Stay away from this company and literally buy from anyone else or online. I was so happy that they offered free home shipping of CPAP supplies as their parking can get very congested and there is no area for pickups. However, they continued to send me wrong parts and refused to pay for shipping. The only way to return them, is for you to take off of work and return them to their office. They don't respond to emails or calls and the only people you can get a hold of is there overseas support who has no authority or power to make any decisions. Everything has to go through Taylor and their main office, which again is almost impossible to get a hold of them. At the end of almost 6 months of going back and forth and even sending them a detailed email with photos proving that their parts were wrong. I ended up just paying for all of the wrong parts just so I could put this behind me. A waste of $100+ dollars just so I never have to do business or hear from them again. While the doctor is friendly and knowledgeable, good luck with any support after that. I can't say this enough, STAY AWAY! I've never had a worst experience then Sleep Center Hawaii has provided. read more

I took my 9 year old son. I thought he was going to have a hard time doing the test. But Nerriza was Super nice and helpful. Made him feel calm and comfortable. Room was really nice, clean and the temperature was cool. Made it easy for him to fall asleep quick. Before he knew it he was waking up and getting ready to leave. I had my sleep study done on Monday night and I was a little nervous not really knowing what to expect. They got my paperwork and vitals when I first got there and the guy was really nice and made me feel comfortable. The room I was in was clean and cool. Nerizza was my tech and she was so nice and helpful. She made the experience better for me by explaining everything and by trying to collect the best data to give to my provider (it was hard for me to fall asleep and I'm a light sleeper). I was referred here by my PCP. The idea of sleeping away from home for medical purposes (and not vacation) is not exciting at all. However I had a GREAT experience here! The night staff that I interacted with Nerriza , Bonn and Ashley were outstanding. From check in, to setting me up, to adjustments being made throiout the night, they were all so kind, gentle and informative. They really made me feel very comfortable and I ended up having such a pleasant sleep. They were knowledgeable and experienced, explained everything, answered my questions, and were easy to talk to. Their patient care is fantastic. To top it off the facilities were very very clean. The bed and the room was clean and it was homey too. As were the bathrooms and lobby area. Overall the staff were the highlight of my experience. Them making me feel comfortable really helped me a great nights rest. And I look forward to my results. This 5 star review is for the Amazing nurse who was assigned to me, Narizza! She was very welcoming, polite, kind, caring and most of all professional! I was worried I wouldn't be able to sleep given the circumstances plus me just not being able to sleep so easily period, but she made me feel right at home as soon as I arrived. She ran me through the process, hooked me up to wires and I was able to start my sleep study pretty quick. She was kind and courteous when waking me up as well as when I had questions or had to go to the rest room as well. What impressed me the most is that she went the extra mile and made sure the study was thourogh and done well. I was the last to leave in the morning! The end process was quick as well. She took off all the wires and attachments, made sure I was ok, as well as making sure I wasn't forgetting any of my belongings and sent me on my way. Would definitely recommend 10/10!! Today was my second sleep study and my tech Julie made the experience a lot better. I was hesitant to wear the mask my first experience. So going into my second sleep study I was worried I wouldn't sleep but Julie was patient creating conversation making the set up a smooth transition and very helpful adjusting the mask providing me a better chance at relaxing and ultimately getting quality sleep. read more

