Went through the drive through on Wednesday to get the chicken and waffles which is discounted on Wednesday. Drive through was busy for a 10pm visit. Took about 10-12 minutes to get through it. Typically it costs above around $10.49 but it's discounted on Wednesdays only to $7.67 including tax. It also comes with a medium drink. I think the meal is a bargain. The chicken tenders are good. The waffle was a little disappointing. I like a crunch to my waffles and this one was soft. I suspect it was kept warm in some sort of steam table. The waffle was already cut up into 4 sections. Margarine and maple syrup was supplied. Overall for the discounted price, it was a good meal.

Food was great! I love all the sauce selection, my fav was the cayenne ranch. The manager was nice and helpful. Inside was clean and spacious.

Slim Chickens is a hit or miss spot. Sometimes when you go it's really good, sometimes it's meh. I prefer to dine in because the drive thru line usually takes forever whenever I visit. When you walk in, you order at the front counter and they will give you a table number if you are dining in. I've had their chicken wrap and wings. The wrap was missing something, maybe I just chose the wrong flavor so it didn't do it for me. The wings were pretty decent. I like their fries when they are freshly made. They have good tea for making an Arnold palmer. Depending on the staff you can have a clean space but if they are really busy they don't get to the clean up fast enough.

Hair that was on my food

To begin with I asked for sweat tea mix with lemonade and a sweet tea. And they gave me a coke and a sweet tea with breading crumbs in it. Then I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and they gave me fried. And to top it off I got a long probably females hair in my salad. Horrible experience don't recommend

Food: overall, it presents as if it will be enjoyable but their chicken sandwich was okay. The fries were awful (dry and taste of old oil/grease) Their hot wings were over cooked, just too hard to enjoy. Service: was okay, nothing to brag about but it was not terrible! Ambiance: is causal, clean and convenient.

Looks good but it was not. I even added an egg once I got home. But, still, no good once I started eating.

I have given them a fair chance. I tried different meals and all have let me down recently. I ordered a slim salad 2 days ago, got home and it was slimy. I called the store, spoke with the manager and was told they would replace it anytime during the week because they were now closed. Went back today to get the replacement and IT'S STILL ALL BAD. Today's salad was WARM, yes the lettuce was warm, the cucumbers looked translucent, the cheese was melted, croutons were soft. It was awful and to the trash it was fed. I do not even want to try again. Garbaged and will not be returning. If you enjoy warm salad, go for it.

Went here today to try this place out. First the good -- - wings not bad even after a 40 min wait in the drive thru - tenders are decent - sauce (hot/buffalo) decent The bad - 1. 40 min wait in the drive thru 2. Ordered the 5 tenders/5wings combo - got 4 tenders instead of 5 3. Fries cold 4. Diet Coke so flat not drinkable -- really?! This place needs a lot of work to succeed. There are WAY too many other chicken places around not to have to wait 40 mins for a less than mediocre $18+ meal. Unless they drastically improve, I don't think I will be be back.

I ordered the fried redfish served over Gouda grits with a Cajun crawfish sauce. This dish was EXCELLENT! The Gouda grits had a little bit of a kick to them and the crawfish sauce had an amazing flavor which made the whole thing an over the top flavorful dish. My husband ordered the pork chop and wasn't a fan. The pork chop was overcooked and dried out. While overcooked, the chop did have a nice smoked flavor. He quashed he had ordered the redfish because he loved the flavor of my dish, so we shared. He had fries and Mac n cheese with his dish and both were good. We loved the truffle fries dipped in ketchup. Something about the combination just works together. We finished the night off with their yummy bread pudding! Definitely save room for dessert because the bread pudding with caramel sauce is sooooo gooood!

