern or follow-up. SEEKING NO CARE WOULD BE A BETTER OPTION THAN BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT WITH SKYLINE UROLOGY GROUP!!! If you wish to read the details of my experience, continue below... I booked an appointment through a referral from my longtime personal physician. I contacted Skyline to get all of my paperwork done ahead of time so that I could streamline the process (I hate sitting in an office filling out paperwork while juggling a phone, wallet and clipboard). I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time and was asked to fill out the paperwork. I said I had already done so and handed the packet to the receptionist, who commented that it was nice to have it done ahead of time and would help expedite the process...only to be seen by Dr. Weintraub 55 minutes later (45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time). Dr. Weintraub said that the procedure that I was in for consultation required me to view a video, but that another patient was viewing the video and he would just give me a quick verbal rundown of it. After about 4 minutes, he was ready to send me on my way to schedule my surgery, but I still had some questions and asked if he would like to look at my medical records from my regular Dr.? Dr. Weintraub asked what kind of treatment my Dr. has prescribed and when I told him, he made some judgmental comments about the very Dr. who had referred me. I don't think that is unethical, but it certainly is not professional in my opinion. I was told that the records would be reviewed and he sent me up to the desk to schedule my surgery (and pay a deposit, of course), without ever taking a blood test or having anything to go on other than the blood pressure test that was given in the office. I called to confirm my surgery appointment and asked that the office call me back to confirm that Dr. Weintraub had a chance to review my records and/or consult with my physician. Instead, I get a call (not a callback) telling me we need to reschedule because Dr. Weintraub will be in surgery. WHAT??? I thought mine was the surgery he was scheduled to perform? I asked again that the Dr. call me back to confirm the Records had been reviewed...this is surgery on a delicate part of ME and I want to be sure he knows all the facts about my history...once again to never receive a return call. At this point, I am not feeling confident in this Dr.'s ability to go forward with the procedure until I am sure he knows MY specifics, so I cancel the appointment and ask for a return call. NOTHING!!! Now, I call to get a refund of my deposit as I have found a great Dr. ( a second referral from my own Dr.) and ask to be called to let me know this has been taken care of! NADA!!! After my 5th call, I finally get a call back from Kathy in the in scheduling and billing, who quickly, efficiently and courteously handles my request. The ONE SHINING STAR in a BLACK HOLE of incompetence and apathy! Kathy was the only redeeming factor in this whole exercise in futility (no, not fertility, though it is a urology group), so at least it didn't leave me feeling completely exasperated! Thank you Kathy! You deserve a huge raise for all the complaining I'm sure with which you have to deal! If you want to book an appointment with a great urologist, call Dr. Richard Shapiro in Tarzana at 818.996.4242. Dr. Shapiro is everything Dr. Wientraub is not. Caring, focused, listens well, calls back with test results, and actually seems interested in his patients well-being! Very satisfied (that is an understatement) with the new Dr. referral! read more

How do you rate a place that sticks a camera up your ass? LOL! I had to make a visit here because of the old age thing. I had to get a prostate biopsy exam. I can say one thing the doctor (Weintraub) and his staff are awesome. They try to make you feel comfortable as possible considering what is going to happen. I have to agree with the posts on this page. I wish I looked his office up before going. I waiting TWO HOURS to see him. 90 mins in the waiting room and another 30 in the examine room. The manager of the office came and apologized for the wait. The number on this listing in Yelp is no longer in service. They sent me a login for a patient page to check in and follow up, but the link does not work and there's no way for me to get it fixed. Dr. Hyman seemed very nice, but the office is poorly ran. I just wanted to write this review because I inadvertently looked at the reviews for skyline urology and was a little nervous to go there. I had a very nice experience there today. Patty was the nurse that prepped me and she could not have been nicer. Dr Hymen was very personable and to the point and spent time talking to me about my options after my procedure. I waited very little time in the waiting room and also in the procedure room before getting my procedure. The front desk people were also very nice. All in all a very pleasant experience! I would recommend Skyline and Dr. Hymen very highly!! read more

I can only speak about my husbands experience with Dr. Hyman which was TERRIBLE. Not only did he misdiagnose my husband with a chronic illness-which would have put him on medication for the rest of his life- but he was also rude and dismissed what my husband would ask and tell him! Luckily, my husband decided to get a second opinion from another doctor because it turns out my husband just had an infection and needed antibiotics for a month. That's a huge difference and has severe repercussions. Could you imagine unnecessarily using a medication for decades???! Not only that, but the second doctor also said that this infection is really common among men my husband's age, so Dr. Hyman should have known better! read more

Unfortunately there is no zero star, I'd give that. They gave me an appointment for more that a month later, and when I showed up they said they don't have me in the system. The doctor wasn't experienced enough to recognize my symptoms, so just wasted $70 for nothing. read more

