We passed by here yesterday, hoping to take a look at the property, but the gate to it was only partially open and we didn't feel comfortable opening it up and driving in. After talking to some locals, it's clear that it's been kind of an on and off situation for the last few years mostly Off with them doing renovations, but never really opening up. It looks so quaint and charming and I'm sure it was lovely in the past, but it would probably take a pretty penny to turn it around and I'm not really sure what the current owner's motivation is to do with the property. Personally, I would just keep it for myself :-)

In the morning, we would head to our camp ground at Eagle Valley for some trout fishing and camping. They weren't rude, but let's just say they met the minimum requirements of employment. If there was an Olympic event for "professional neutrality," these folks would medal. Also worth noting: there's a little decorative bell in the courtyard -- which small children somehow sense from miles away. If you're planning on an afternoon nap, forget it. Fantastic place, very good price. I'm glad the Overland didn't open in time for my vacation. This place is the only place to stay and feel at home. Bring your off road vehicles!
