    Shrimp po'boy Mac n cheese

This shrimp po'boy & Mac n cheese was delicious. I am glad I came here today. Nice & cool inside. Cute decorations. It was actually way better than the poboy I had recently in Lafayette. The ladies had some strange innergy however Skip was a kind presence. Cashier wouldn't smile back at me but was very extra grateful to the male guests telling them "Ty my great sirs" I feel that is important to point out.

I was in the mood for some fried catfish and some delicious sides and that's exactly what I got! This place deserves all of the stars! Their customer service was great! I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. It took me a minute to review their menu because they offer so many delicious options! Once I was sure of what I wanted, I ordered at the counter and it didn't take very long for them to prepare my order to go. Once your order is ready, they open the container in front of you so that you can see what you ordered and confirm it's correct. They then give you your container and let you bag it yourself with all of the condiments you could think of. The dining area is small and cozy and very clean! I ordered the fried catfish & two sides. I had the mac n cheese and greens. All of it was delicious! The fish was fried fresh and seasoned really well. The mac n cheese was cheesy and had a great flavor. The greens were also very delicious. It tasted like it was cooked with some type of turkey neck or something really good! I'm so fat full now and I can't wait to visit them again and try something else on their menu.

Turkey necks. Cabbage. Mac n cheese. All very good.

I found this on yelp, the 5 stars intrigued me. I pulled up and met Mr Skip. A very funny guy, who aided me through picking something good to eat. Customer service is spot on. The cornbread was fluffy, so light and buttery and melts in your mouth. The turkey necks were really good. Cabbage and Mac were solid. I will definitely be back to get something different. The specials change daily and they also have standing menu items. I plan on returning soon. This was a really good dinner. The inside is very clean and it seems like this place is fairly new. Or renovated. It's nicely setup inside.

This has become my go-to place to take friend visiting from out of town. This place is what starts their trip off with 5 stars. The food is phenomenal. The service is personable. The aesthetic is cute and homey. I found this place on Yelp (of course) and the high rating instantly drew me in. It is so rare to find a place with a 4.9 rating with more than a handful of reviews so I had to try this place. The last time I went, I had the smothered porkchops with cornbread dressing and mac and cheese. The porkchops were so tender that I could cut through them with a fork, snd they were so flavorful that the didn't need to be drowned in gravy! My first bite of the cornbread dressing transported me back to my childhood like the food critic in Ratatouille. The mac in cheese was heavenly. Ir came with a square of cornbread that was buttery and sweet, just the way I love my cornbread to be. When I placed my order at the counter, the gentleman manning the front if the house informed me that the porkchops weren't quite ready. I told him I was fine with waiting and the wait was worth it! This place has good, down-home food cooked with care and consideration. It's a winner.

Ordered the Seafood creole gumbo & a fried ribs plate for takeout. Each item was delicious and fresh. I haven't been going out to eat because so many restaurants have been mediocre to say the least or the only seasoning they know is salt. Glad I saw this place and finally decided to oder lunch. I didn't get their names but the customer service was warm and welcoming. I felt like I and my food was in good hands. They had the cake parfaits sitting on the counter and I couldn't resist. The woman behind the register made sure to let me know they also had homemade banana pudding when I considered the banana pudding parfait. That'll be a treat for my next visit. I look forward to returning.

I came back again cz I was in the area for work lol I'm glad I don't live close to this place cz I would be here every week lmao had the smoked turkey which they only have on Sundays and man oh man.... Delicious would be an understatement. U cannot go wrong with this place.

It was a $18 meal. Tiny portion of battered fries spread thinly across the plate -- about a small portion at Mickey D's equivalent. I have to vent a bit on the tipping demand placed on patrons who are not actually being serviced tableside. Your cashier was super, sweet and helpful about the food, so I felt obliged to tip, though ringing someone up is not tip-worthy. I'm tired of supplementing business owners who expect their patrons to tend to themselves, doing the bare minimum, while their customers subsidize their labor expenses. The pretzel appetizers came after the main courses, the servings were tiny and the pretzels were stale, like they'd been microwaved. The gouda sauce was lovely, and my friend enjoyed her grits & shrimp. Another at our table actually left their fries, (his burger was also cooked incorrectly) and the other pulled half the coleslaw topping off his fried chicken strips and left it behind. Just way overpriced for what you get.

