I purchased my vehicle here and have been a customer with the service center for a number of years and was generally satisfied with the service until today when I dropped my vehicle off and received no phone call or any other communication to inform me that the service department was keeping my vehicle overnight. And when I tried to call before 6pm, the service department was not picking up the phone. Furthermore, the general customer service department couldn't get in contact with my service representative either, and this is before 6pm! Granted, I changed my number recently, but I gave my new phone number to the person that checked-in my car. So, I don't understand how I didn't receive any communication; even to tell me that my vehicle could not be completed today. And the excuse cannot be that my new phone number was mixed up with my old phone number because I was just there for service on 6/19/2025 and had no issues with communication! This is unacceptable. You cannot keep someone's vehicle overnight and not even make a single attempt to reach them. And you can't have employees not pickup the phone just because it's a half-hour before closing. I was scheduled to get on the road and drive this evening because I have a wedding and events to go to in North Carolina. I took time-off from my new job that is located in Harrisburg (a two-hour drive) just so I could be on-time for this appointment; and I just started this job 2 months ago, which is not a trivial matter to be granted time-off during the probationary period of a new job. I was counting on Sloane Honda to do the good work I've always known them to do, and to be efficient and communicative like they usually are. But at a critical moment when I needed someone to reach out, I get nothing from the service department; just a nondescript voicemail message and a lone customer service representative that can't to do anything but be the bearer of bad news. And now my arrangements to be where I needed to be, on-time, for this wedding is in jeopardy because lack-of-communication from the service department; and I'm supposed to eat the costs of bookings and arrangements that are now up ended because someone failed to communicate. Even if I show up at 7am in the morning, how much longer do I now need to wait? Is there still a line in front of me? I'd hate to see what happens when someone needs their vehicle to get to work and the service department keeps their car overnight and doesn't tell them this or make it easy to reach the right people. Again, I haven't had issues in the few years I've been patronizing this establishment, but in the moment that I really needed that same level of consistency during a high stress and transition period, the communication failed and significantly set me back. I'm sure the management and service center employees will see this, and when I walk in tomorrow morning, they'll know it was me who complained. I just hope everything stays professional and they're able to quickly complete service on my vehicle, or allow me to take my vehicle back in peace. Avoid at all costs. The dealership was completely "unaware" of the Honda HR-V 2023 rear windshield and seat belt recall. Once told, they still refused to help. They claimed it was up to the customer to get these two recalls fixed. Drove 2 hours to another dealership that acknowledged the COMPANY'S recalls but they did not have the glass part. Had this dealership call Sloane Honda and convince them that a recall should not come out of the customer's pocket. Day of appointment at Sloane, there is no recollection or record of my appointment. Despite calling the evening before to confirm the appointment was there. One specific member is extremely rude! Every other comment that comes out of his mouth is backhanded. "Oh you didn't leave the keys with us..." NO! I wasn't guaranteed service so I am not just handing over my keys. Then tapping his pen persistently where I needed to sign before giving me a minute to read what I was signing. I work in the medical field, I deal with all types of attitudes throughout the day so when I tell you customer service is very important to me, it really is. The customer service I received from Temuri, AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He made sure I was good the entire time I was there. My phone was dying so he gave me a charger, so I was able to stay in touch with my family when they needed me. He checked my tires and informed me; they had too much air in them and corrected the issue before I had one. He went out of his way and reprogrammed my radio. Sloane Honda in Philadelphia gave me one of the worst car-buying experiences I've ever had (08/22/25). My husband visited 3x, I joined on the last. Staff promised a specific car and accessories (tow hitch, mats) but later denied it. When I asked for a lower monthly payment, the "manager" returned with higher numbers, claiming the car was "better" so it cost more. Even worse was the way I was treated--as if my voice didn't matter. Both managers repeatedly directed their communication to my husband instead of me, interrupting me mid-sentence, and only listened once my husband insisted. The dismissive body language, rude tone, and refusal to honor promises left me furious. I walked out, got a much better deal at another dealership within hours, and only returned to retrieve my deposit. The only reason we stayed with Sloane Honda was because my husband liked the car--not because of the service. Yes, they closed a deal, but they've lost me forever as a customer. Supposedly a message was left for him. I also sent a email to the address told to me by the operator. While I may have missed a voice message, there was no response to my email. As of today, I am on the merry-go-round trying to get the refund check promised to me on June 7 for the key to the locked lug nuts. I bought it at a different dealer who was happy to help. read more

