This place is a hidden gem along the Tacoma waterfront. Tucked around the side of the glass museum, with beautiful views of the Dome, Glass fountain, and the marina. The food was fantastic! If you're looking for a homemade, delicious sandwich that's worth twice what they're charging, this is the place. YOU MUST GET A SLICE OF CAKE!! They sell cake by the slice and macarons from two different women owned small businesses. Yay women! We got the Brown Pecan Cold Brew, Raspberry Italian soda, chicken à la vodka sammy, Linos sammy, pasta salad, pickle potato salad, and a slice of blackberry lime cake. Both the side salads were delish and you can tell they're homemade. Tons of dill in the pickle potato salad, super yum! The cold brew was the best cold brew I've ever had in all of Washington. I am not a black coffee person, when I tell you I could've drank the cold brew straight up, no pecan foam, this is a damn good cold brew (but also make sure to get The Brown Pecan cold brew because The Brown Pecan is a mother daughter duo from Tacoma and they deserve the world ). The sandwiches are so good, you could probably close your eyes and point to a sandwich and it'd be the best you've ever had. Now the cake... Let me tell you, my mother is not a dessert person. She rarely takes more than one bite, unless it's an affogato (her fav)... She almost ate the entire slice of cake! Not only that, she then ordered another slice of the same cake to take home. I'm telling you: get the damn cake. The staff is wonderful, the location is wonderful, the food is the best you'll ever have. You are doing yourself a disservice not visiting this place. Sliced Sandwiches is located in Downtown Tacoma, right by the Museum of Glass. They recently opened in 2026, which is exciting for the Tacoma area! The inside is spacious and leads right into the Museum of Glass, if you are just passing through. The employees working on Sunday morning were super friendly and cheerful. It felt very welcoming having them conversate with us about the menu because not everyone does at. We initially only wanted to order sandwiches, but Sliced Sandwiches also serves cake slices and macarons from The Cake and Rabbit Cake Shop. We saw there was a Strawberry Matcha cake and had to order a slice. We ordered the Chicken à La Vodka sandwich, but it was split in half which was perfect for sharing. The bread was toasted and crunchy. The chicken was hot and not dry. I LOVED the cheese in the sandwich. I ordered the Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte, and my sister ordered the Matcha Lemonade. The drinks were good, but not the best. The Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte was a bit on the sour side because of the strawberries, but it wasn't bad. When I walked through the door with my buddy after walking through the Tacoma Glass Museum, I could tell by the wonderful aroma of grilled steak that I was going to enjoy Sliced. We both ordered the the cheese steak sandwiches with grilled Ribeye and they kindly made mine without onions. Getting there was easy, too and it's fully ADA accessible with an elevator from the garage. We just drove into the parking lot and hoped on the elevator to the main level. The staff was welcoming and happy to answer questions. And the food was top notch all the way. I even like the way they wrapped our sandwiches. There were so many sandwiches to choose from that looked yummy. I'll be back for more and maybe even visit the Glass Museum next time. Parking is easy if you use the museum of glass garage. It's 2.00 for an hour and the restaurant gives you 2.00 off your food. First, it's not cheap. 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks and a cake slice was about 70.00. However, it was good. We knew cat and rabbit cake from puyallup so that's a no brainer. The sandwiches were good. The chopped beef one was worth it. Also got the Italian one. That was good flavor but the bread wasn't as toasted as I would like. They weren't super busy when we first arrived but business picked up. The seating area I can imagine could get particularly warm on a sunny summer day. We ordered at the counter. It's definitely a bit on the spendy side for a sandwich. For a Philip and a side of Potato Salad it came to $26.50. The sandwich was okay, the bread was a bit difficult to bite through for me. For me, sandwich needed something like peppers or some heat to give it more of a flavor. The potato salad was pretty good, I don't know about $6 good but we're here to try things. Food and service is great at this little cafe inside the entrance to the Glass Museum. Was very busy today due to the special event but line went fast and food and drink came out pretty quickly. Anthony sandwich is like a Bahn Mi and has pretty authentic Asian flavors. Broc 'n Roll was very good too. We drove down from Renton and were so excited to check this place out. When we arrived, they said they were completely out of chicken. That took away most of the menu. We moved to the area a year ago from NYC so we were pretty excited for a sandwich shop to open. Having been to Slice three times now, my honest review is overpriced and underwhelming. The sandwiches seem interesting but they read as under seasoned and bland. The bread is always great, but everything else lacks flavor. The price point is also crazy. Today I spent $18.00 for the meatball special which consisted of 3 small flavorless kinda burnt meat balls for $18.00. G&R deli in the Bronx (a Bronx staple) only charges $17.00 for their meatball "ice cream" cone and it is much higher quality with more meat. Local delis across the Manhattan/NYC rarely charge over $12-15. Finally, Kats deli is more expensive but only by a small amount and the ingredients are higher quality with legit flavor in an iconic location. Would I go back, probably not. read more

Tried Sliced for the first time today and overall I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. I placed a phone order at 11:12 AM for a ham and cheese, The Lino, and a pasta salad. One thing I found a little odd was that I wasn't given a total over the phone. I was just asked for my payment information, so I didn't know what I was charged until I checked my bank app. I was told the order would be ready in 15 minutes, which worked perfectly since I work about 10 to 12 minutes away. When I arrived, though, none of the food was ready. I was told the owner had to run out to get bread for The Lino. It took about 7 minutes for the owner to return, and then another 10 minutes before my food was ready. For someone with a full hour lunch break, that might not be a big deal. I work in the Port of Tacoma and don't have that kind of time, so that was a little frustrating. As for the food, The Lino was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. Everything on that sandwich worked really well and I'd definitely order it again. The ham and cheese was not for me. It appeared to have truffle on it, which I personally do not like at all. I went back to the website to double-check the description, but I couldn't find that sandwich listed anymore. For me, that one was a 2 out of 5. The pasta salad was okay, probably a 3 out of 5. It was missing tomato, and there were only very small amounts of cheese and salami. The Lino is what kept this experience at 3 stars. I may come back and try something else, but I'm still on the fence. Overall, for the price, I don't know that the value is there. read more

I only got the 1/2 sandwich and it was still very filling. Meat was tender, briny, and juicy like it should be. If only adding swiss or gruyere cheese was an option, would have made it elite level. What we got was an extremely disappointing excuse of a sandwich. The corned beef was sliced way too thick (think slabs) and most of it was so fatty and chewy..it was hard to eat. The worst part was the bread. It was probably Franz and not an artisan loaf. So soft and thin with the wide slabs of corned beef..it didn't stand a chance ! What a soggy, fatty mess. I went for lunch today and got the rosemary Italian, dilly potato salad and asparagus pea salad. 10/10 for all three. Absolutely delicious. My three year old son loved them too.