Dr chandrasoma is a very kind doctor. He keeps you waiting way past your appointment time because he spends time with you explaining all your options. I have multiple sclerosis Parkinson's disease and have to catherize or have someone do it. I recommend him because of his kindness and diagnostic tests.this office is not for someone who wants to be taken on time. read more

Going to the urologist is a stressful experience, but Dr. Chandrasoma put me at ease right away. I loved his demeanor. He was very kind and took the necessary time to answer any questions and explain everything. He's not the kind of doctor that will look at you and automatically order a CAT scan and an MRI if you don't need it (which unfortunately seems to be the norm these days). To give you an example, I had what to me looked like a cyst in the scrotum. I went to urgent care to get it treated but instead the doctor told me to see a urologist immediately and get a CAT Scan and an MRI, because it was likely very serious. Needless to say, I couldn't sleep that night. I then went to Dr. Chandrasoma and he immediately put me at ease. It was a simple pimple that got infected and could be treated with antibiotics. It is the difference between a knowledgeable doctor (like Dr. Chadrasoma) and one that is not and just automatically orders all kinds of expensive tests and makes you fear the worst while the whole process is taking place (like the doctor at the urgent care). Can't speak for the other doctors, but from my experience the staff was courteous and Dr. Chadrasoma couldn't have been better. I highly recommend him. read more

This Doctor's office needs a lot improvement on scheduling and dealing with people. Also Dr. Chandrasoma has a bad bedside manner and also did not tell me about other procedures that i could have done to make my life better. he asked me why i needed a second opinion when all was needed, is just listen to him. I am writing specifically regarding the disaster that is their billing department. It has been 2 years since my visit and I am dealing with being in collections because their billing department did not bill my insurance correctly. I had multiple conversations with their old billing department, and thought my account was cleared up, and then the collections notices started. When I speak to their new billing department, specifically Mary Ann, they say that all of my records have been wiped and they can't help me. Seems like a lawsuit is next. read more

I always say...office staff will kill a doctor's business faster than a bad doctor. Was referred to Doctor Gelbard here and when I arrived for my appointment today at 9:30 am, I had to wait while Lisa, I think that was her name on the front desk, finished her personal texting, she said can I help you and then ignored me while she placed a call to someone about their appointment. They had me fill out a bunch of papers only to discover they were NOT part of Providence St Joseph's network as I was told. They weren't on their system either. I am a medi/medi patient but they still wanted me to sign a financial responsibility form so, as the office manager told me, they could bill me directly for what Medi/medi didn't pay. They also demanded that I sign a Medigap form even though I do not have additional Medigap insurance. The office manager told me I would need to pay CASH for the visit if I didn't sign their waivers. I did sign the medi/medi authorization to pay though. Needless to say I told the manager lady that we were done and left the office. Run from this office was more like it. They are extremely antiquated in their NON-paperless system and overloaded with tons of paperwork. Time to get a better office manager that will get them on the St Joseph's network system and eliminate ALL of that paper. Also need to replace most of the women in the office that want to text and ignore patients. read more

When three people recommend the same Doctor, you should probably listen. In my case it was my regular Dr. who does my physicals, a next door neighbor and one of my best friends. I didn't say anything other than "I need a Urologist, do you know one?" They all said Dr. Hyman and they all said the same thing about him. He is thorough, really really smart and he will fix whatever needs to get done. In my case it was removing a large Kidney Stone after a hospital in Dallas, Texas could not get to it after I checked myself into their emergency room while on a biz trip. The Doctor was able to put a stent in until I could get back to Los Angeles and continue the process. Once all the records and the MRI were transferred to Skyline my appointment was made. The first thing they did was take another X ray to see where the Kidney Stone was and if it moved. This was my first appointment and what was interesting about Dr. Hyman is how transparent he is. While looking at the MRI from Dallas and reading the Doctor's notes he is paraphrasing what he is reading and editorializing at the same time as far as what he would have done and how he thinks we should proceed and why. When I left his office I had this sense of understanding as much as he does about what has to happen even though I never spent a day in medical school! Due to the size of the stone it actually took two procedures. I found Dr. Hyman very personable and answers any questions you might have. We should all love what we do for a living as much as this guy does! His enthusiasm is that crystal clear. read more

Please, avoid to see dr.Michael Hyman. He lacks completely manners, his approach of a patient is so blatantly indifferent, waiting time was an hour and meanwhile, dr. Hyman was laughing over his text messages in his office as we were passing by. Then, another endless time waiting for him when finally, he delivered cancer news in a very cold, bored manner, as he was just doing his routine, taking less time with us than with his entertaining text messages. Certainly not a doctor to see...Also, some serious mistakes in the medical chart has occurred. Even a wrong diagnostic not related to the issue treated! How we can trust the diagnostic when there are two major mistakes in the file ?! We were appalled by the shoe thing....We found another doctor and discovered a trustworthy, very professional person and we are happy that we have never ever have to return to Mr. Hyman. He shouldn't work with people.Please, trust our experience to avoid some major disappointment and frustration with Skyline Urology. read more
