I really love the food at this Roberto's. It is always made fresh and tasty. My favorites are the chicken taquitos, crispy, cheesy, yummy and the shredded beef burrito, moist, seasoned, cooked with bell peppers and onions. It is plentiful and delicious. read more

Me and my husband were doing a road trip and we made a stop, we ordered a California burrito. Went to the drive-through the service was really quick. We got sliced radishes and side of pickled carrots . overall everything was delicious and will be back again read more

This is probably the best Roberto's in the reno area. Their food and service is consistent with easy accessibility in the shopping center. They are always friendly no matter what time of day it is; 12 noon or 1030pm. Their beans do not taste like cleaning products as the other locations have which is a plus. I've only been there through the drive thru which is great when you have kids! The go to orders are the carne asada fries, always fresh and crispy. The bean and cheese burrito which is huge for about $5.50. Their pickled carrots and jalapeños are tasty and spicy! You can't go wrong with the California burrito, that is classic! Keep in mind this is fast food, so don't think that it's authentic but it still is good for quick eat! read more

First time visiting a Roberto's. I went through the drive thru (no cars in line) and waited at the speaker for a few minutes and no one helped me. So I drove out of the drive thru and parked so I could go in. There was only one customer there eating and about six employees working and prepping behind the counter. I stood at the counter for two minutes waiting to be helped before someone acknowledged me and took my order. I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito. The burrito was large and fully stuffed with bacon, eggs, potatoes and cheese but it had no flavor at all. Good thing I grabbed a few containers of salsa or else in would be almost completely flavorless. I still want to go back and try their food other than the breakfast burrito because I do hear they have good food. read more

Roberto's near where I live just opened last week (Today is June 26). So I have some errands to run in the shopping center...grocery, CVS, bank...the usual. So, I do what I always do and try to look up their menu online before I go, just to get the lay of the land. I was pushed immediately into an ordering tab that I could not get out of and had to manually go back to the home page. One strike against you already. I still have to go to the CVS, bank, and grocery. Do you think I am ready now? This is a bad start. I'll resume after my errands. Roberto's is a typical fast food place. It has the tile floors, the inexpensive tables and chairs. I've seen worse, and I've seen better (but then I've eaten at some pretty shady places in my lifetime...including Waffle House at 2:00 a.m. We shared a table with a father and adult daughter. I asked them, on a scale of 1-6, how would you rate this place? They said 5/6. Ok. Good! I asked my mother, on the scale of your two favorite Mexican restaurants and Taco Bell, how do you rate Roberto's? She said, "Much better than the Bell, not worthy to plan on, but if I happen to be going from here to there and am hungry. I'll stop." My rating, on a scale of 1-10 (my scale, my rules) is a solid 5.8. I had the Wednesday taco special, which was chicken. The chicken was a bit dry and under seasoned. What amazed me was the fried taco shells. But the salsa bar made up for it! They were $1.50 each, so I was expecting something small and ordered 4. They are HUGE! I took two home!!! This is not really a dine in place. I don't think they have an alcohol license. Think fast food, not mid or fine dining. Mom and I spent $11.00, and I took half of my food home. Food: delicious Service: disappointing Drive thru was closed (should have been the first red flag), order then took 44 minutes... for a bean and cheese burrito and a carne asada burrito. When I picked it up the guy just said "sorry about the wait" (I wonder if he had any idea how long it had been). Notable: my carne asada didn't have any beans in it (maybe that's how they make them here?) But, they are new. I'll give them another chance. Hopefully they'll iron out the kinks. read more

We went to this for the first time. We have gone to the one by the university. Didn't know South reno had one. We really liked it and the food was delicious. I got an asada burrito, and it's filled with meat and not just random filler. My husband got the fries, and it was piping, not. He loved it. We for sure will come back. We went right when lunch started, and it was packed. It was a random weekday. We didn't think it would be so busy. Everyone is friendly, and you may need to share tables as there is no outside seating. The place is small, due to the fact many come to eat there. I would recommend just ordering to go. Food wait wasn't bad. They had a lot of people, and it came out faster than other places I have been to. They have a sauce bar, so you can grab more as needed. Overall, rate the place 10 out of 10. Finally, have something yummy near our home. Parking is packed, so if you do want to come and sit in. Come a little before or after lunch hour I'm not sure about dinner. read more

The food is good, the people are nice, the quality of food is exactly what you would expect from a place like this. I will say since it's brand new it's absolutely got that new restaurant smell! I'm glad they opened a Roberto's closer to my house and considering that I went there on the second day they opened, the service was good. I normally go to the Roberto's on Virginia but, I had to try the new place. It was good. I went there during an off hour like around 3 PM. I went inside and there was no line. I've heard other complaints that the drive thru was horrible with a long line. There were cars in the drive thru but it didn't seem very long. Maybe it's long during the rush hour but everything is long during the lunch hour. I ordered my food with no wait and got my usual bean and cheese burrito and I chicken taco. The only complaint I would have was that they ran out of salsa/ hot sauce in their salsa bar. The guy at the counter went back to their refrigerator and got me some hot sauces. That's cool. I know they just opened and are still working out the bugs. The workers in the back looked like they were trying really hard to get the food orders out. Good job guys. I'd say the food was just as good as the other Roberto's on Virginia. read more

Not a fan of their burritos-- barely seasoned and while filled with chicken, it wasn't very tasty. The wrap around the building drive through was distracting and a lengthy wait. Probably will try it again but not drive through. read more

