I came across this place during a Door Dash craving for waffles. It was one of the first places that showed in the feed, so I decided to try their chicken and waffles. They actually had a logo for one of their meals there, so I tried it as well. I believe it was the Chick meal. I actually enjoyed all my food. I see they had a history of bad reviews, but I guess they are working towards improvement. With that said, there was one takeaway.... temperature. Now I tried this delivery and as a drive-through order. The fries come off like they aren't fresh tbh. They are seasoned really well, but they taste like they have been sitting out for a bit. I was disappointed the most when it came to doing the drive through order and still getting luke warm (leaning to cold) fries since i sat in the drive through (right at the window) for a few minutes before getting my bag. I assumed it had to be due to waiting on fries, but i guess it must have been for the waffle. I do appreciate the kindness of the server at the drive-through windows. My only suggestion is that they do better with the cook timing. I dine in, so I don't have any notes from a dine in experience. I'm just happy that the line wasn't long since I see it used to be that way per tge older reviews. read more

I went here this evening to grab something to eat. I specially ordered the 5 piece tenders tossed in the sweet chili sauce. Instead of them being tossed, they left me with un-sauced tenders and sweet chili sauce on the side.(1 small serving at that) I didn't even realize it until I got all the way home. However, they did make sure they charged me for the "sauced tenders" that were definitely not sauced. Will never go back here again. read more

My second visit...this time, I dined in. Pro: quick ordering and serving! Con: If you're elderly or have busy kids please use the drive thru IF you decide to visit. The floors feel like someone poured oil on the floor. I kept sliding everytime I walked. The dining area has a vast amount of seating. However finding a clean table and area was like finding a needle in a haystack. There was trash everywhere especially on the floor. The tables weren't clean. Ordered the grilled chicken salad...never again. The chicken was so salty, I could only eat about a third of my salad. Lastly, I wasn't shocked but received confirmation that I wasn't overreacting and can clearly see they didn't care about cleanliness. An employee was getting up from finishing her food. Her cookie broke as she stood. She took her foot and pushed it near the bottom of the booth with the rest of the trash. That was my confirmation! Went through the drive through on Wednesday to get the chicken and waffles which is discounted on Wednesday. Drive through was busy for a 10pm visit. Took about 10-12 minutes to get through it. Typically it costs above around $10.49 but it's discounted on Wednesdays only to $7.67 including tax. It also comes with a medium drink. I think the meal is a bargain. The chicken tenders are good. The waffle was a little disappointing. I like a crunch to my waffles and this one was soft. I suspect it was kept warm in some sort of steam table. The waffle was already cut up into 4 sections. Margarine and maple syrup was supplied. Overall for the discounted price, it was a good meal. read more

Luckily, the food tasted great. But the service was terrible. I sat in the drive thru for at least 15 minutes. The staff sounded happy, so that is great for them. But getting my food to me didn't seem to be their focus. I heard more personal conversations sitting at the window than any communication about the job itself. If I could leave no stars I would. I have been a regular for some time now. However recently I have been utterly disgusted with what I have seen. There is a huge roach infestation. They are crawling everywhere. The drink machine has mold all in it. And don't even get me started on the floors. I have witnessed an employee falling and have slipped several times myself. The floors are covered in either grease or oil but I just know it's not safe. It makes me very sad because this used to be one of my favorite spots but now I don't even want to go back. Slim Chickens is a hit or miss spot. Sometimes when you go it's really good, sometimes it's meh. I prefer to dine in because the drive thru line usually takes forever whenever I visit. When you walk in, you order at the front counter and they will give you a table number if you are dining in. I've had their chicken wrap and wings. The wrap was missing something, maybe I just chose the wrong flavor so it didn't do it for me. The wings were pretty decent. I like their fries when they are freshly made. They have good tea for making an Arnold palmer. Depending on the staff you can have a clean space but if they are really busy they don't get to the clean up fast enough. read more

I have given them a fair chance. I tried different meals and all have let me down recently. I ordered a slim salad 2 days ago, got home and it was slimy. I called the store, spoke with the manager and was told they would replace it anytime during the week because they were now closed. Went back today to get the replacement and IT'S STILL ALL BAD. Today's salad was WARM, yes the lettuce was warm, the cucumbers looked translucent, the cheese was melted, croutons were soft. It was awful and to the trash it was fed. This was our first visit to this chain after seeing the owners on FOX News. Although they said they didn't feel others were doing chicken right, I came away feeling they might review what is right while opening additional restaurants. Food was normal for chicken tenders and wings (3+3). Sauces are house made. Tenders were small but that seems to be the direction most chicken restaurants are taking including Chick-fil-a. Bee Gees in Albertville, AL is the exception to small chicken tenders and a great meal for a good price. The young lady who took our order was very helpful and patient. She was also doing the cleanup and many other jobs. The ambiance was great. The fries were good and seemed to be the main item they keyed in on when I took the survey for a brownie. I embarked on an Adventure call 10 for TEN. 1) It was an INSANE amount of delicious food! By the time I finished the tenders, I was out of tea, I had consumed some of the french fries, and still had (5) delicious wings to conquer. Oh, where do I start? Slim Chickens is an accurate description. I know there is a chicken wing shortage but they should have let these chickens get a little bigger. Either these chickens were on the keto diet or they were not fully developed. Anyway, I had the 5and5 combo. Mango habanero sauce on the wings, fried chicken strips, Slim Chickens sauce, cayenne ranch sauce, buttered toast, fries and lemonade. Overall the meal was like most chicken places. The strips were a good size. The cayenne sauce was good. The toast was buttered with "butter" and not 10w-40 like most restaurants. The rest was just OK. Went inside to eat here for the first time with my parents, my mom and I ordered two wraps and my dad ordered the chicken tenders. It took around 10+ mins for our food to come to our table, I was hangry so I wasnt too sure on the time aha. Our food came and as my mom and I were a quarter of a way into our wraps, there wasn't much chicken. 2 very skinny chicken tenders that were delicious but we want more meat! I love how much greens were in our wraps but more protein would be awesome. My dad also has skinny chicken tenders. Here is a dad joke for y'all: I know the place is called slim chickens, but I didn't expect actual slim chicken!!