I would beg to differ regarding the less than favorable reviews because the night of my husband's sleep study, Angel and Julie were truly amazing techs who took great care of "uncle Bruce!" Although I did not overnight it with him, when I picked him up the next morning he nothing but wonderful things to say about them. Angel who greeted us when we first got there was a wonder at her professionalism. She as well as Julie both have magnetic personalities and truly makes a person feel very comfortable. I commend them for their sweet and funny personalities because we arrived smiling and left there happy and impressed! This place is absolutely horrible. When you call they'll pick up but it's never the clinic it goes straight to a call center and even though they try to help they are incompetent asf. When you have questions they'll always give you the run around and will tell you they'll give you a call back but they never do. I have to call every time to ask them to send me my supplies, they sent me supplies I'm not eligible for and now im getting charged for it, I've called multiple times for them to send my prescription over to a different clinic because I don't want to deal with them and they'll ignore you and won't do it. The over night ladies Nerriza, Hazel & Vad were all so quick & hospitable. They offered me help after explaining my delima and for apologizing for being late. They were like ohana helping this brudda out w/making a McDonalds run across the street and finding me an extra charger to borrow. Never thought I'd be so happy going to sleep outside the comforts of my own room, unless at a resort vacationing of course. But the warm friendly staff here, the fresh feeling you get when you enter a clean envioroment and that aloha ohana kine vibe they served me with made my stay way better than I expected. DO NOT GO HERE! Place is run from the mainland. ANY customer service and complaints are taken VERY lightly here, expect to wait for weeks if not months on fraudulent charges they take from your bank account. First they charge you for the machine, then they try to add charges every month for "renting" it?!? On top of that, they add on parts/accessory charges even though you don't receive them. Don't dare try to cancel your contract or refuse treatment from them, they'll tell you to have your PCP write a Rx stating that they are giving consent to go against THEIR (Sleep Center of Hawaiis) practice's recommendations. From the start to the end I had great service from Christian. Not too sure that's how you spell his name ha. He was reassuring and his communication made me felt as ease. I mean you have all these wires hooked up and you're sleeping in a random room, who wouldn't be nervous. Christian response to my needs were immediate. He explained the entire process to me. It shows that he cares for his patients. I would highly recommend this office. Everyone has a bad seed so looking at the other reviews doesn't do justice. You'll have to experience on your own. My hope for a resolution of my sleep disorder began at Sleep Center Hawaii when I woke up this morning feeling more rested and alert! Nerriza and Matt followed all the prescribed procedure of introducing themselves and orienting me what to expect in a Sleep Lab and the location of restrooms etc. But what I want to commend them about is their sincerity and care I felt as Nerriza first welcomed me and guided me into a clean and comfortable bedroom comparable to a hotel. Matt also came in from time to time to check me for my nocturnal trips to the restroom. As a 77 year old man having helped in caring for my children and grandchildren in their childhood years, I felt as if I switched roles last night. I was the child, Nerriza and Matt were the loving parents tucking me to bed. I slept early and dreamed in my sleep study at Sleep Center Hawaii and woke up this morning with the confidence they will be able to help me have more restful and tight sleeps in the future. I wish I could give this business a negative 10 stars. I was denied service today because I would not allow these people to retain a copy of my identification for their records. I DID NOT refuse to provide them with proper identification for purposes of ensuring that I was who I said I was. I provided all of the information they would need to file a claim with my insurance provider. This business claims that they HAVE TO HAVE a copy of my identification in order to submit an insurance claim for the services I receive. THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE and my insurer does not require a photo copy of my identification in order for this business to submit a claim. (This information is confirmed by my insurer's written claims submission procedure). Over the years, I have found that most people are just like sheep and provide an do whatever people ask them to then when people like me say no we are immediately perceived to be combative, unreasonable, and uncooperative. I do not allow people to retain my identification because I have visited many offices and have seen how haphazardly our private information is handled. If I was a identity thief, I would just have to look at all of patient information strewn all over the desks for all to see. That's why I trust no one. I have seen this many times! When I have had this problem in the past, it has always been resolved amicably. Most of the time the people at the front desk are ignorant and not well-trained and it usually takes a knowledgeable supervisor or manager to resolve the situation. A few of the large health organizations here in Hawaii have changed their policies as a result of formal complaints that I have filed regarding this and similar matters. I was provided Davina's name as someone who would be able to assist with this matter. When I asked for her contact information, I was told that they couldn't give it to me. How am I supposed to contact her? Smoke signals? It's not like I wanted her home phone number, personal email address, or home address. I wanted her business contact info. In fact, at one point, the girl at the front desk was ignoring me and then said "what did you say", I repeated myself REALLY slowly and then she told me not to talk to her like that. My thought around speaking slowly was to enunciate every word so that there would be no question about what I was trying to communicate. I was not yelling, just speaking slowly. Obviously she took offense!!! Lastly, another woman, who I'm guessing was a "supervisor" actually turned her back on me and walked away because she felt that she couldn't communicate what she was trying to say. When I stopped and told her to communicate, that's when she turned her back and walked away. No humility!!! Unprofessional!!! Seeing the behavior of this "supervisor", I now understand why the front office staff acts the way they do toward customers. Someone owes me an apology!!! I wasted my time, gas, and $1 for parking and was lied to and unfairly treated!!!!!!!!!!! Integrity means alot!!!!!!!! If you have YOUR OWN OPINIONS and are aware of what you do and don't have to provide to someone, I would not recommend that you patronize this business. read more

I had my sleep study conducted here. I can honestly say this is the most customer-friendly medical facility I've been seen at since moving to Hawaii a year ago. I also would like to commend Narrissa and Angel for their professionalism and courtesy. They were extremely knowledgeable about the procedure and willingly answered all my questions. The Physicians and staff at Sleep Center Hawaii have really changed my health for the better. Not only were they the first ever to properly diagnose the severity of my sleep apnea, but they were also the first to ensure I would receive the right equipment necessary to ensure I am well rested and 100% ready for work. If you are fortunate enough to get PA-C Simone Coderellis as your clinical physician, you will enjoy being evaluated by someone with a great sense of humor and professional expertise. Her knowledge on sleep disorders really educated me about how important it is to get treatment and, in easy to understand terms, explain to me the various phases of my treatment. Also, I would really like to thank the night technicians who helped me successfully get through my sleep study . Ms Hazel Rivero and Ms Jordan Harris were instrumental in helping me to calm down so that I could successfully begin my sleep cycle and make it to REM sleep, which is critical for the study. They adjusted me in the lineup for sensor preparation so that I was ready for bed. They also helped ensure I was adequately hydrated and tailored the preparation to ensure I took my sleep pill at exactly the right time. As a consequence, the study was highly successful and revealing my obstruction problem. read more

