Actually, this spot is centrally located, on the edge of Uptown and Five Points, right between City Park and the Central Business District. There's also a nice parking lot. I ordered the Supreme with tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and kalamata olives. I found it very average. I collected it promptly at the time specified, but the crust was very soggy and too droopy to pick up a slice. The toppings were OK, but nothing special. The amount of tomato sauce was a little light for my taste and it was very bland. The same with the cheese. I had heard good things about this place, but there is far superior pizza to be had in Denver these days. I was not impressed. The area is not well-lighted and it's kind of creepy at night. So is the building. The staff was friendly and they did bring me my takeout box promptly.

When we arrived, we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. They spent a lot of time painting the inside of the restaurant! We got a medium pizza split with half Supreme and half The Meats. Both of us stopped after our first bite and said ... Woah! That's tasty! Honestly, I just wanted pizza that was better than Domino's. I did not expect tasty pizza that was noteworthy delicious! Two of us ate the entire pizza! Awesome!

Cute little restaurant with fun local events, collaborations, and happy hour deals. It can get quite claustrophobic in the entryway during rush hour, but you can always order take out! From this location, we love the White Pizza with prosciutto and the bread and butter never fails! The bread is light and airy with the perfect crust. If you're into seafood, the Seafood Conserva is amazing- don't miss the happy hour deals on it!!

We were too late for the happy hour, but the prices for happy hour looked phenomenal. I'm not sure if I would have ended up here had I not been taking the bus; however, BSB was a solid spot nonetheless. Since we were here anyway, we figured we would grab dinner. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, the garlic nots, and a few slices. I love a place that does pizza by the slice, especially when it's just two people. They obviously have plenty of beer choices and a full bar, plus they did have one NA beer option (not brewed by them). The food was good. Service was spot on. The Brussels sprouts were probably the highlight. This certainly was not the best pizza I have ever had, but I found nothing to fault it for either. Pretty cool place to grab a drink and a slice. Certainly worth it if you're meeting the bus here, but could also be worth the visit if you're in the area and craving pizza.

We even tried their coconut seltzer and yum! I wish more would do coconut! The inside is nice and clean. It has many cool music memorabilia like CDs, pictures etc that we enjoyed looking at and talking about. They have a nice beer garden in the back with plenty of seating and a small stage. We sat inside though due to it being hot and sunny the day we were there. They also have a small case of to go cans. Their tanks are also to the side so you can see their brewing process while you have a beer! I also saw signs for fun events like bus to red rocks concerts, trivia and live music. Their pizza also looked delicious, but we had just eaten so didnt try it. I would definitely return to Black Shirt!

The inside of the restaurant had a mid-century modern feel that reminded me of my childhood home. After sitting down and reviewing the menu, my friends decided on the frozen rosé, while I stuck with a Coke since I was driving. The soda hit the spot, but my friends found the frozen rosé a bit bitter and weren't fans. For starters, we highly recommend the garlic bread and pepperoni rolls. The sauces served with them tasted fresh and were packed with flavor. After appetizers, we ordered three pizzas and a Caesar salad. The restaurant got busier after we sat down, and our food took a little over 30 minutes to arrive. When the pizzas finally came out, they were absolutely worth the wait. They were visually appealing, and we couldn't wait to dive in. I ordered the veggie pizza, and it was so good. Our friends got the White Tiger pizza and added prosciutto, while my husband ordered the mushroom pizza with added sausage. It took us a few years to finally try Joy, but I can confidently say they make an awesome pizza in a relaxed, chill atmosphere.

There is apparently a patio, though we stayed in. My first time, I had a salad, which was decent, but it needed something. I mean, it IS a pizza place - so probably not the best choice. My co-workers got the jalapeno pizza (or something like that - a spicy pizza) - they all raved about it. My second time I did not fail and got the mushroom pizza. I don't remember the actual name, but it was definitely delicious. And again, service was friendly and attentive. I am a fan.