I went in with high expectations as it seems to be the only fancy spot for a long distance around. Also, I was a fan of the previous restaurant in this building, Vinegar Jim's. The service was friendly and the drinks were surprisingly good, though their cocktail menu is primarily sweet beachy drinks which I don't prefer. We started with the BBQ shrimp and burnt ends plate, both of which were excellent. My girlfriend and brother both got the Debris Samich, which I liked but they did not as the bun was rather soggy. I thought it tasted good and was happy to treat it as a knife and fork sandwich. I had the 38-day dry aged prime ribeye- which was offered at a great price for the quality and the treatment of the meat. The center was cooked exactly how I ordered it, but around the outside the meat somehow appeared to be raw while simultaneously having a burnt crust on the outside. I was underwhelmed because even though most of the steak was great the burnt bits turned me off. We had a few desserts, and my favorite was the butter cake. They're definitely worth a try. Good food, good prices, and friendly service.

The long island was good. I ordered the Creamy Cajun Pasta. It is not as big as it looks in the pictures but it packs a ton of flavor. They seared the sausage on both sides and thinly sliced it. Everything about the dish was perfection. The apple cobbler was also very good. Be patient with this place because they will be out of certain menu items but the food you get will be wonderful.

The hostess seated my wife & I and our server Carter did N excellent job for us. The restaurant is large and well spaced out. It is also clean and the ambiance is a home type feel. We started with the Fried pickles cooked in fresh oil and came out hot. The country dip is good. Basically roast beef cut up and provolone melted cheese on top within a roll plus an au jou dipping sauce. It's chunkier than a normal French dip but it is good. Flavor wise, it was average and could have been seasoned a bit more. The beef is barely above the bland side as far as pot roast beef is concerned. However, combined together the components elevate the sandwich. It's worth the try to see if one would like it. French fries were good and freshly lightly salted. Cole slaw was basic. Not too creamy but also not sweet. My wife got the fettuccini Alfredo with grilled chicken. It was good and you will notice the grilled flavoring on the chicken. For me, the food could have benefited from a bit more seasoning but that is subjective. The sautéed squash was ok, with no flavor or seasoning really. I really enjoyed the green beans though. The macaroni and cheese wasn't that great at all, and the grilled catfish was decent. Now for the star of the show, the fried chicken. It was absolutely terrific! The thin and crispy batter and the juiciest meat! Yummy! We took home three desserts. Cobbler a la mode, banana pudding and bread pudding. The cobbler was great, the banana pudding was awesome, but the bread pudding wasn't that good. At the time I didn't know it was a chain , but I found out later. Sometimes that's not a bad thing though. I found the restaurant was decorated nicely and clean. My waitress was very nice and informative since I told her it was my first time here. I got a Half Rack of Ribs with Wet Sauce on one side and Dry Rub on the other side. Bbq Baked Beans , Cheese Grits , Rolls , and Sweet Tea. The Ribs were tender and good. They have 2 Bbq Sauces on the table and I asked the waitress if they have any others and she said yes , a Honey and a Smoky Spicy one. I asked for the Smoky Spicy to try. I liked the Dry Rub side better and with the Smoky Spicy Bbq Sauce on the Dry Rub was the Winner. The Wet Side was Original Bbq Sauce and it was kind of plain to me. They also had this on the table with a Hot Bbq Sauce that was more or less like Texas Pete / Louisiana Hot Sauce. The Bbq Baked Beans were really good. The waitress said they are the best in town and I would probably agree even though I haven't been to any other bbq place in the Memphis area. The Cheese Grits were okay. They used like a White Cheese I think. I love Grits , but they could've did a little better on these. The Rolls were like yeast rolls like Texas Roadhouse , but better , melt in your mouth and you don't even need to put any butter on them. Sweet Tea was just right , not too sweet or not enough sugar. They had a display of their desserts , which looked good , but I was too full to have any. There is also a Bar if you want to have a drink and some appetizers. A wall with lots of pictures of Celebrities who have dined at Corky's is on display. Elvis and Little Richard are sitting at a table above the dining area watching to see how you like the Bbq. They sell shirts and sauces if you want to take some home. The menu is pretty large , so lots of choices for you to try. There is also an upstairs area for dining. If I lived here or was visiting for a while I would come back and try more. I usually prefer a more Mom and Pop place , but this was very good , much better than the Bbq I've had in Oklahoma.
