It's also a welcoming spot for the gaming community, where people gather to play trading card games like Magic: The Gathering and Disney Lorcana. This store has been part of the community for years and is now under new management. With so few comic book stores left in Southern California, it's great to see a local shop like this still thriving. The shelves are packed with comic books, graphic novels, figurines, trading cards, collectibles, and even used DVDs, making it fun to browse no matter what you're into. The owners and staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Whether you're a longtime collector, a casual fan, or someone just getting into comics or trading card games, they make you feel welcome. Upon first arrival, I was greeted by a friendly employee who gave me a quick run through of how the shop works. Nice assortment of rare books, comics, and illustration collections. Lots of stuff you won't find anywhere else at very fair prices. Revisiting the shop a few days later I was greeted by the same staff member who remembered me from last time. For one of the items I purchased I was offered a brand new copy in shrink wrap vs the display copy which was a nice touch I appreciated. Give this place a visit. They also have a nice website synced with their inventory you can use for faster pickup or browsing their collection from home.

I walked into a store that carries merchandise that simply does not surface at most American retailers, and that distinction was the main reason I made the trip. The selection covers a wide range. I saw rows of pins, acrylic stands, stickers, keychains, figurines, manga, and stationery filling the floor, and the depth in certain titles went well beyond what I have found at convention vendor tables or general pop culture stores. The Project Sekai section was one of the more notable dedicated areas and is genuinely rare to encounter outside of Japan. VTuber merchandise and more niche title selections appeared here in a way that reflects the store's connection to the Japanese market rather than just catering to the most mainstream Western anime fanbase. There is also a gashapon section where you can exchange cash for tokens and try your luck at the machines, which tends to draw its own crowd. Prices run higher than what I would pay in Japan directly, which is expected given the import overhead, but for collectors who cannot make the trip the markup is the cost of access. The store is worth visiting for any serious fan of the medium, and even a casual browse tends to surface something unexpected.
