I had a wonderful week at The Sleep Inn. my only disappointment was the tiny balcony whose railing blocked my view of the ocean . The staff was kind and always helpful. My room was cleaned every day. We stayed two nights here and spent most of the time waiting on a elevator. Since one elevator was broken the whole time we stayed, the only elevator was constantly being used by everyone. The rooms are SMALL with small beds so if you are bringing the family... not the place to stay. The breakfast is chaotic but has a good variety. It's very hot in the hotel, including the rooms. The pool is small and is used as a rinse off bath for the people coming in from the beach. One good thing is the complimentary snow cones from 12-8pm. Wouldn't stay again... read more

Stayed here while attending a conference in the area. Sleep Inns are typically one of my preferred hotels of the Choice Hotels brand so I tend to book with them when booking with CH. The advantage of this location is that it's located directly on the beach; access to the beach front is just steps away from your room. The disadvantage of this location is the elevator located down the hall from the front desk. It's really really really slow! Multiple guests were complaining about it and I even chatted with one of the maintenance guys who complained about it as well. Puhhhh-leeeze fix the elevator! Another thing I noticed is that the side door did not require a guest key to enter and it remained unlocked throughout the night. So anyone could walk in and at any time. Beware. For the safety of your guests, please implement a safer entrance requirement to gain access with entering the hotel; especially if it's not through the front doors. Other than the elevator and the unlocked side door(s), the stay was decent for the price and its access to the beach. My room was clean and size was adequate for accompanying 1-2 people. Furnishing was adequate. Majority of the staff that I came in contact with were nice. The front desk did a good job with fulfilling my request to check in early. read more

Room nice. Clean. Great staff. For years we stayed at the Hampton Inn but it got to be too expensive. This will be our go to place from now on. We had beach front with a balcony. It had the best breakfast I have had anywhere. Lots of choices. Waffles, cereal, pastries, boiled eggs, sausage and biscuits, fruit cups and so much more. Best of all is the made to order omelets. What other hotel breakfast bar has that?! We love this place and we will be back again. read more

Customer Service: 5 stars: checked in 9/22 - 9/23. The desk staff was friendly. Today 9/23 the desk agent this morning was kind enough to send my kids post cards out with their mail. I asked her did they sell feminine care products and she said they offer complimentary ones in the bathroom. Breakfast: 2 stars: breakfast needs some work. 2 types of fiber rich cereals, thats fine if i was traveling with some 80 year olds. But a 9 and 8 year old would like better options than regular cheerios and bran flakes, yikes! The Fresh fruit was cool and the pastries. They offer yogurt, boiled eggs (major gross), and brown and serve fake sausages. My kid is a carnivore and he refused to eat them. The waffle machine and batter is average, same ol bland ass crunchy waffle anywhere a hotel offers this. The coffee and tea station was nice. Hotel room: 3 stars: it was some dings and dangs here and there but we were barely in the room. The room was clean for the most part besides a stray blonde hair on the sink. Do yourself a favor and lysol everything down like i do. Being this is a beach hotel and sand is a pain, bring house shoes or plan on wearing socks in the room. I dont do bare feet in any hotel room, its just icky. The beds were comfortable and our room was facing the walmart plaza on the 4th floor. There are beach front rooms if you want to spend that type of dough. The towels is why im dropping them down 2 stars, they are very linty and made my skin feel itchy like something was crawling on me. Minor stuff but they need to either change their laundry products or lint screen so it can make the towels more comfortable. Cleanliness: 4 stars: overall clean establishment. Perks: they offer you towels for the pool/beach. Publix grocery store is acros the street. Walmart is across the street. Starbucks is walking distance if you don't mind a 10 minute walk. The beach access is easy and great. Lots of eateries in walking distance. Uber eats does deliver to hotel. No fees for daily parking. They have vending machines for both drinks and snacks. The rooms have refrigerators and microwaves. Overall: i would stay there again. Its a value for what you pay for and if you are adventurous like us you will barely be in the room. This could easily be a 4 star experience had the continental breakfast been better. read more

