Right so to start this off. Slim chicken you basically ruined my day. I woke up this morning and everything was fine a bit cold but dooable. I was in work and I said everyone I would like to try slim chicken and everyone said McDonald's not slim chicken. Me using my charm we all ordered slim chicken. And oh my god never have I been so wrong in my life. My order was missing a few, well let's say ALL OF MY CHIPS!!! Even my toast. My chicken was definitely slim because it looked like the chicken before it was killed had been on a no carb diet. And do you want to know the worst part of all is. Ordered from their League City Branch last night - first time. I repeated the order twice at the speaker, repeated it again at the window. When the order was delivered I asked "is it correct?" He said yes. Well it was wrong. The sauce I paid extra for was not in the bag. It's not hard. There were only 3 things to get right - the chicken, the coleslaw and the sauce. Chicken was really good, Coleslaw was very soggy, not just a lot of dressing but the cabbage was really soft - like it was old. At this point not sure if I would give them another chance or not considering it was sub par and not inexpensive. They are newly opened but they need to get the basics down, otherwise I'm afraid they wont be around very long. read more

Okay that review is for the food. I had heard raving reviews about this restaurant for years and finally decided to try it. I guess I thought it would be better, but the highlight was the okra. The chicken had no taste and I just didn't care for plain breading on it. The service I would give 5 stars! I placed a mobile order and my food was brought out within a minute! I love Slim's so much but this location was pretty disappointing. To-go hungry plate took FOREVER. Had about 10 French fries. The Slim's in little rock is always so hot and fresh tasting and ours was barely warm. Sauce containers were poorly filled, they were like covered in sauce and messy. Great place for what it is which is a casual better than average fast food place. Atmosphere is good and music is great since it is good ole blues. Not really a healthy place, but doesnt try to be. My personal favorite is the jalapeno smoky cheddar wrap which i spike with the inferno habanero based sauce as a side in addition to the sweet mild sauce on it. This place has the BEST old fashioned fried peach pie in town since brannans went away. Staff are very friendly. Booths are roomy. Fries are very good, but substitute their potato salad at no charge which is an awesome bacony sour cream style rather than mustard based. read more

Excellent food, large location, easy access, nice outdoor seating area, was packed but still good. Could do better with customer service. Recommend the chicks plate, one of the sandwiches, or the wings and things if you're very hungry. Also get slims sauce, save the other sauces for an average day. read more

Their service has went way downhill since last time I visited them. They no longer take the Entertainment book coupon and will try to embarrass you if you didn't know. The staff are also very unfriendly and don't seem to care if you are happy, just that they get your money. It also seems that their prices have went up somewhat. An good alternative to this restaurant might be the Chicken Express or the Zaxby's across town. read more

Wow...well what can i say super wannabe raising canes definitely doesnt touch the quality of canes. Slim chickens is a knockoff of canes, comes with chicken toast and frys with your choice of sauce. Now the frys were so bad i had to spit them out, the toast was literally bread with butter and i can Make toast at home way better. The chicken was.....ok i guess but once agian canes dominates flavor and canes sauce is stupid awesome, slims sauce was...eeeeeewwww nasty. Overall price was way more expensive! Got traditional mild wings and they were great. Hubbub got a chic. Wrap fries and drink meal. Mine didn't come with a meal bit they gave me fries anyway. Good with ranch sauce. The chicken seems pretty good but who can tell? They give a free Cajun chicken sandwich with an app download. Why the hell they picked this...I have NO idea!!! I love chicken and some Cajun season but this was absurd. It was so hot I couldn't taste the chicken! Why pick a Cajun sandwich in the first place??? Only 30% of people like something this spicy. If your trying to show people what you have, start with your chicken!!! Why do I even need to say this? Slim Chickens is a regional chain that models itself after other chicken strip specialty-places that have gone before it: Zaxby's, Guthries, etc. The strips are quite a bit meatier than most and have a good taste. You get a choice of sauce with each five strips (i.e. order 20 strips, and you get four sauces). The cayenne ranch is my favorite, but the honey mustard and barbeque are good as well. They have the usual drink fare, in addition to sweet and unsweet tea, and a couple of flavored teas. The decor is a rural, screen-door, type of place. They seem to have a blues motif going on, right down to the logo that is reminiscent of Stevie Ray Vaughn. They're open until 11:00pm. read more

I've patronized here twice. Each time I go here I order the 3 chicken tenders and 3 mild chicken wings. Unfortunately the wings are always dry and I don't feel the costs of the food here equals the quality of food. read more

I came into this location, a few weeks back. I was in a hurry. Just got a simple 10 dollar or so plate. Some tenders with fries and toast. I waited for 20 minutes until going up front to check on my TO GO order. One of the managers looks at me, turns around. Fumbles through some scattered tickets by the printer. Then looks in the back and asks the cook if it's almost done. The cook didn't know what she was talking about. She then tells him what plate I had and to make it right away. I wait another 10 minutes or so. No "I'm sorry", or some sort of acknowledgment to the fact I waited almost 40 minutes for my food. I honestly should have just got my money back and left. I wasn't going to die without my chicken. But Jesus Christ. They have one job. I've worked at chicken Express and we atleast let our guests know they might have to wait for some fresh chicken or rolls. Lol Next time I go here I'd better get my stuf on time. read more

If we want take out this is usually top on our list. They have really good wings and it's the only wing place in town that has a drive-thru which is super convenient. We usually the the 10 wing plate or the 5 and 5 and it's a HUGE meal. Great prices for the amount of food you get. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat. read more

I don't know how this place has decent reviews. We love their chicken, but the service literally makes us not want to eat here. We've been on & off again regulars for 3 years, but after tonight I'm not sure we'll continue. My husband sat at the speaker waiting for 15/20 min, just to order ONE large macaroni & cheese. The speaker is impossible to hear & they inevitably always get something wrong. Just not worth it anymore. Last time they completely mixed up our sides, (which is the usual) and the girl working the drive-thru didn't put the cap on our gallon of sweet tea which spilled everywhere. The parking lot is a nightmare trying to maneuver through if you're going through the drive-thru. You literally have to sit in the parking lot while people who are dining in are trying to back in and out, & if the line is long they can't back out or get in. Don't bother trying to complain when they mess your order up, they look at you like you just asked them to harness the power of the sun. Sheesh, just go somewhere else. read more

Terrible. Chicken is super greasy and soggy. So are the fries. Not crispy at all. The meals are bundled so you automatically have to pay for a drink, which is ridiculous. Overpriced for what you get. I'd much rather spend my money elsewhere. read more

This slims is ALWAYS so slow. I've never waited less than 15 minutes for nothing more than a chicks plate. Tonight I waited for 20 minutes at the window and the Chicken tenders and fries were cold and soggy and the "toast" was a piece of bread NOT toasted just thrown in.
