This is your run of the mill area pizza place. Nothing too exciting and we haven't had anything terribly bad. The prices are OK and the portions are decent. The buffalo chicken mac n cheese (that is a mouth full!) calzone was really good and had a good kick to it. The Fish n chips were good - they didn't have too much batter and were not greasy at all. The chicken tenders came absolutely doused in BBQ sauce and the other in buffalo. The cheese pizza was the average "Greek" pizza. Wow! I can't believe what I just overheard! Trying to eat and enjoy some takeout with my family member and we did not receive a large majority of what we ordered and when we called to see what they could do to remedy the situation, the manager started to curse my *female* cousin out before she even got barely a word out and she absolutely did nothing to warrant this type of behavior, let alone was rude, verbally assaulting, nor anything that could possibly justify this type of behavior towards her! For a manager to not only behave this way, but to come off this way immediately, as well as to a female is beyond my comprehension! We should have looked at the reviews first before paying a dime to this horrible establishment that would not only be so disproportionately and completely unacceptable and unprofessional, but also whatever we did receive is actually disgusting and based on the presented behavior and lack of respect and dignity, we are certain that the cleanliness and manners by which they handle and prepare the food is certainly less than up to par with inspection qualification and more than likely they are filthy and need to be shut down. this is an "unassuming" retail establishment. They have consistent, good pizza. the pies may be a little small for a Large, but they are on time, and do not disappoint. I always ask for my pies to be "well done" because I do not want a soggy pizza. Their pies crust hold up! The dough has the right pull, but it could use a bit more flavor somehow. Just got back from Slice of Heaven, ordered a misho pizza, it had always been good, but this time, my husband brought it home and everything had shifted to one side and there was nothing on the other side at all,. Hardly no meat on it all peppers, mushroom and cheese, WOW what a down grade, My husband took it back and the owner got pissed at my husband, threw it in the trash and gave him our money back and said don't come back, my husband is not a person to complain, I am good thing I didn't take it back. Ordered take out and the process was easy and everything was ready in 20 minutes. Parking in front of the restaurant was a bit crowded, but that is a good sign that a lot of orders were being taken on a Friday night and there was minimal wait time to pick up our order. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and checked the order to make sure that everything was correct. The grinders were excellent; lots of meat and the variety on the menu is greater than many of the other pizza/sandwich places in the area and there were some very good vegetarian options as well. We just moved to the area recently and found this pizza spot that was moderately priced compared to other pizza shops in the area. We liked the food, however, we called today with the menu and coupons provided to us and were told they wouldn't be honoring any past coupons and that their prices have increased. Horrible customer service overall, 0 stars. The person I spoke to was super nice and offered to verbally give me the price of everything over the phone. This one's to management- not their employees. I had an original review supporting these guys when they opened, well things have drastically changed. Ordered 2 pizzas and fries guy on the phone repeats the order back. Get there and we're missing a pizza, so they make us pay for one pizza and fries. He says he'll have the second pizza delivered to us free of change we said we would just wait there for it. Wait another 20 min for one pizza and when it's done he tells my girlfriend she has to pay for it, verbatim "you get what you pay for and you did not pay for this pizza". We even tipped them so I had to go back in and get our tip while this asshole proceeded to yell at me about how he never said the pizza was free. After tonight I will not be coming back. I had ordered a small pizza a small calzone and a antipasta. They told me 20 minutes. Okay. I will accept that. Everything needs time to cook. I go to pick it up and they said a couple more minutes. I was like okay, I heard that before. It was never a problem. Tonight was different. I go to pick up my order with my brother as we walked in they we JUST MAKING my order. My brother even politely asked them, Did you just put it in as we were walking in? They looked at us with a confused look. Their response was We messed up. It took almost a hour to get our food. That's a big difference from a couple minutes. They should have been honest. But here where it gets worse. They proceeded to give us a terrible attitude. When we got the pizza and calzone home it wasn't even hot. The calzone was cold, the pizza was warm. The owner was not there. Not to mention that they made us a large calzone after ordering a small. They charged us for the large. They had young punks running the place tonight. Cooks with no gloves on while they were cooking. Teenage girls with short shorts on. If they wanted a summer job at a restaurant work at McDonald's. Not to mention they have a huge hole in the side screen door leading into the kitchen so animals can get in there and make nest. The board of health should investigate them. I am a regular customer. Not no more. I hope everyone who reads this will follow my example and go to a different pizza place. Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant.... After receiving their menu in the mail, the menu sounded different from most options in my area and I thought my family and I would give it a go for my family's "Pizza Friday" day. After much deliberation between the awesome pizza choices, we chose the barnyard pizza and potato skin pizza with a loaded bacon ranch fry. After driving from Plainfield all the way to Putnam to give this place a whirl, I arrived with a line out the door and every single person waiting extremely irritated. All of their orders were either wrong, missing, or had been waiting an additional 30 minutes from the time in which they were told by staff when calling in an order. I patiently waited my turn to get to the pickup cashout and could see into the kitchen where all staff was preparing food with BARE HANDS and moving at what looked like drug induced zombie speed. I should have just said screw it to the order and left after seeing this, but had already driven up to Putnam and waited in line forever for my food and had my family patiently waiting at home. WELL, after telling the girl what we ordered she goes searching for it for what seemed to be an extensive amount of time and finally after 5 minutes of scavenging through the kitchen which is literally the size of a closet, comes back with our pizzas and fry. I drive home and put the pizzas and fry on the table for my family, the pizza is dry, no cheese sauce for the potato skin pizza coupled with over cooked fries, and the barnyard missing cheese and had only a small handful of meat on the entire large pizza. We tried to make the best of it as we had waited so long between driving up, waiting, and back home, but the pizza was absolutely lousy. After eating but a couple bites of one slice, the family gave up and ordered from our local go-to pizzeria (Gus' Pizzeria, best pizza, wings and food in general in the local area). So, save yourself the aggravation as this pizza place has a long way to go to be considered "decent". read more

Today we went to Slice of Heaven on Woodstock Avenue and ordered a large pizza with chicken, pepperoni and hamburger along with a large quesadilla (with chicken). We ordered take out, was told about 25 minutes until ready, I got there on time and had to wait an additional 10 minutes. Was handed everything in a bag and left, however on my way home I realized I did not have one of the dishes I ordered, therefore I had to go back to get it. The woman at the counter apologized and said it was because they were really busy (so busy that not one other person was in the building). Anyway, we get home, I'd say food is average/below average depending on what you order. Meat lovers pizza seemed to have not enough cheese and sauce, it was sort of like eating only pizza dough and the meat toppings. Taco salad I would not recommend, for the sole fact that they don't give tortilla chips or a taco shell/boat, instead they give you this dried up tortilla, I ended up just throwing that out as it was in separate baggie. Buffalo wings were standard. Pasta with meatballs was also standard, frozen meatballs not homemade, a bit plain in my opinion. We probably won't be back. I will also add parking is limited as it's on street parking, and if you do go, don't trust them to make sure everything you ordered is in your to-go bag. read more

A two way combo is $14 and a mushroom pizza is $14 they charged me $18 and change and when I told this to the owner who was there at the time it happened, he just made like he did not understand...It should have been a $14 pizza .We have been coming here for the two years we have lived in Putnam and I told him this .(I have seen him here many times and have talked to him so he knows I am a regular customer) He did not care that I was not happy about this. First ordered the spinach pie that was disgusting and I have been craving for it for so long. then ordered the pizza meat lovers and boy was I shocked. The pizza at Slice of Heaven in Putnam, CT is awesome!! It is a step up from the pizza at the restaurant that formerly occupied this location (Zoe's Pizza & Seafood). I am a connoisseur of Hawaiian pizza, and Slice of Heaven has the best Hawaiian pizza with cherries I've ever had, hands down. They also have excellent sausage (a little spicy) & mushroom pizza. This place is mainly takeout/delivery, and they deliver to parts of Woodstock, which is rare. This is now my go-to pizza source--good crispy/chewy dough, tasty sauce, cooked so that the cheese gets a litte bit brown--they make a near-perfect pizza!! read more
