I couldn't decide between wings or tenders so I got some of each. Wings were the honey barbeque variety. A side salad and peach fried pie rounded out my meal which was a late one after getting of the plane. It definitely was filling and it hit the spot. I go to the original slims in Fayetteville often and I must say this location in LR is up to par. I go here about once a week and I have not been let down by the food quality yet. I always get fresh hot food and the service is top notch. Would certainty recommend to others. read more

There is a lot to like about Slim Chickens. The food is made fresh, the sauces are homemade, and it's hard not to please people with chicken. I had the 5 & 5 platter which came with 5 chicken fingers, 5 wings, fries, and toast. The wings were the best part as they were dipped in honey BBQ. Best wings I've had in a while...they were fresh, hot, saucy, and not overcooked. Chicken tenders were ok and the fries were good. I had 3 sauces to dip - cayenne ranch, spicy BBQ, and Slims sauce. The spicy BBQ was the best in my opinion and the cayenne ranch was good too. There were 2 things that really disappointed me about Slims. The Slims sauce was very bland compared to Zax Sauce or Cane's Sauce from Raising Cane's. It needed more bite to it. The other thing was the sweet tea. They have sweet, unsweet, peach, and raspberry. I had the sweet and it tasted too much like peach which I do not like. I told the counter about it and they said they would make a fresh brew in moment. I was still in the place 15 minutes after that and I did not see the tea changed out. Service was great except for that. read more

I love slim chickens, but this location is awful. Stopped in and got the 5 and 5 meal and another 6 strips. The strips were cold and tasted like the chicken had went bad. The wings were equally bad and how you can mess up fries is beyond me but the managed it. I would recommend going to Backyard Burgers across the street before you stop at this location. read more

This chicken is so tender and juicy that just writing this review makes me hungry for Slim Chickens again. I always get the tenders and dip them in their delicious BBQ sauce. I've eaten there more times than I can count and have never received poor quality food or service. They are bit pricy but it's worth it. It's nothing like fast food chicken. read more

My Husband is addicted to Slims! Chicken strips are almost never dry & never chewy! Flavor is wonderful! Potato salad is the "more" awesome than Whole Hogs, even though it comes from the same company! Fried mushrooms & pickles are boob! Mac n Cheese is ok to good, for eating out M'n'C! Liked the wings! Staff at this location are as wonderful as reported in most of the other reviews. Way better than those fried chicken big boys, like KFC, Churches & Popeyes! Healthier too, I'm thinking! read more

The food is always on point, even large orders. Partially catered a holiday party and every piece was perfect. My go to is the grilled chicken blue salad. The greens are always fresh. The driver immediately in front of me drove off without getting to the window. Once I paid, still waited 10 minutes for two 5 piece tenders. Thank goodness I didn't work that day. read more

Great food and service for fast food! I just got into town and was looking to grab a quick meal to take to the hotel but didn't want the normal fast food. I found Slim Chickens just down the road. The staff at the window was great! As I had arrived during a non-meal time, they informed me that my meal may take just a couple of minutes longer as they wanted to make sure my wings and tenders were fresh. A couple of minutes later I had a hot box of really good wings and tenders. Nice to know that there are places to get good, quick food from smiling, friendly people! read more

Stopped for lunch during road trip. Chicken strips were freshly cooked and not too bready. Seasoned well. The highlight of the meal was the chicken strips on top of a waffle drizzled with syrup. Fries were decent and bathrooms were clean but had no changing table for babies. The one thing that made this better than most fast food/QSR is that the service was exceptional. Cashier was friendly and very helpful. Food was priced very well for the quantity and quality of the product. Would stop and dine again. read more

The slim sauce is great. The tenders are great. The wings are great. I've yet to find something that I don't like.

Overall, the chicken tastes great. It was juicy and the breading was good. However the portions were so small. Three pieces were barely the size of a full chicken breast. To make up for it they give you a boatload of fries though so I guess that's cool. read more

So furious.. @slimchickens Shackleford...Me again, the guy who used to come in every week and buy $32 worth of chicken and always ask for it to be cooked fresh because I like it hot and juicy.. I guess you all really thought I was stupid today. when you told the cooks " he wants it all fresh" and 4 minutes later I get my food..I check it, yes its hot..3 minutes later driving home I bite into and realize it is super dry..yep I know what you did, twice fried chicken...why..why.. why do I have to beg you guys to do something right..does it kill you to drop a fresh order of wings..this is why I stopped coming up there..because you have lazy people who cannot seem to follow thru on a simple request. Every time I try to give you guys another chance you make me regret coming in .. This isn't a $2 hamburger, its $32 of chicken...how about a little respect to the customer. read more

This place is amazing. We have been 4 times and each time is just perfect. The chicken is juicy, tender, breaded perfectly and delicious. The fries and mushrooms are great, top! Would love to say how good this chicken is but unfortunately i can't. Three times i have tried to use the drive through to place my order on lunch. Three times i have pulled out frustrated because i don't have an hour to wait! They are so slow!!!!! You would think if an order is going to take 15 minutes they would ask the customer to pull up and then bring the food out to them. Was so bad today 2 cars in front of me drove off. I took their hint and drove off too. Straight to Chick Filet where they know how to run a drive through. Think today is my last attempt with them since this is definetely a pattern. read more

Visiting from out of town. Menu looked appealing especially the "dessert in a jar". Traditional wings were good. Boneless not so much. Cane's is way better. The "dessert in a jar"? Not sure how it was. They were out at 1:00 PM. Restaurant was messy. Maybe had the employee who was working the drive they not sat down in the dining room with her girlfriend 5 different times during the 45 minutes we were there and actually did some work the tables would have been cleaned.
