The crew that worked on my basement did good work -- the framing, drywall, electrical, and painting were solid, and the individual workers were skilled and professional. If the project had been completed, I'd have been happy with the quality. The problem is it wasn't completed. The job started in early January with an estimated two-week timeline. Two months later, with work still unfinished, I had to terminate the contract. Throughout that time, communication was poor -- I had to repeatedly chase down updates, received multiple promises of crew returning that didn't happen, and got a series of explanations for delays (some legitimate, some not) with no consistent follow-through. I had paid in full before the work was done. Despite my termination letter and a formal refund request for the unfinished items, the company disputed the amount owed and has not paid. I ultimately completed much of the remaining work myself and hired a junk hauling service to handle the cleanup they agreed to do. I don't question the quality of the hands-on work. But reliability, communication, and accountability matter just as much -- and on those fronts, I can't recommend this contractor.

Almost anybody can set a toilet, but I've seen Nathan do so many detailed finishes and find creative solutions to our demanding design that I'm not sure he has limitations. I like that, unlike most of the contractors we met with, I could shop around for my own finishes without his mark up. When needed, Nathan would use his contractor discount for us to purchase at cost. Nathan is also super easy to work with. Like any project, adding items after the scope of work is agreed on can significantly increase the price. After all, they are already in your house, they (the typical general contractor) know you aren't going to want to shop for a better price and it's going to make sure it's worth their inconvenience if they have to squeeze you into their already tight schedule. We are so lucky to have Nathan working with us. He did so many extra random jobs that required his skill but without the inflated cost. At this point, there's nothing I wouldn't trust Nathan to do, and for a reasonable price, as long as he told me he could do it. I'd pick him again without question and recommend him to friends.

We have a 1925 house and asked Nathan to replace all of the carpet and linoleum on the main floor with 18 inch porcelain tile. This included a sunroom, living room, kitchen, hallway, and bathroom. His bid was $2000 less than the other bids and he accepts credit cards. These were both deal breakers that, otherwise, would have prevented us from doing the project ... AND it included new, painted baseboards which the other bids did now. Additionally, other bids asked that we move all our appliances out of the kitchen and the move the toilet. We only have one bathroom. Nathan kept both our kitchen and bathroom fully functional throughout the whole process. It was always fun to see where the fridge would be when we got home from work each day! Nathan ran into a few snags. He had to raise the front door (you can do that?!), level out the sun room with cement, and work with very "wavy" tile. These set backs meant that rather than the estimated 5 business days, the project stretched to 8. He didn't charge us anything additional! He was more concerned with giving us a perfect floor than getting the job done quickly. Overall, we were 100% satisfied with Nathan's work and will call him for all future home needs!! His findings included a summary of the settlement in the house, a summary of the structural design (beam length, length between pier pads, etc.), and recommendations for improvements to mitigate future settlement. I have since learned that one of my beams is actually in contact with the ground and misaligned with an adjacent beam. None of this was noted in the engineering report. Overall I'm extremely unsatisfied with this service. A critical (and costly) detail was missing from this report and I couldn't even get an answer as to whether or not he noticed it during his inspection. I called back to ask about this and still do not know whether or not that beam is supported by pier pads or by the ground with which it is in contact. I would expect at least that amount of detail in a structural engineering report.

We told him what we wanted done, and William gave us the best bid for our project, so we decided to go with William and his crew.
