I really like the area in which this place is located. Clean, a pleasant view of the stores nearby, happier people, relaxed environment and some tasty places to try out! I went inside Slice only to find that there are only 4 stools to sit on and 2 of them were already occupied. This place is TINY! My fat ass took half the space while inside. Okay maybe not half but a quarter! When you come in, there is a showcase of different pizza's you can choose from to get a slice or you can buy a whole pizza of 16, 20 or 28 inches. Each slice derives from a 20 inch pizza I believe which is pretty big. I decided to get a slice of "The Shore Pizza" and a slice of "Crab Dip Pizza". I thought I saw the Crab Dip Pizza slice to be $5.95 and thought "wow, that's cheap! :D" but the woman said it was $9.95... :( Guess I read the price wrong lol. It's definitely a more realistic price considering how BIG the slice was. When you see a shopping center like this place, you have to expect prices to be higher. Their rent is probably off the roof so they have to adapt accordingly. Can you blame them? Nope. Is their pizza worth it? In my opinion, yes. I went inside the car and decided to try a bite of each. I took a bite off of the Crab Dip slice first and WHOA! It was hot and the cheese felt perfect in my mouth. Slightly melting and at the same time slightly chewy goodness of orgasmic pleasurable euphoria amazing divinity of sinful delight, if that makes any sense. No? Exactly. You could definitely taste the crab in the pizza, however, you can't feel the texture of it when you're chewing the piece you bit off. But even if the crab wasn't there, that pizza was outstanding! It might be a bit rich for some of you but I loved it. I ate about half the slice before moving on to the Shore Pizza slice. The Crab Dip Pizza being 10 bucks is worth it. To those who can't eat a lot, this slice alone is your meal plus more. To someone like me that CAN eat a lot, this slice is big enough to satisfy or even get ya full! The Shore Pizza looked really good. I love Chicken and it looked like it had a lot of spices on it so I decided to get a slice. Upon biting onto this fantastic slice, I noticed there was Bleu Cheese on it. I'm not a big fan of Bleu Cheese but this slice was so good that the Bleu Cheese was more of an afterthought, aftertaste. I have no problem ordering overpriced pizza if it's good and Slice did not disappoint. It was hot, the vegetables were fresh, and the cheese was delish. The actual slice is huge. They load the toppings on the pizza so you won't feel cheated. Do not expect to sit down on busy nights, instead take your box, and sit outside by the fountain. I can't say that this place will be a 'go-to' pizza place for me, but they do have unique combinations of pizza for meat eaters, such as mac and cheese, BBQ chicken and Gyro! I loved the atmosphere and how quick and convenient everything was. You walk in the menu is huge on the walls so that you can see anything you may like to order. There were also gorgeous pizzas on display. On the menus there were dessert options, sandwiches, sides and of course pizza toppings. I walked in and ordered my white pizza with added spinach, green peppers, and mushrooms. While my guy got the loaded fry pizza which had tons of bacon and cheeses yummy . My pizza was good, and the slices were pretty huge. It had a thin crust but the veggies were just placed on top while I was going for them to be a little more cooked. The place has some interesting types of pizza. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt since they have so many kinds of pizza, and I only tried two. The pepperoni slice was decent. I wouldn't call it "New York Style" but it was pretty good compared other pizza places in the area. However, the crab dip pizza, I didn't really enjoy. Don't get me wrong, the crab dip portion tasted good. If I had some soft pretzels and dipped it in the crab dip, I would have enjoyed it. It just didn't work as a pizza. This is a new pizza shop that opened up in the Avenue at White Marsh. They sell very big single slices of pre-made pizzas, most of which are original concoctions or just the old school Pepperoni. These aren't your typical sized slices, each comes from a 20 inch Pizza so one or two could fill you up. They also sell Funnel cakes and bottled drinks. Of all things I wouldn't expect Funnel cake on the menu. They are really small so not really worth the money, but they are tasty, you can order a single or a double. Don't expect to sit and enjoy your slice here its a very small storefront and only three seats at a tiny end table so these slices are meant to go. Each slice is a bit under 5 bucks but get 1 or two or a dessert and a drink you are already at $12 and if you want a whole pizza to go for you and your friends you can have that too. But it will cost you quite a bit as each full pizza will be about $24 Taste wise the crust is very crispy, the Slice was warm, not too hot or too cold. Lots of Pepperoni and/or other toppings and the crust is not thick nor thin, Definitely one of the better pizzas I've had in the area, but not knock down amazing. The staff is friendly but most of the time they are distracted and it takes a bit to get their attention. If you are in a rush and starving this might be your place. It's very decent and worth a try. Excellent customer service! The fries were good w/ some sort of seasoning that reminded me of old bay. I had a slice of the hangover pizza which consisted of bbq sauce, caramelized onions, fried chicken, and bacon. It was delicious but I could've done without the onions. It also comes with ranch dressing which I was glad I got on the side because having both bbq and ranch sauces at the same time was a little bit much for me. My family will be loyal to this pizza shop forever!!!! Their food is nothing short of spectacular and their staff is amazing. I have actually had the pleasure of speaking to a few employees and it is so obvious everyone there is such a genuine hard worker. My pizza of choice is the spinacotta just because the flavors are so rich and they never fail to give such a generous amount of toppings. But I'm currently working my way through the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Ordered a few slices before going to see "Justice League" at the AMC right next door and was disappointed that the place was not bigger to accommodate tables and chairs. Ordered a slice of cheese, a slice of the Crab Dip and a slice of Buffalo Chicken. The cheese was perfect, not too much sauce or too much cheese. The Buffalo Chicken was good as well, but order the ranch sauce on the side. Overpriced and mediocre. Paid $6 for a slice that had meatballs as toppings and the crust is so thin that it just falls apart. Dough seems underdone and has zero crisp. The pizza on display in the case looks as if it's been there awhile and there's no warming in the case to keep it at a safe temperature. Even after they run it in the oven after you order, it's still cold and soggy. I've had better pizza that was $1 a slice. I hate leaving bad reviews of places but I paid $18 for two slices and 2 drinks and it was pure disappointment. I think maybe why it's soggy is because they use so much sauce. I'd chalk it up as a bad day for them, but I see other reviewers with the same issues. Disappointed....first, the pizza of just ok...the sauce and cheese ratio was off..I got the "Godfather" pizza which is a lot of meat so it was like eating meat on pizza dough. Second, the salad. I asked for a Caesar salad, they gave me a garden salad with mushrooms...I HATE MUSHROOMS...it was a waste cuz I had to throw the whole thing out bcuz of the mushrooms. I love pizza! and pretty much con'd my way to going to a pizza place since the wifey is rarely in the mood for pizza. I am in sheer disappointment with the quality of the pizza here. Not only did I end up in the bathroom that night, but it affected my wife too which brought me to the conclusion that it had to have been this place. I do not like giving negative feedback, but when you overhear a worker ask if the pizza looks ok to another worker... you only get the feeling that something is wrong and whether you will be in for the ride of your life in the bathroom. Boy am I glad I discovered Slice! I do business in White Marsh and every time I am in the area I make sure to stop by and grab a "slice" (get it?) It seems like all pizza options now are just from chains and even the better ones, like Ledo and Squisito, cannot compare to a locally owned one store shop like Slice. You can tell these guys really care about their pizza and putting out a great product. Toppings and ingredients always taste fresh and the sauce is perfect. Crust is soft and pillowy like any classic new york style slice should be. I would recommend getting a pepperoni and a buffalo chicken slice. Pepperoni has the right spiciness to it and the buffalo chicken has a solid kick as well. If you are in the area, definitely be sure to check it out! read more