So we were so excited to try the new Roberto's taco shop on Steamboat Parkway. We got home and our 11.40 taco combination plate looks like $.99 tacos hardly any lettuce and wilted. . I asked for beans and beans no rice I got rice and beans, my taco shells were cracked apart. Very weak for the price. That's too bad because Robertos is one of our favorites. I understand that they are new. But the young gentleman looked at the plates. He took them back to the counter by the kitchen, looked at the plates and the manager knew there was something wrong and they sent it out anyway. I would Make sure I eat it in house so that I could correct that problem before I got home. Kind of disappointing for Robertos. we also ordered a Chile relleno and cheese enchilada and the cheese in the enchilada was not even melted even by the time we got home. I guess I'll stick to the taco night on Wednesday if that's what they're gonna look like. Normally I would've given Robertos higher stars for their food Very disappointed..!!! Rice and beans cost nothing. And I do understand there is overhead., but not a good start. Hardly any meat in the tacos. For 11.40 skimping on product will NOT grow your business. I was willing to look past some other reviews and give this place a try. We decided to order the beef tacos. The cashier told us it would be a 45 minute wait. So tried to order a couple of different items with same response. We end up ordering an enchilada and beef burrito. This still took 20 minutes The enchilada See the photo below it was just terrible and the shredded cheese was not even melted. The burrito was full of Ortega chiles and couldn't find much chicken. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results. I feel like that has been my experience with Roberto's. I always really WANT to like them, so I keep trying. One of my favorite things is just a totally basic cheese enchilada. Every time I order it, it's never heated through. So it's basically cold cheese wrapped in a cold tortilla. But one of my other nostalgic favorites is a bean tostada, and they offer a combo plate that has both of those. So I have ordered it several times and have been disappointed every time. It's definitely (for me, anyway) a to-go kind of place because the atmosphere is very much like a fast food joint. I usually order online (which is a very positive feature) so I can just grab and go. Will I try it again? Probably. But I think I'm done trying to give the enchiladas a chance. I'll have to try something else at some point. read more

I came in for a carnitas burrito and it was wrong. I asked if they could remedy this situation the answer was no. A 20 dollar burrito and they won't fix there mistake. You've lost a customer and will always let them know it's a crap shoot if your orders right. Honestly I'm so disappointed with this company. read more

It's a 24-hour Mexican place in south Reno. We've needed an all night restaurant, and now we have one! The chicken burrito is just that. Boiled shredded chicken wrapped inside a tortilla. No beans, no rice. No guacamole no sour cream. No cheese. Basic as it gets. So their style is a little different from every other burrito place on the planet. Still give it 4 stars. read more

Ok the place just open, most of the staff is new and they are learning the systems and ways of the business. The tacos were cooked perfectly and the chicken burrito was good, the chicken was cooked well and not over cooked. We steak Nachos and they were good. The staff was really nice and we got our food in about 14 minutes after ordering. The place is new give it a chance! read more

Roberto's is a decent restaurant. I've been to Roberto's 3 times, this being the first time at this location, and I always leave wishing I ate somewhere else because of the price. I got the shrimp burrito for $13 and the it was gross. It was a goopy mess on the inside and all the shrimps I pulled apart were not deveined. I know that it's perfectly safe to eat shrimp that aren't deveined, but I just personally can't get past it knowing it is the digestive track of the shrimp. My boyfriend got the California burrito and he said it was good, just a lot smaller at this location than the one on S. Virginia. We also ordered the chips and salsa and it was $8 for a handful of chips and barely any salsa. It wasn't really salsa either, it was more like pico de gallo. We also really wanted some sour cream and asked how much a small side of it would be and it was $3.40! Which is crazy to me that a small cup of sour cream costs as much as it would to make the meal a combo by adding rice and beans. I felt really bad but asked to get a refund on the burrito and chips since my burrito was not good and I felt like the price of the chips was not reflective of what I received. If you want chips from here it's totally not worth it, especially when you can go to other Mexican restaurants and get chips and salsa for free, bottomless too. By the way, we did not eat the chips we gave them back and threw away the burrito. We weren't just looking to get free stuff. Since there are a lot of people out there that complain just to get their meals for free, this was not the case. The staff were really nice and accommodating and gave us a refund for the chips and shrimp burrito. The wait time felt a little off because a couple that came in and ordered after us, and got more food, received their food before us. However, it wasn't that long of a wait. The restaurant was very clean too. Overall, I would recommend going to a different spot if you are craving Mexican food. There's better places in town that are a lot cheaper too. Our total was $34 for 2 burritos and a side of chips and salsa (no drinks either). Eating out is certainly expensive, but almost $40 for a fast food place for 2 is ridiculous. However, I've always been told to never eat at a place right when it opens and to wait a few months for them to get their feet under them. So if you really love Roberto's, the other location in town on S. Virginia is way better. read more

Was so excited to have a Roberto's in S. Reno. Ordered 3 different items on the menu today and they all tasted flavorless. More specifically, we ordered Carne Asada fries, Carne Asada nacho's and tacos. I am so sad to leave this review! But I leave this review in hopes that the team there will consider the way they are cooking and to taste the food that they are serving, to see what's missing, spices, etc. The added quacamole and pico made absolutely no difference to the items we ate, flavor wise. Unfortunately, it was unanimous by my family that we would not eat there again :( read more