I visited the Honda dealership to have my OEM system inspected as it was malfunctioning. While I was prepared for the possibility of high costs, the lack of customer respect at this location was unexpected. My appointment was with Jamie Kubacki, who unfortunately was quite unhelpful and dismissive. I attempted to discuss my car's issues and ask questions, but she seemed miserable and short with me. A few days later, I was informed that my car was ready for pickup. Since it was a Monday, I was working until late afternoon 4 to 5 pm. I was asked if I had any additional questions which I did. I asked regarding to the payment and the pickup process, including whether I could inspect the car before finalizing the payment. Jamie's reply was in all caps, stating, "WE ARE HERE TILL 530 FOR PICKUP AND PAYMENT CAN BE MADE HERE AS WELL," (I wish I could post the screenshot here to post for everyone to see how horrible the whole conversation went) which felt overly harsh and unnecessary in response to my simple inquiries. Her professionalism and work ethic certainly seemed lacking. There was no reason to capitalize the whole response if a customer needed assistance. Regardless if the whole response was by accident some how the Jamie should have corrected herself in seconds if she cared enough about the customer. Larry Walsh was awesome! I went in with an idea but had a thousand scenarios in my head. Larry listened to all of them and showed me the 20 different cars I wanted to see with patience!!!!!! He helped me find what I needed and I am so happy. After I could finally come to a decision everything was so easy. What I liked most was his patience and his willingness to explain things so I could actually understand! I didn't feel haggled. And he was actually a normal decent guy. We visited 4 dealerships within a two week period and our experience at Sloane Honda was by far the WORST. We were approached by Glenn Smith and escorted to his desk upon our arrival despite explaining that we had an appointment scheduled with someone else. Things felt sleezy from the start. Prior to arriving, I had provided their stock numbers for 3 cars and was told that all three were available to test driving. This was confirmed again just an hour or so before our visit. Glenn said that one of the cars had just been taken for service, but that the other two were available. Just been taken for service? Hummm. The second one was in the showroom. How did they expect us to be able to test drive a car in the showroom? When we asked Glenn that question his reply was, "Well, some cars have to be in the showroom, otherwise the showroom would be empty!" His tone was a combination of rude & sarcastic. He then brought around the one car available to test drive. This car had a lot of marks and scratches, especially along the passenger side, including the front passenger window. When I commented that none of the cars we looked at thus far were so scratched up (keep in mind that this car was reported as never having had an accident), his reply was "You've never seen scratches on a used car before?" Again, rude & sarcastic! We took the car for a test drive and were very disappointed. A Honda Accord that was only a few years old and had less than 40,000 miles should have had a much smoother ride. After we returned, Glenn went to get a manager to introduce us but after several minutes we just left. All 3 of the other dealerships we visited treated us professionally and respectfully, even though 2 of them didn't end up getting our business. It's been more than a month and still no change. The GM has been useless and I've contacted PENNDOT and will be exploring other options-- HONDA SLOANE IS THE WORST. AVOID THIS DEALER AT ALL COSTS! **UPDATE 4/15** Warranty for $1095 has still not been canceled/reflected on my loan. The wait time is atrocious. There is minimal customer service if you are not a 25 year customer, or went to high school with the staff, feels like. I was left standing for far too long, and ignored. She listened to my concerns and made sure they were address and even checked for herself. I told her about my bad experience I had and she insured me that it will not happen again. Worst dealership in town!!! I came in because my car was making a humming sound from worn-out wheel bearings. Talked to a rude rep (Jamie) who told me that, if I didn't have an appointment, she couldn't do anything for me. I took my car across town to Piazza Honda on Essington Ave. which promptly diagnosed the problem and got me a loaner car so I can pick my daughter up from school while they fixed the problem. The repair cost me $850, which I gladly paid because of exceptional customer service. Review is from the actual time of purchase, and was written a year ago (06/2010). "Recently moved to PA (as in one week ago) and was trying to buy a car. I am a full time student in grad school. For those who do not already know, you can not get title and reg. on a PA plated car without a PA license, and I had an out of state license. found this out after visiting/driving/negotiating aka a lot of time at dealership. was crushed to find that i could not get the car bc of my out of state license, and was advised to transfer my license while they held my car with deposit. Needless to say i could not get a license he next day due to fact i did not have ssn card with me in PA (was in homestate) and i worried they would not let me hold the car longer than a day or two. I went to the DMV a total of FIVE times to get this settled. The amount of hoops you need to jump through is ridiculous to buy a car in PA when moving. They gave me a 2 week grace period on the license and agreed to give me the call if i paid in full, as long as i brought by the new license when i got it. when they said they would upon full payment, i went to the bank to get the money (money order) only to find my funds had not yet transferred due to opening a new local account upon moving. another strike against me. Throughout all this, the salesman john tuck was helpful and encouraging- i really though i would lose the deal on the car and have to start the process all over again after i got my license and money situation handled. i was able to work through it all and am now the owner of a beautiful civic. thanks sloane!" read more

