My daughter ordered the Mezzanine plate that had falafel, hummus, pita and a little bit of everything like dolmades. I asked her how she liked it and I looked at her plate and she ate everything. The chicken tenders were kid approved; they didn't have a noticeable spice or pepper seasoning to them. They were soft inside and crunchy (but not overly) on the outside. The kids' grilled cheese was massive but the bread was fluffy and soft so still easy enough for my 5 year old to take a big bite and the ratio of cheese to bread was perfection). I will say it seemed a bit dark inside and my 7 year old didn't dig the ranch (it did have a bit of a sharp garlic flavor to it, and it was very thick). I'd recommend here if you're searching for a kid friendly meal and want to find a good value. (We have 4 kids so we are always looking for restaurants where we don't get sticker shock on the kids' meals).

I asked to substitute or pay for onion rings on the burger in place of carmelized onions, and my brain didn't comprehend that I could order onion rings on the side and put them on myself. I was offered to have fried onions substituted and I said yes. There's several sauce options and I chose the bbq sauce, naturally. I also ordered garlic fries on the side. The burger itself is two beef patties that are each smashed, place on top of each other. I think each one has cheese on top, but I was too hungry to look for that before diving in. There's enough pickles to be in every bite, and it was glorious. The patty itself was seasoned, but I could only taste the seasoning in certain parts. I could still taste the seasoning with and without the bbq sauce, and it was yummy. Bbq sauce tasted like bbq sauce, it fit the bill 100%. If you're looking for a normal sized smash burger, ask for only one patty. I couldn't finish the whole burger and I can normally eat a whole smash burger to myself. My food was served probably in 15 mins. I also came in before a bigger lunch crowd so that probably helped. As for the atmosphere, I really appreciate the booths and tables. There's also arcade games near the back, with a clear glass so you can keep eyes on little ones while in the main restaurant. The bathroom was clean, although I wish there was a hook for my purse in the bathroom. It looks like there used to be one, but it got removed or broke off.

What is there not to love?! The beef was tender. Almost reminded me of a biscuit actually. I appreciated that it seemed to me not super over fried like typical ones. It almost made me wonder if it was at a lower temp or even air fry. Either way, I really liked that. They are not stingy with the toppings or portion size. Just before returning to I-580, In-N-Out sounded good for the journey back to Genoa. I often park at an In-N-Out and go inside to order as it seems faster. This time, I got in the dual (at first) car line and waited my turn. Time went quickly and I was back on the road soon enough. The Pink Lemonade was in the cup holder, and the fries were were easy to pick off while driving. The Double Double took a little more work, but the wrapping helped during the delicious road ahead.
