Great crawfish! $4.50 lb on Wednesdays and $5 per lb regularly. These crawfish were so juicy, and the flavors were intense. Thank you Steve!

Hands down THE FRESHEST seafood I've EVER had in my 38 years of existence! End story! My BFF has lived in Louisiana for her entire adult life. She now raises her beautiful family with her husband in Slidell, LA and said if I wana bring seafood back home to Michigan with me- DUH which I did!, this was the place to get it from. Hot damn was she right! Just another reason for me to love this lady! Slidell Seafood is legit the freshest- BEST seafood I've ever had in my entire life. It's fresh off the boat that morning for you to purchase and cook as you please. If you don't wana do the work, like me, you can purchase already boiled. I went in around 5pm on a Thursday and Steve the owner welcomed me with a Huge smile, and we exchanged greetings- I knew I was in a cool place! He said, let me guess you want crawfish. I laughed and said yah. My "accent" gave me away. I had called earlier and inquired about prices. Apparently Michiganders have an "accents". We both smiled and chuckled, and got down to business- crawfish business that is. 10 pounds of boiled crawfish were coming back to Michigan with me. 1,088 miles, over 2 days back to MI so I could help my father cross something off of his bucket list. Steve, told me how to package and travel safely with this precious cargo. I paid the man and had the pleasure of shaking his hand. I thanked him and told him I'll seen him I'm about a year. He wished me safe travels and said, see you soon! I was glowing when I got in my truck- my husband asked "that good huh??" The crawfish??? Haven't you seen the pictures??? They were amazing that evening when I got back to my BFFs house and I ate about pound of them! I had to resist from eating anyone for fear I wouldn't have any to take home. They were hot and fresh outa the boiler. The seasoning was spot on! Spicy, but no so spicy that you can't feel your lips by the time you're done eating. They were HUGE too- but still super sweet and tender! You could also get the claw meat out too- which is sweet and delicious. I packed them just like Steve told me too, and they made it safely to MI. My dad was in his glory. I've eaten them for the last 3 days. Delicious every time. I have about 1.5lbs left that I'm saving for tomorrow. I'm nearly in tears that after that, they're all gone. BEST CRAWFISH EVER!! Not to mention, at a great price! 10lbs cost me $30. Steve, keep the fresh Louisiana seafood coming! 5 Stars and a Huge recommendation!!

Initially, the hostess told us they couldn't accommodate our party, but then they changed their mind. The interaction felt uncomfortable, as she emphasized their policies for large groups and mentioned that they normally require a minimum of $145 per person. She ultimately allowed us to bypass that requirement as long as everyone ordered an entrée. Our waitress, however, was wonderful and provided excellent service throughout the meal. I ordered the clam and mussel pot, which I found surprisingly bland, though the bread was delicious. The rest of my group seemed to enjoy their meals much more than I did. Unfortunately, there were also some cleanliness concerns. A spider descended from the ceiling onto our table during dinner, and another bug crawled across the table. There was even a bug zapper in the corner of the restaurant that seemed to be going off constantly throughout our meal. For a party of seven, our bill came to around $700. Given the overall experience, the food quality, and the atmosphere, it felt a bit underwhelming for the price.

Completely unexpected just a few miles from Camp Bowie. Reservations recommended. Came with a group and snagged half a dozen seats at the bar. Started with cocktails. Everyone was pleased. Heavy pours. Austin prices. Totally worth it. You know you are in the presence of culinary excellence when the menu is limited to less than a dozen items. Crab cakes. That is all. Order it. Eat it. Move along. Korean fried chicken is the bomb ! Get it. No regrets. As is the wedge. Pick a steak. Order it medium rare. It's truly that good. And, apparently, even if you aren't a fan of mac&chz - you can (and should) get it with seafood, steak, or that f'n delicious Korean fried chicken. Just get it to go and arm wrestle your 9 year old for it tomorrow. Poor kid is going hungry... Exceptional service. Owner is welcoming and awesome. Bar manager is awesome. Ambiance is awesome. Every morsel of food was prepared to perfection. I can't wait to return.

Lemme tell ya... they still got it!! Everything I tried was delicious. We loved it so much we visited twice in the same weekend. The steakhouse is known for their salad bar and their unique croutons, both all you can eat. The croutons are something I've only ever had there. They're crispy and so flavorful and so different from your normal square crouton. You have to try them. While we were there we had steak, chicken fried steak, baked potatoes, jalapeño poppers... you seriously can't go wrong. The jalapeno poppers were a new menu item but they might have been my favorite(other than the croutons). The ribeyes were on special when we visited and they were great, good size, great flavor, and cooked perfectly. Honestly every dish we ordered was fantastic and now I'm looking for an excuse to head out to Brownwood again! As much as I enjoyed the food, the staff was even better. They were so nice and helpful, and they made great suggestions for us to try. The restaurant was very clean and there were plenty of spaces to sit for parties of various sizes. Thank you all for a fantastic dining experience.

The prices were reasonable.
