    Cheese Burger
    Mike C.

Hi all...I'm back and ready to tell you about P. Terry's Burger Stand. I must say it's pretty good for fast food. Just basic burgers, chicken sandwiches etc. The cheese burger is quite small...about the size of the WB Jr but great price. They offer several options to customize the burger which is nice. I'll give the burger 4 stars and I'd order it again but probably a double next time. Let me say everything tasted VERY fresh...first bite and FRESH was my first thought. Now the fries....5 STARS! Best fast food fries I've ever had by a very long shot. Fresh cut and you can order them regular or crispy. The order is very large so you could share...but they are so good you probably won't! I ordered a strawberry lemonade and it was very good and refreshing. They offer quite a few unique beverage options including the Arnold Palmer! The service is very friendly and quick. And the prices are very low. My entire order was $8.89! Give them a try soon!

Feels like I saw 10 of these when I was in Austin a few months ago. There was one every couple of minutes like a Starbucks or McDonald's lol. I was excited to see one here in Houston. For so many weeks everytime I passed after work the line was crazy long. I decided to finally give them a try since it was less crowded this night. I had the double (after reading the reviews I knew the single wouldn't fill me) and added bacon and jalapeños. It was very tasty, bacon cooked well and the Pattie's had flavors. I also tried the chicken bites, fries and strawberry shake. The fries were a bit oily but overall everything was good.

Drive-thru and order at the stand only. Saw a few people having to reverse because they don't know how to read the giant arrows on the concrete ground and then reversing onto the island. No picnic tables outside so you're going to either eat it somewhere else like your car or on top of your car and throwing your trash elsewhere. A girl drove past by as I was setting on top of the trunk to eat outside in the dark while a couple in a Tesla by Outback restaurant was starring at me, so HERE YOU GO GIRL! My review for you. Original guy was quite pleasant taking my order but the girl who gave me my order was just meh. I don't expect much from a stand-by location. For how decent size it look on the outside, their kitchen/prepping area is quite small. You can basically see all the workers being packed like sardines. They're originally from Austin and I don't know why I've never tried it there. Lemonade is alright. The kids in my community make better lemonade for $0.25 a cup plus the gazillion percentage of tip to them. Pretty good pricing, especially for the size (it's not giant but decent) and for angus burgers. If you like soggy fries like from In-and-Out then you will like their fries. I'm more of a crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, type of fries girl. By the way, even though their burgers are similar, it's not. They don't have the same sauce. I would say, McDonald's Big Mac sauce is closer, if not, identical to In-and-Out sauce. Overall, not bad for the pricing and what you get. If I'm in a jammed and want something relevantly quick and cheap, I probably would stop by here. I should have asked what type of oil they use because I had a weird after-taste.

I love a good burger! P. Terry's offers good burgers at a fairly decent price. I also love that they open late.

Great alternative if you don't live near In n Out. Menu is super easy to read and order from. Definitely get the double cheese burger ! The drive through line tend to get busy at random times, so expect a wait. Burger was filling for only $5-6. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in the Aliana area of town!

    Bug found on lettuce.

Found a roach inside the lettuce wrapped burger. They refunded my card, but does that make it ok?

Everything is always great here. I also changed my usual breakfast item to egg sausage burger with extra egg. It comes out to only $4.49, so you can't beat that.

We decided to try the new P Terrys in the neighborhood. We tried a regular Double Cheeseburger & a Crispy Chicken Sandwich. The burger was tasty, good flavor. The improvement is the lettuce that isn't properly cut for the burger. The Chicken sandwich was heavy and packy. It had a good taste, but the texture was off and once again the lettuce is cut wrong leading the top half of the sandwich to slide off (see pic) The fries were mid

Happy to see them expanding this chain to other cities. I've visited several times in Austin. Basic bacon cheeseburger was good, patties super thin! I would try again, next time maybe a double meat!

Burger was awful. Only good thing was the price, but again, you get what you pay for. Take out service was okay.

It is known for its chicken salad, and as a big chicken salad fan... I honestly didn't think it lived up to the hype. Sorry. It was good but it didn't blow me away as the best chicken salad I've ever had. Nonetheless, I had it with my "Ann's Plate" which is a scoop of chicken salad, fruit salad, and a cup of soup. Its just enough food to get you full, but light enough to not make you FEEL too full. However, that cold avocado soup-- wasn't great. I wanted to like it because it was 100 degrees out and figured on a hot day, it would be cool and refreshing. I think that was the idea behind it but the execution wasn't there. Service-wise, no problems there. The staff is friendly and works really hard, since this place is pretty busy and popular at all times of the day, at seems! Definitely a neighborhood favorite and the locals love it.

It was self seating but the way the rooms are split up, we weren't 100% sure where we were allowed to sit and no one was in the front greeting anyone as they come in so you couldn't really ask questions unless you go to the bar first which was located towards the back. The tables were all dirty so we picked the least dirty table which still had crumbs all over it but we just tried to wipe them away as best as we could. The customers who came in after us picked the table next to us which was dirty as well but their server went and wiped it down for them which was nice. Our server was kind and answered all of our questions and we did inform her it was our first time so she suggested a few appetizers and we started with French Onion Dip. It was TO DIE FOR! The tortilla chips it comes with were perfectly crisped and salted and it hit all the right flavors. The food? Oh my word. The servings are MASSIVE. My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak with a side of onion rings and it did not disappoint! I ordered the chicken Cobb salad with a side of their Brussel sprouts. The chicken Cobb salad came with two small scoops of chicken salad and it was so light and refreshing and nothing like any other chicken salad I've ever had! Our server brought me a little bit of Parmesan cheese to top off the Brussel sprouts with and it was so good. All in all, the food was a hit! I wish I remembered to try the broccoli and cheese soup so we will be back in the future. Definitely recommend. We don't understand how Sandy McGee's only has a 3.7 rating after trying this spot out!

She took our drink orders, food orders and then everything seemed to fall apart. She returned several times, but mentioned that she was tied up handling several large drink orders and that was the last we saw of her. The food was delivered by other servers. As you can see, the fried catfish fillets were burnt on the outside, but the fish was undercooked inside and had raw (uncooked) portions inside. Not a pleasant surprise. We later learned that Lexus had left for the day and we were left on our own, so to speak. No drink refills for the nearly three hours we were there. Finally, we had to get up and find someone to help us and get our checks. When I was able to pay I requested a receipt, which I never received. Lastly, when we were leaving, someone was mopping the walkway and left puddles of water in the walk, which posed a slip hazard for our group of elderly individuals. When we told a server about the water in the walkway, she told us that she knew it was wet, because she just mopped it. Not an answer you want to hear. All in all, a very unimpressive experience.
