Stopped here through word-of-mouth. Looking forward to a fish fry, and they did not disappoint. The marble bread and clam chowder were phenomenal. They make a great tater sauce. The fish & fries were awesome! Full bar, and banquet room available for rental. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a return trip.

Baked onion soup was amazing! Could've used a bit more onions.

Food is so so. Service is great friendly but it's a tin can and bar barn. The atmosphere is country and local.

We have never been disappointed. The owner is so friendly and hardworking. Yes, the pace is a little slower during busy periods but the coffee is always warm and refills are abundant. For the amount of food you get, the prices are hands down the best in town. If you want trendy- maybe not the ideal spot for you, but if you want to feel like you're stopping at your mom's or grandmas house for good home cooking, this is the place.

As many have noted, the waitress, who I believe is a co-owner, is charmless. There is no warmth and you will no doubt be treated like an unpleasant intrusion as you are sullenly indicated a table and served. The menu is standard old-school cafe fare and I think one of the few appeals of this place is that breakfast is served all day which is a rarity in Antioch. They boast a sign that says "voted best hamburgers" but it doesn't state by whom: I assume it is a award they have given themselves and to be fair, the burgers are hand-formed and juicy. The burger and patty melt we ate was flavorful and I have to give them credit for it. They are also the cheapest place in town to eat which I think accounts for the loyal regulars that keep this place going because it ain't the ambiance or charm. Lowered expectations will be rewarded but under NO circumstances visit the bathrooms.

We came with a party of 8 on a perfect night to sit outside on their huge patio right on the water--the atmosphere cannot be beat! While the setting was great, the GF/allergy experience could use a little improvement. When I asked the server which drinks were gluten-free, she wasn't super knowledgeable, though she did make an effort to confirm the items for me. I ended up ordering a strawberry margarita. There also weren't any appetizer options that were both gluten-free and vegetarian, so I went straight to the entree. I ordered the BLT with mayo and cheddar cheese on a gluten-free bun. The server did clarify that they do not have a dedicated fryer for the fries, so I opted for a side of fruit instead to avoid cross-contamination. The food itself was really good--honestly, you couldn't even tell the bun was gluten-free! Overall, it's a beautiful spot with good food, but I really wish they had a dedicated fryer, more GF options, and the staff a bit more educated on cross-contamination and ingredients.

From the time I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess, who was very nice and same with the bartender Cary. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and is a great date place! The wedge salad was very good with their homemade dressing and same with the short rib pasta which was more than ample for two people. They only serve gelato, but the salted caramel gelato was hands down the best I've ever had! Cary made a fantastic French martini too! What also impressed me was the locals that were very friendly and made the evening even more enjoyable. If you are in the area, I would definitely stop by and have a fantastic meal, cocktail gelato like I did. This restaurant definitely earned their five stars!

It was hard to pick from the selection of craft cocktails, they all sounded exceptional. I went with the Moon Flower and it was delicious! Tito's, elderflower, violette, and lemon. Sadly we' had no room for desert. Very crowded on weekends and parking is a nightmare - we were near 1/2 mile down the road as there are No Mars Parking signs fronted on the lawns of residents. Can't blame them as this place is, as they say, an absolute gold mine. Located about 4 miles from Lake Geneva do include it in your plan; you'll be sorry if you don't!

It was a little confusing at first, since when we walked in, there were tables throughout the room. We weren't sure if we were supposed to sit down at one and be served or if they were just random tables where you could sit anywhere you want it. However, once we got our bearings around the event, we had a great time. We started shopping the makers market, which didn't have a lot of vendors, but had enough of different things to make it interesting. Then we had charcuterie cups filled with crackers, nuts, chocolate, fruit, salami, and cheese. A bit overpriced for what they were but glad to have something snackie. We also had a flight of mimosas, and finished off the day by making a beautiful Bouquet of fresh flowers. They did have pancake vendor as well. I didn't try it since I wanted a savory snack. I wish the food choices were advertised better. It was a small sheet of paper on a table. I didn't even know that the 3 additional food options existed until someone told me where I had to go to find this piece of paper. Other than that, it was a great time had by all in my group.
