We passed by here yesterday, hoping to take a look at the property, but the gate to it was only partially open and we didn't feel comfortable opening it up and driving in. After talking to some locals, it's clear that it's been kind of an on and off situation for the last few years mostly Off with them doing renovations, but never really opening up. It looks so quaint and charming and I'm sure it was lovely in the past, but it would probably take a pretty penny to turn it around and I'm not really sure what the current owner's motivation is to do with the property. Personally, I would just keep it for myself :-)

They weren't rude, but let's just say they met the minimum requirements of employment. If there was an Olympic event for "professional neutrality," these folks would medal. Also worth noting: there's a little decorative bell in the courtyard -- which small children somehow sense from miles away. If you're planning on an afternoon nap, forget it. We were instantly at ease with the gal at the front desk situated in their cozy reception area. We were able to book our preferred room type and we were off! The property is beautiful, service is wonderful, the rooms are lovely and well kept, and the river front rooms sit on a lawn that borders the river and every single day we had deer grazing there which was magical. The hotel has partnerships with many businesses in the local area where you get a discount for activities and food and such. We did the e-bikes through the company that's right there on site, we also took advantage of the discounts at the hot springs and the on site restaurant! Highly recommend and can't wait to come back.