Decently priced hotel. They have a pool that I saw cleaned every morning. Perfect view of the beach with a walkway directly on to the beach. Rooms were really nice with a balcony and a standing shower. I thought beds were very comfortable. Staff was very helpful and nice at accommodating our stay. They do offer a decent selection for breakfast. Only downside is I recommend taking stairs over elevators they are very slow. Overall good experience at this hotel! read more

This place is an 'OVERPRICED DUMP'. This hotel uses false, misleading, and deceptive advertising to trick tourist and visitors into thinking they are paying less for the same or more amenities, beach front views and hotel conditions as staying at a Marriott, Hilton or Hyatt property on Perdido Beach. This is false. The rooms are extremely small, the double bed rooms are tight ,one bed is so close to the dirty dusty curtains, the other bed is too close to the bathroom, the shower drain in room#506 smelled horribly, I had to wear a face mask while inside the room, the managers poured mango and vinegar down the drain to cover up the smell, the microwave and minifridge was not clean, there were traces of food crumbs and stains from the previous guest. The WI-Fi did not work. The furniture had rust and chips. The breakfast is cheap and high in sugar. The ice maker on the 1st floor was dirty with stains and disgusting. There was a large recent water stain on the ceiling in my room. The GM Ray Stoddard is not friendly, unhelpful and unprofessional, when you have any concerns as a guest, and you inform him. There is no fire extinguisher on the 5th floor near the huge pink stain on the wall under the window. They advertise the hotel is non- smoking. False, there is guest smoking of all kinds that is allowed by the staff. The guest under my room smoked everyday more than 3x a day out on his balcony, which prevented me from using my balcony fully. There were random water leaks throughout the hotel. The t.v. channel did not come through and after a certain time you are unable to even watch T.V. Big disappointment in the conditions and false amenities this hotel claimed. I was surely tricked by the ocean pictures they use. I will never stay at this hotel again. When I fist walk into my two bed room I am mediately noticed that this hotel was not worth what I paid to stay for. The beds were loud and uncomfortable, the elevators looked and felt like they were built two decades ago. The rooms were very low maintenance, completely filthy, balcony was smaller than the beds, and the beds, can't fit two 14 year olds on it. I walk into the bathroom, it was smaller than the balcony. The shower was an unholy pale yellow, and the handicap rail to help people get up if they fell, FELL OFF THE WALL. I do not recommend anybody pay that much for a hotel like that. read more

My husband and I have had the best time at this Sleep Inn. The front desk staff, Trey, Romeo & Becky, were all very friendly and super helpful with helping me book another night stay last minute. We just didn't want to leave!! The breakfast omelettes made fresh while you wait are sooo good!! It's the VERY BEST FREE BREAKFAST we've ever had staying at Choice hotels!! This hotel is beautiful. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean. You will not regret staying here. The location is right on the beach. I'm hoping one time we can stay in a room with a view of the ocean!! They never seem to be available for choice points users. Nonetheless, the hotel is very clean, safe and centrally located with a nice Rouses supermarket across the street for last minute buys. Lots of good restaurants all around it. An hour drive to Pensacola for a lil day trip. You really can't ask for more. I wouldn't hesitate booking here again!! We found food in our fridge of the people who had stayed previously when i told the manager he didn't do anything about we ended up taking it out ourselves the least you could do as a manager on duty is provide some sort of reassurance that you value me as a customer the fact that i had to take out the food from the mini fridge that didn't work to add on that was not mine is ridiculous! The manager on duty was an old white man who EVERY TIME someone said something to him he complained about it and didn't do anything. Fast friendly service. Clean rooms but small. Breakfast was decent. Wasn't any gravy. The view from the room was breathtaking. Easy beach access plus a small pool. Will be staying here in the future. They were also helpful in finding things I could do with the family and places to eat. The bad part is that the pool furniture needs some desperate updating. My husband and I enjoyed our 3 night stay here very much. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. I would give the staff 5 stars...so friendly and helpful. We called on our drive down to Orange Beach about our room. We didn't pay for an ocean view room but the front desk gave us a room with a pretty pool and side ocean view. Very kind! The layout of the rooms are a little odd with the sink next to the bed and not in the bathroom. Glad I traveled with someone I really like! The back elevator never stopped working but sounded rough. We had not booked a room, just figured we would find something when we arrived. Driving down the street, we seen this place and figured we would check it out. Went in and the gentleman at the desk was very welcoming and friendly, found out later that he is the manager. Kind of bummed that they didn't have onsite laundry, so we figured we would check out a couple other places. After stopping by a couple other hotels, we went back to Sleep Inn. The staff at the places we stopped at were not nearly as friendly as this staff. When we went back to get our room, we were helped greeted and helped by a very nice, young lady, Tori. She took care of all of our requests and made us feel "at home". We originally planned on staying a couple of days, but that soon changed. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. The room was very cozy and clean, the whole hotel was very clean. Breakfast was simple, but ample. During our stay, we needed some documents faxed, and Tori helped us out once again. We were also having issues with getting some documents printed, and the manager jumped right in to help us with that as well. The outdoor pool area was very clean and plenty of lounge chairs. We were able to see the Blue Angels fly by every morning, it was like having our own personal air show. The cleaning staff was also very friendly and made sure we had whatever we needed. We look forward to returning to the area again next November, and we hope that the same staff will be there. This Sleep Inn and staff deserve more than five stars. read more

