In late 2023 I began experiencing discomfort on the palate side of my gums and decided to wait a short time until my cleaning visit in January 2024 to have it looked at. The hygienist I had was pleasant to work with but, recently, has shown that she did not use good judgement. After looking at my issue, she had no idea what the problem was and left me with the impression that there was nothing to worry about and that it should clear up on its own in time. She not only did not have any idea of what was going on, she also did not feel it important enough to consult with or ask Dr. Malesra to spend a minute to look at it. My next visit was in July when the doctor would examine me. The discomfort had not gone away. Upon examination, he said that I probably at some point had a food particle, such as a popcorn husk, stuck under my gum causing irritation, but he did not find anything. He then advised that I try rinsing my mouth with 3% hydrogen peroxide three times per day and get back to him in a few weeks. After that he gave me a prescription for Chlorhexidine. Both did nothing. A few weeks later Dr. Malesra took an X-ray and said I might have gingivitis, recommending I see a periodontist. I went to the periodontist that he recommended. That ended up being a big mistake and a total waste of $115. I will spare you those details except to say that he mentioned that the x-rays Dr. Malesra's office sent to him were dark, blurry and unusable and had to take one of his own. Being totally unsatisfied at the point, I chose to see a different periodontist, one that my wife had seen. The difference between the two were like night and day. He, too, thought the x-rays were bad and had to take one of his own. He performed a complete checkup, took photographs of what he suspected and, after some time, did a biopsy as there were white bumps that proved to be Leukoplakia, a problem that could possibly end up being oral cancer. More time will have to pass to determine if this is the case. The point here, though, is that had the hygienist done her job and had Dr. Malesra look at me in January instead of having to wait 6 months, what may end up being cancer could have been caught six months sooner and most likely better treated! On a Tuesday, I tried calling Dr. Malesra and spoke with a receptionist to set up a time to speak with him to discuss my feelings. I was told he was at lunch and she would have him return my call. It took three days before I finally received a call from the office manager wanting to know what the issue is. I told her I wanted to speak directly with the doctor and she said she was told to speak with me instead. I could not speak with the doctor. I feel any small business owner who refuses to speak with an upset customer directly is a coward and a very poor businessman and should not run a business. To sum it up, in my opinion, it appears both the hygienist and Dr. Malesra are only adequate in their basic job functions, and when there is an issue outside of normal cleaning or pulling a tooth, they are not of much value. I recommend looking elsewhere if you are looking for a great dental practice. Both my wife and I have left the practice with no regrets!

The main dentist reprimanded a tech right outside my door and it was very unprofessional. Day of extraction appt, after 3 hours late for my appt, i asked if was going to be soon if not I had no issue rescheduling. Told will be in a few minutes. Another hour goes by and i go back to desk this time to just reschedule when said oh no she is coming to get you right now. Once in room waiting on surgeon and he and his assistant come in laughing but in a more sexual way, thought that was odd. I said i was ok to reschedule seeing as he seemed to be running so far behind. at this comment he was not happy, i said if running that late maybe ask desk to let people know and they could come back later. He got more upset at that and said " things happen" Honestly i think the thing was an adventure with the tech. After he was done and i was waking up, he rudely said i even left you impacted wisdom tooth in. "how is that". I was too out of it to even catch on before he left the room. Next on to 1st set of teeth which not going to say much about as too swollen to have any idea on fit. went back a few more times to adjust never fit good for more than couple hours before hurt again. Everytime they made my next set of dentures they used WAY too much of the goo and it made me gag. once time i started to choke and had to spit out the set and they got mad they had to start again. I asked many times not to put so much in, but never listened. Most times I was there it was like the dentists were more interested in extra curricle activities than my needs. I never did get a pair of good bottom dentures to wear and now I am looking to have top out and definitely going elsewhere, and will see about getting a new bottom denture done also

I also had a few cleanings was very happy. The woman in the office were always pleasant. I truly felt that this was the place for me. I went to the dentist about 3 weeks ago. I cracked a back tooth and it was tender. Dr. Gibbons took X-rays and told me he could save my tooth by rebuilding it a placing a cap over it. I was concerned that the pain would get worse. He said I should be fine. When I was checking out, the receptionist told me his first available appointment was 5 weeks away. I was concerned so she said she would put me on a cancellation list. 2 weeks passed and my tooth started to really hurt. The office was closed for Memorial Day weekend so I had to wait. My pain got so intense. I tried everything over the counter. Nothing worked. I called an on line dentist. He gave me antibiotics, 800 mg of ibuprofen and antibacterial mouthwash. Another day passed. I was not able to eat and by night my entire body was trembling. I am also a diabetic so not eating was an issue. My husband brought me to the ER. After waiting 6 hours to be seen, the DR gave me a mouth rinse to numb my mouth and a stronger pain med. My husband called Dr Gibbons office and explained everything to the receptionist. She returned his call only to say Dr Gibbons didn't feel comfortable to address my issue but could refer me to an oral surgeon. Needless to say, I was so upset that he wouldn't even take a look at my tooth. I found a dentist who took me right away. He was compassionate and understanding about my situation. He fit me into his busy schedule and will be giving me a root canal 4 days from my visit. How can a Doctor I just met do all that for me yet a Doctor I've been going to not to mention spending a good amount of money not even care.

Rita, my dental hygienist is amazing, it has NEVER been uncomfortable or feel like it's taking forever when she cleans my teeth. Everyone is always so incredibly nice and you can see they really work as a team. I had an emergency this past weekend and was able to reach out, got a quick call back from Dr. Samantha Ward, got an appointment the next day, met with her and some other team members and figured out the problem and took steps to get a casting done asap for a mouth guard. I would highly recommend the office to everyone! They also seem to take all different types of insurance which was good because I didn't have the best when I first went.

When I returned, they took an X-ray to address their mistake and then charged me $200 for it. The tooth still bothers me to this day. More recently, I was told they accepted my new insurance, had work done, and was later charged $500 because they "never accepted" it--despite admitting they knew that beforehand. They told me I was out of luck and that they don't work with my insurance because situations like this happen. He even opened his office & had his wife come in to assist him when I was having a problem. I don't know of any other dr that would do that for a patient!
