It was slathered in a korean style sauce. Traditional viet sandwiches typically use grilled meats without any sauces. The condiments. This is where both Twisted and traditional are similar and different. Shredded carrots, daikon radish, cilantro, mint leaves are similar. What's different is the heavy use of shiracha aioli in the Twisted and traditional using pork liver pâté with mayo. So am I saying the Twisted Bahn Mi is bad? No, just stating it is not the same as traditional Bahn Mi and better to know than to be surprised. Would I order it, no because I an used to traditional.
