This is my first time trying this place as I wanted a steak and cheese and Google said this place would be the best place in my area. I got there at 11 so right as they opened. I had to ask if they were open as the two guys in the front were both on their phones while I was standing there. No one said anything to me or greater me. I ordered a large cheese pizza for the kids and the steak and cheese for me with everything on it. The pizza was fine according to my kids. But they charged me $15.49 when it should have been $13.99 as I picked up in store The cheese steak was a 3 out of 5. Although I like the bread they use, homemade and fresh I didn't like the steak meat it was over seasoned and they are pretty heavy handed with the hots. I would not go back or recommend. I did love this place in the past as they had really good pizza & subs!! Also they would have coupons for cheaper pizzas which was great !! But then one day I went in to pick up a pizza & the guy took my order, took my money & was touching several things then dug his hand in the cheese & started making the pizza!! I finally got to try this place after hearing about it numerous time. I got the chicken steak sub and an order of fries. The sub was good and meaty. The bread it was on was crunchy yet soft. When I come back to Maryland I end up eating a lot of three things; crabs (obviously), bagels, and pizza. Those are things that the West Coast just falls short on. On this trip I was looking forward to enjoying them again but my pizza experience simply didn't excite. The Pizza Connection is an unasuming little joint in a strip mall next to a gas station that is a little hard to find if you're coming soutbound on York Rd. I called my order in directly (if you order online Grubhub gets a cut) and it was ready when I got there. The pizza itself was, unfortunately, a pretty good West Coast pizza. The meat was tasty, the cheese was plentiful, and it had the right amount of gooey greasiness. Sadly, the crust failed the major crust test, it was too limp to fold and hold its shape. Everything I've had from the pizza, to the Italian sub, and cheese fries have been outstanding. The owners are very friendly and consistent with their food. This is by-far my favorite pizza around. Something about their cheese just makes it wonderful (pretty sure they add provolone to the blend). Also, best subs around. A little on the small side, but the bread is made from pizza dough and is amazing. I will warn you that they put a lot if cheese on their pizza, so you probably don't want to order extra cheese. Even for someone like me who loves cheese, it's too much. Also, their service is typical foreigners who are rude and not very attentive. I deal with it because I just love their food, but I can tell you that when I had a problem (was delivered with all cheese and toppings shifted to one side), they made zero effort to correct it whatsoever. It's okay. I don't see what the hype is. Prices are reasonable, but outside of that... nothing special. It's better than the big chains, but barely. I ordered a meat lovers style pizza. The toppings were okay, but my main issue was the sauce. It would have been cool if I could actually taste it. Other than that everything else was mediocre at best. Every time we order from here our order is wrong. It is unbelievable how many times they have delivered the wrong food. They also take forever to deliver it. They have never once given us a discount or anything free for the inconvenience of them taking forever to deliver the food or when delivering it forgetting someone's meal or getting it wrong. Ok, there are few pizza places worthy of 5 stars. But any place I can get a premium cheese steak on home baked bread with lots of meat and perfectly cooked to order has my 100% support. Perfectly cooked with well done fried onions. Perfect size of 8". I also ordered some onion rings and wouldn't you know, these batter dipped beauties were perfectly cooked as well. I had my first order delivered to the house. It took a little while and I was concerned that the order would have cooled down but I was wrong again. It came hot, fresh and perfect like it just came out of the oven. I bit into the sandwich and it was too hot! Now I have not ordered anything other than this sandwich twice. First and foremost, in my opinion, they have THE best cheesesteaks. The bread is freshly made there, I believe, and the ingredients are fresh. So, last night after 7 pm, we decided to give pizza a try for the first time. We ordered a large half cheese/half pepperoni and a large meat pizza with peppers and onions. The first thing we noticed when putting the pizzas in the car was the strong smell of the cheese, which is a smell we hadn't experienced before with other pizzerias. When we got home, I tasted a slice of cheese and it had a strong cheese taste and was