Roach ordering his/her happy hour drink
    A H.

I've been coming to Skyway Bowl for many years. More recently I've been going there during their happy hour for drinks. Sometimes service is a bit slow because they always seem to have only one server and that one server is tending to the bar as well as the bowling area. Went there the other day and a roach decided to come have a drink too. Told the bartender and the response was "I kill these every day". Clearly that was my cue to go.

Perhaps one of the stranger bowling options in Seattle -- or rather, just south of the city limits in lovely Skyway. It's cheap and psychedelically colorful, and Thursdays are "Ladies night" with free shoe rentals and three free games for the ladies. But Skyway Park Bowl is more than just a bowling alley -- see, there's dilapidated indoor mini-golf, too! And cheap beer. And people-watching. And karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays. And pool. And gambling. And did I mention the people-watching? Hoo-wee. It gets weird in these parts. UPDATE: Turns out the mini-golf must have gotten too dilapidated, because the golfing area is now walled off and under construction. Also, the scene on a Friday night is INSANE. There's a Thai karaoke crew that takes over the lounge, and you can bowl in the blacklight with disco lights going around and crazy LCD lights zooming up the sides of the lanes. The blackjack tables are packed (who ARE all these people?) and George Clinton bumps over the soundsystem. Awesome people-watching.

Had great time with friends and bowl was fun, only issue was the lane was constantly running into issues and causing delay in our play.

Very affordable, and great deals throughout the week. Kind staff, just be patient because sometimes lanes will tweak out.

Kyle is a pleasure to work with. He's always quick to respond via e-mail and text. He provides all the information and takes payments up until a month before your event date (which is super helpful). The hall itself is awesome. It's spacious, has all the tables and chairs, has a full-use kitchen with refrigerator. Plus, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, anything you can think of really. My brother-in-law even got married here (loved the place after our baby shower, and the pricing is just too good to be true). If we have another event in the future that requires a big space, we'll definitely rent here again. I would 10/10 recommend this place if you're looking for a big space with full-use kitchen, and pretty much everything besides decorations lol

One thing I like about this hall is the parking space. So much parking spot and you don't have to worry about guest having to find parking out in the streets. I would recommend this rental if you're doing a celebration for all sorts of things.

I have a feeling it used to be a house that was gutted into the event space, especially given the strange second floor. I had some trouble finding this place at night. The street to turn on to get to the venue was extremely dark and hard to find, and required me circling the block a bit. On the other hand, parking wasn't bad. There were several parking spots right outside the venue, but also there was easy street parking in the area. They have a nice bar area with seating, a kitchen area for food that you could hold just enough people to grab food, and a large main space that was pretty good for dance party. The ceiling of the main space was basically two floors, which at least for our party meant the lighting was kinda strange. My only real complaint is the bathroom situation. Basically, there are two bathrooms in the entire venue. Not bathroom *areas* or mens/womens, but literally two toilets. For our large group, it was technically sufficient, although we seemed to run out of toilet paper a couple hours in, but it did mean lines. I was not privy to details like the cost or the actual number of attendees, so I don't know how much it was "worth it" in that sense, but we had a good time.

Marsha was our event coordinator and I cannot say enough positive things about her - she even helped us alter parts of the menu to help with our budget - thanks Marsha! Food was great and affordable! For food tastings, they invited customers to come on a scheduled night to taste (there were people from about 6 other events the night we went) - which was great because a buffet was set up for us to sample different choices from their menu. The venue itself is huge! All of our family and friends were so impressed with the spacious room and high ceilings. Like others have said, the only concern I'd have with the place is parking - luckily the transit center parking garage is a very short walking distant from venue. While the day of our event was hectic in our end, everyone at Renton Pavilion Center helped make it go so smoothly. Their employee, Daniel, really saved us with all the technical issues/concerns we ran into, and the rest of their team were just really nice. The location is convenient for exploring the greater Seattle area, and the views of Lake Washington are a wonderful bonus. My room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with cozy beds and thoughtful amenities that made for a relaxing stay. The common areas were inviting and well-designed, providing great spaces to unwind or get some work done. I also appreciated some of the unique offerings, including complimentary evening s'mores, an indoor pool, and an outdoor bar and restaurant that operates on select days. Food trucks appear on certain days for lunch too. The hotel is within walking distance of a park and hiking trails, making it easy to enjoy the outdoors. Another nice perk was the availability of complimentary bicycles, and there is a shopping mall just a short distance away for dining, shopping, and entertainment. The main drawback is the distance from downtown Seattle and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, as rideshare costs can add up quickly when traveling back and forth. However, if you don't mind being outside the city center, the peaceful lakeside setting is well worth it. Overall, I would happily stay here again and would recommend the Hyatt Regency Renton to both business and leisure travelers looking for a comfortable, well-appointed hotel with great amenities and easy access to outdoor recreation.