The staff has been VERY helpful and friendly and the facility is clean. Upon arriving we were greeted by the staff and after getting settled in the room, we received a courtesy call from the front desk to make sure we found everything in order for our room. While really looking forward to our weekend on the beach. We were disappointed to find this hotel run down. Please dont look forward to tge typical continental breakfast. Hard boujef eggs in a cooler, waffles. And cheerios from a community container is what they serve. There isn't enough parking g if the hotel is full. We recently stayed here for a short vacation. The stay was pleasant. Many of the reviews we read spoke of how old this hotel was and how the breakfast was not sufficient. Now with that being said, yes the hotel seems to be in need of some work as it was older, the back elevator was slow and sometimes did not move at all (scary) and the breakfast was convenient, however get there early as it gets jammed packed! More options for those whom do not eat meat or gluten would be nice as well. Now for the room, it was comfortable and clean. Water pressure in the shower was horrible but at least we were able to use it. We did not have a direct view of the beach nor did we request it but we could see it from our balcony. All the staff we encountered were very polite. Also wanted mention that for the price of this hotel you can't beat it as its directly on the beach! I think the beach access sign needs to be more viewable as its kind of small and not only did we go out the wrong door but so did many others. Also a floor designation on each floor as the elevator opens so everyone knows what floor they are on that way one can be sure to exit the correct floor, lots of confusion there. read more

Are the rates reasonable...yes BUT you will need to remind yourself of that when sleeping on your broken bed, tripping over the metal bar protruding from your bed, turning on the light with seemingly burnt lamp shades and waiting on the incredibly slow elevator. I'm sure ordinarily you can take the stairs but apparently not this week as they are being painted. Pay attention to the amenities, no microwave and no gym. I will say that the housekeeping staff is friendly i would find another place to stay. They have some work to do here. read more

We drove 5 hours to get here for them to tell us that our reservation had been messed up. So we had to find something to do for 2 hours until they called us back. Booked our room a few months in advance. As far as the price it was one of the cheapest and after a five night stay I know why. It is one of the oldest hotels there. It was clean and in a good area however it was not the best place I have ever stayed. The fridge is very small. Not even large enough for leftovers for two people for one night. No microwave in the room. When we are staying multiple nights that feature is important to us. No light in the pool to enjoy a night swim. The shower leaked water in the floor. The sliding glass door in the room was foggy on one side you couldn't see through it and the other side did not slide open very easy. It was a fight to open and close. The back elevator was very slow and with the cleaning people using it with their large carts there was not always room for the paying guest. The continental breakfast was not a full breakfast either. We overheard a couple of guests complaining about items missing from their room. We will not be staying at this hotel again. read more