The staff seemed confused as to why I hadn't received any paperwork since they didn't send me any. The healthcare "professional" had COVID and decided to keep my appointment, but do a ZOOM call from home while I was in her exam room. I walked out after telling her we would not be moving forward. Update: if it wasn't for Nicole questioning the setting on the device, it would have been set too high. So she really did a great job at questioning the doctors setting. So I think Nicole gets a 5 star and no has called me and I atill don't have my machine. So I will average it out to a 3. I suppose to receive my equipment back in Summer. No one called and then after my doctor's office followed up many many times, someone called to say they dropped the ball and never put in the order. Now it's November and they still don't have the equipment and pushed my appointment back. But they just sent me an email stating that my past appointment that they postponed is marked as DONE. This is very concerning if this is how they keep our medical records. Hhhmmm. I will wait to see how it goes when they actually see me. Stay tuned. I will update on the office visit. read more

The facility is very clean and almost feels like you're staying at a hotel. The staff was amazing ( Nerizza, Angel, and Julie). I was there to accompany my son for his sleep study. The staff took the time to explain the procedure to him, went over the equipment that they will be using, answered his questions, and really eased some of his anxieties about the test and made him feel comfortable. On Dec 8th, 2023, I had a sleep study conducted at Sleep Center Hawaii in Aeia. It was the best service that I've had since being in Hawaii. Julie and Angel were fantastic. Please forgive me, I forgot the third young lady's name, but she was excellent as well. They ensured that I was comfortable as they put the sensors on me. They were extremely polite to me when they had to wake me up to put the CPAP machine on me. All the ladies deserve a raise in pay or, at the very least, a Christmas bonus. Thank you very much ladies. Have mixed feelings about this place. It took 2 months to get a consult appointment, which actually was very informative & positive. Simone had great suggestions for helping me overcome the previous bad experience at Kaiser 15 years ago. She recommended going & trying out different masks the week before the actual sleep study. Also, to fill an Rx for sleeping pills. Unfortunately, Rx was incomplete & Walgreens couldn't fill. Pharmacist said he'd call to verify along with a few others that she wrote. Told him she was leaving that day for a trip & that it wasn't a rush since it wasn't needed for the test, which was in another 2 months. Was told Rx expired in 30 days, so I called Pharmacy 10 days later to follow up, but they said no reply & then 15 days later, they called back stating there's still no response. So I called Sleep Ctr & left a voice mail message & never heard back. Called two more times & sent an email, & no one ever called back. At second visit, explained to technician I need sleeping pill for the test because I normally go to bed between 2am-6am & don't want to waste theirs or my time going to the sleep study & staying awake. Was told Simone was out to lunch & would get the message upon return. Never got any call back. So a few days later, I called my PCP's office but he wasn't well & left early. The next day, I received a call back from the nurse that he wasn't willing to write Rx, thinking it would affect the outcome, but I explained the situation. She eventually was able to convince him & got approval to call in my Rx. No one should have to go through so much unnecessary stress to get an Rx filled. The technicians at the study were very nice & professional. They were happy & appreciated the lychee my husband picked from our tree for them. So my in-office experiences were 5/5, but because of the lack of responses to calls, email & verbal requests for Rx, I lowered the rating. read more

Staff here are awesome! My cpap machine totally shut down being that my machine is old (10yrs). They were out of loaner machines and unfortunately under my insurance coverage, I needed to do another sleep test to receive a new machine that would be covered...the ladies at SCH went out of their way looking for loaner machines even at another facility...eventually they were able to squeeze me in that night for a sleep test! Sleep apnea is very common and a lot of people out there don't know they have it...get a sleep test done and I highly recommend coming here (SCH)! read more

Had a consult and they never called back to schedule my sleep study. I called them and left a message. The guy returned my call the next day and basically asked me what I was calling for. I told him I needed to schedule a sleep study and he said that he couldn't schedule one for me and would need to call me back. He never called back so I called again and left another message. So I've been waiting for a call back and nothing. My consult was in April and I still haven't heard from them, it's already the end of May. read more

I had a sleep study done a week ago, Angel and Julie were the ones taking care of me. They were both very compassionate, informative, had great sense of humors and made me laugh many times, as well as made me feel comfortable. I can't recall a time I've had nurses as great as them! My first visit did not start of right! My co pay for specialists is $45. They said theirs is $100. Next I came in for a sleep study on December 27, 2018 at 8pm, $100 co pay. The assistant was very polite and did a great job of hooking me up with all the wires. Now the bad part. The place is like a very cheap hotel room with bed that is terrible and the worst bed I ever tried to sleep on. I did not sleep well at all that night. No tv / cable to watch. At 5am the next morning the assistant came in and said I am done. I told her about the bed and the lack of sleep because of the poor quality of the bed The room was right next to a busy road and you can hear everything outside This was a complete was of my time and money because how can you do a fair evaluation of anyone if the settings are poor to begin with. At every point they explained what to expect and what the evening would be like. Nurse Jordan was very informative and made me feel at home. I was honestly nervous to get my sleep study done and seriously thought about cancelling multiple times but I am glad I didn't. The staff at Sleep Center Hawaii are incredibly professional, respectful and do their best to make sure you're feeling as comfortable as possible.