very salty. Then, we all tried the meat pizza and noticed that it did not taste right as well and was also very salty. My oldest son, who usually devours pizza, took a bite and couldn't finish the rest. Since I felt it was late, and was exhausted, I waited until this morning to call them and let them know about my experience. Instead of being understanding, the person I spoke to said something to the effect of, "why didn't I call last night?" kind of alluding that what I was saying wasn't valid because, if it was that bad, I wouldn't have waited until the next day to call and complain. He also said something like, he just opens the bag of cheese and puts it on the pizza, like if the cheese was bad, oh, well, it's not their fault. He also ended by saying that they sell more pizza than anything. To say the least, his attitude was very off-putting and I wasted $31 and change. read more

I love trying new pizza places but there's always a little hesitation about trying a new delivery place. In the old days you just had to cross your fingers and hope it would be good. Now I've got Yelp to help me find good places and easily place an order from the app. We thought the pizza from Pizza Connection was quite good. I ordered a thin crust pizza and being that it's from Maryland I wasn't surprised that it was *really* thin crust. I normally don't eat pizza crust (hi Nick S!) but with this type of pizza I always do. I would order this pizza again without hesitation. The delivery service was also quite efficient. We got our food way earlier than the time estimate I was given. The one thing I thought was incredibly odd was that they listed one item as "Chicken Salad Served over our garden salad" and what we given was some chopped up chicken pieces on top of a salad. I have ordered pizza from Pizza Connection since they opened many years ago. It is excellent. I will not, however, return. Customers are not required to wear masks, and the pick up space is very small so you are close to other customers. I go for the pizza, I've never tried anything else! Hard to describe why it's my favorite but everything just works for me. The crust is thick, the sauce is flavorful and the cheese has the right saltiness. Plus they use plenty of cheese which I really like, no need to ask for any extra. They are fairly quick with orders and prices are reasonable compared to other places who charge in excess of $18 for a pie. Although recently the price went up a dollar because of food costs rising. This store is Malaysian family owned and the entire extended clan works there! They depend heavily on the young daughter who probably works 70 hours a week. No money is spent on the inside, it's petty run down and they clearly focus on carryout. However one concerning issue is a lack of public restrooms and sink for washing hands. Since they have several tables for dine in option, they are required by Baltimore County code to provide a restroom to patrons for washing hands. When I pressed one of the family members about using the restroom in the back of the kitchen he said no. When I informed him of the code and their violation which could shut them down if inspected, he finally let me wash my hands at the sink directly behind the counter. I'm not sure how this place has managed to get a license without a public bathroom. In order to go without a public bathroom in Baltimore County the establishment must be carryout only WITHOUT a single table. I suspect when they initially opened they either had no tables or they told the County that the public could use the bathroom inside the kitchen area. I don't think cleanliness is a priority for the staff and I've never seen anyone washing their hands, even after handling money or coming in the back door. It's straight to the pizza station for the hand tossed pie without gloves. Sometimes it's better to just receive your food then to watch them make it!!! read more

Finally found a place that can accomodate everyone on our "Pizza and Movie Night". We ordered pizza and it was delicious and we didn't wait and hour and a half for delivery. After two good orders, we figured we'd check out their western fries and fried mozzerella. The fries were awesome, I highly recommend them, and the mozzerella cheese was gooey and hadn't leaked out of the fried part. Most places deliver empty shells that used to have cheese in them. So I finally gave in and decided to order myself a cheese steak sub meal. It was perfect. They use a different kind of bread, a flat bread, and it was absolutely awesome. Solid pizza. I've only gotten individual slices of pepperoni or pepperoni & sausage but they have a great 2 slice + fountain drink deal for $5. It's not extravagant, artisan style pizza, its typical round thinner crust pizza but it tastes great especially the cheese which is better than generic, tasteless cheese at chains.