Instead, it is about the way we were treated by the hospitality manager, Kryssalyn Bayne. Our party consisted of five people, including a 97-year-old senior citizen. When we arrived, four of the five members of our party were present, and there were no guests waiting to be seated. However, Ms. Bayne was focused solely on the fact that one member of our party had not yet arrived. She informed us that other guests had been seated because they had called ahead, although this option had never been communicated to us during any of our previous visits. What was most concerning was not the seating policy itself, but the manner in which we were treated. Ms. Bayne's demeanor was loud, confrontational, and, in our opinion, disrespectful. We had all just come from church and were simply trying to understand the restaurant's policy. When I politely suggested that she lower her voice, she responded by accusing me of speaking disrespectfully to her staff, despite the fact that I had not spoken to anyone other than her. Grace's has always been known for its hospitality, which made this experience especially disappointing. I believe the front-of-house staff, and particularly those in leadership positions, would benefit from additional training in customer service, de-escalation, and professional communication. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of the circumstances. Unfortunately, this interaction overshadowed what should have been a pleasant meal and family gathering. We were seated at Table 14 & served by Mr Lewis who was a breath of fresh air. The food was good despite the entry.

I opted for the high top right by the kitchen, and honestly, great choice -- it smelled amazing. Most people prefer not to sit by the kitchen with all the foot traffic but I didn't mind it at all. Nobie's is a house that's been transformed into a restaurant. One of the bartenders told me it's a 104-year-old house, and the whole place has very "house party" vibes in the best way. The music is LOUD. And it gets progressively louder as the night goes on, so if that's not your vibe, keep that in mind. But I was very into it. Lil Flip was playing when I walked in and it took me back to high school house parties. On shuffle were more throwbacks and classics: Ludacris and "Notorious Thugs" by Biggie. The chairs, however, were not my favorite. They're low-backed and kind of cage-like, with only a thin cushion, so they aren't exactly the most comfortable for a long meal. Started with a cocktail: the Remolacha del Corazón -- beet tequila, mezcal, watermelon (house-made syrup), lime and a tajín rim. You can hardly taste the mezcal, which I'm assuming is the point. I like mezcal so it would have been nice to taste it but the beet tequila is definitely the star, with the watermelon and lime adding a nice balance. Appetizer: Don't Worry, Brie Happy ($18). Brie, local honey, smoked grapes, toast. There was basically no local honey on my plate, but those smoked grapes?! They're topped with flaky salt while they're still hot and OMG!! The combination of warm, smoky, sweet and salty was fantastic. My only complaint was the amount of toast. There was a little too much toast for the amount of brie and grapes, so the ratios felt slightly off. Main course: Jamón With Your Bad Self ($45). Ibérico secreto pork steak, tonnato, shaved Brussels sprouts, salsa verde and almonds. I'm particular about pork, so I was taking a bit of a chance here, but this dish sounded too interesting to pass up. The pork steak was cooked perfectly and had some wonderfully crispy pieces around the edges. The tonnato underneath the pork was really good. It almost reminded me of a Caesar dressing and added this rich, savory element to the dish. The shaved Brussels sprouts were great, too, especially with the almonds and Parmesan. Everything worked really well together. Dessert: Olive Oil Cake. A house staple, and for good reason. A lovely way to end the meal. Overall, Nobie's has a really fun, unpretentious energy. Between the old-house setting, loud music and memorable dishes, it feels like somewhere you go to hang out as much as you go to eat. Just know what you're getting into with the volume and the seating -- this is not exactly a quiet, polished fine-dining experience, and that's kind of the charm.

It quite literally took 10 minutes to be seated. The staff were pretty nice, they smile when they speak, courteous as well. The music playing was loud, but nothing i couldn't hear my girlfriend over. We still maintained a good conversation and tone level without yelling over. We were greeted by our waiter pretty quickly after being seated, she took our drink order. We both ordered mimosa flights which came with pineapple, watermelon, peach, and raspberry. We liked the mimosas a lot. The waiter came back after about 10minutes to take our order, she made a couple of table stops before getting back to us. We ordered the Billionaires Bacon; a thick-cut applewood smoked bacon with yuzu, honey, brown sugar chili rub, and 24k gold. This was very good but it tasted like thick cut bacon with syrup on it. I also ordered the Banana Split French Toast; a caramelized banana, berried, mascarpone in a waffle cone, i think a caramel sauce with powdered sugar and syrup on the side.. very good, will be my go to every time i go back. I also ordered the breakfast burrito with a side of avocado. That had chorizo, bacon, cheese, hash browns, onions, peppers, beans, eggs, and salsa on the side. The burrito was pretty big and filling. I only ate half but it was good. A normal breakfast burrito if i do say so myself. My girlfriend ordered the 'Basic AF'; two eggs, smashed potatoes, mini pancakes, and maple chicken sausage. She said it was very good. The maple chicken sausage and the pancakes were the star of her show. Overall, great experience for first timers. I attached all pictures as well.
