Stopped here through word-of-mouth. Looking forward to a fish fry, and they did not disappoint. The marble bread and clam chowder were phenomenal. They make a great tater sauce. The fish & fries were awesome! Full bar, and banquet room available for rental. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a return trip.

Baked onion soup was amazing! Could've used a bit more onions.

Food is so so. Service is great friendly but it's a tin can and bar barn. The atmosphere is country and local.

We have never been disappointed. The owner is so friendly and hardworking. Yes, the pace is a little slower during busy periods but the coffee is always warm and refills are abundant. As many have noted, the waitress, who I believe is a co-owner, is charmless. There is no warmth and you will no doubt be treated like an unpleasant intrusion as you are sullenly indicated a table and served. The menu is standard old-school cafe fare and I think one of the few appeals of this place is that breakfast is served all day which is a rarity in Antioch. They boast a sign that says "voted best hamburgers" but it doesn't state by whom: I assume it is a award they have given themselves and to be fair, the burgers are hand-formed and juicy. The burger and patty melt we ate was flavorful and I have to give them credit for it. They are also the cheapest place in town to eat which I think accounts for the loyal regulars that keep this place going because it ain't the ambiance or charm. Lowered expectations will be rewarded but under NO circumstances visit the bathrooms.

We came with a party of 8 on a perfect night to sit outside on their huge patio right on the water--the atmosphere cannot be beat! While the setting was great, the GF/allergy experience could use a little improvement. When I asked the server which drinks were gluten-free, she wasn't super knowledgeable, though she did make an effort to confirm the items for me. I ended up ordering a strawberry margarita. There also weren't any appetizer options that were both gluten-free and vegetarian, so I went straight to the entree. I ordered the BLT with mayo and cheddar cheese on a gluten-free bun. The server did clarify that they do not have a dedicated fryer for the fries, so I opted for a side of fruit instead to avoid cross-contamination. The food itself was really good--honestly, you couldn't even tell the bun was gluten-free! Overall, it's a beautiful spot with good food, but I really wish they had a dedicated fryer, more GF options, and the staff a bit more educated on cross-contamination and ingredients.

However, once we got our bearings around the event, we had a great time. Then we had charcuterie cups filled with crackers, nuts, chocolate, fruit, salami, and cheese. A bit overpriced for what they were but glad to have something snackie. We also had a flight of mimosas, and finished off the day by making a beautiful Bouquet of fresh flowers. They did have pancake vendor as well. I didn't try it since I wanted a savory snack.