So back again with the worst Honda dealership i had to deal with went to get an oil change at a different dealership cause i feel like i can't trust sloane Honda . When i went to the other dealership on Thursday September 26th they had told me that i needed some work done to my car just wear and tear work. One of the things was my cabin air filter that i had gotten changed at Sloane in February they had told me if i got it changed in February it shouldn't need to be done but it looked so bad when they showed me it. I should have been more reliant on the poorer reviews. Don't let the amount of reviews and the average fool you. Customer service has been abysmal since day 1. I was originally interested in a 2006 Honda Civic that was on their Glenside lot. Upon request, they said it was more than likely going to be purchased so they invited me in to look at the 2008 Toyota Camry they had on site. I agreed, even though the price was a little more than what I could afford. When I asked what happened with the Civic, they told me it had been sold. My dad and I agreed test drove the Camry, bargained with Xavier for close to 2 hours to bring the price down to a $6,000 total. We brought up our concern that the car alignment was off and he told us it was probably because of the rain making the roads wet, which is clearly a lie even to someone who is novice with cars. We noticed the car was filthy, and there were no mats on the floors. Xavier told us it was so that the customers wouldn't dirty them up, and they would be placed upon signing. After signing, I was given the car, with no mats, and only 1 key. When asked where the mats were and had him check with detailing, there were in fact no mats for this car. He told me he would put in an order for them and they would be in in about a week. A week passes, I receive no call and decide to sit down with the manager. The mats had not been ordered, he told me he would get me a "discount" on the key, because they are not in the business of making keys for used cars "how it comes to them is how they sell it". I'm even informed that they will, again, order the mats, meaning an order had not even been placed. Given the car was filthy, I asked if the car would be cleaned again and they agreed. I brought it in the next day and these are pictures I took after the car was supposed to have been cleaned. Regardless of a global pandemic, I should NOT be driving a car off a respectable lot that looked like this. Later that week I come in again to see about the key copy and they tell me to go to Sloane Toyota to get a copy. Upon arrival, they did not have my key in stock and would have to order it. I did not appreciate the run around, but in the end the key was given to me free of charge which is the bare minimum. On to the many other issues, this car is inspected until 1/22, meaning it is safe to drive and everything is running smoothly. I already replaced the upper engine mount and it cost me $129 for part and labor. My check engine light had turned on not 2 weeks after purchase, telling me there is a misfiring. A family friend reads the error and checks it out. The spark plugs obviously needed to be changed, and 1 out of the 4 ignition coils are an improper size. Not to mention, when they were being taken out, they noticed my engine had oil in it and each spark plug was covered with oil. The gasket is clearly old and needs to be replaced, which is likely what gave me the misfire. Needless to say, left unchecked, can cause imminent mechanical failure. I would say whoever passed this car through inspection without having fixed the gasket or replaced the incorrect ignition coil did not do a great job. And I kept letting things slide from the beginning, but I just thought I would let people know my experiences. My calls go unanswered, my voicemails are left without acknowledgment. It's incredibly hard to get anyone's attention, and if the only way to do that is to leave pictures of proof and a long review, so be it. read more

They are liars and thieves. The financial adviser I worked with said he "waived" the cost of gap insurance because he felt I needed it when I refused. He then added it to my loan for an additional $900 without telling me. I went back to the dealership when I realized. 9am on a weekday, I sit and wait an hour, I'm then told "they're in a meeting" and to come back later. Came back at noon, no one saw me, I was told to come back a different day. I am busy and the dealership is far so I call, they say the person who I did this transaction with doesn't work there anymore. All they can do is cancel it prorated. I think the cherry on top is their attempt to sell me a maintenance plan when I got the car, their shop doesn't even have the tools to work on my car. They can't even tell me the closest shop that does, who also takes that plan. And no, I didn't buy it. lol Ridiculous read more

Lets get one thing straight, the service department is amazing. They exhibit true customer service. The sales department should take a page out of their book because their customer service is awful. While the sales manager, Brett, helped me quickly and efficiently once he found out about my problem, the rest of the group in the sales building were embarassing. Now onto the problem: I bought a certified pre-owned car about a week ago and it had a nearly flat tire. I was told by my salesman Xavier, that it would be taken care of. Only a couple of days later the same tire went flat again so i scheduled a service appointment expecting this to be handled easily and for no charge. The tire that was originally flat had to be replaced (~$200) along with a plug in another tire(~25) that the service department found. After heading to the sales building to explain the issue, Xavier sent me back to service with a note to fix the $25 plug ONLY. Nobody handled it for me, i had to walk back and hand deliver this notice. Service had to call sales 3 times after being hung up on and Brandon REFUSED to pay for the tire replacement. It wasnt until i ran into the sales manager, who coincidentially was in the service department at that moment, that my problem was corrected. The sales department at sloane honda has a serious customer service issue. They are the epitome of the slimey sales person. What makes this review so unfortunate is that the sales manager, Brett and the service department were incredible and easy to deal with. Xavier and brandon? Not so much. They delivered terrible customer service. Avoid these guys and buy your car with someone else. I cant believe i wasted my entire saturday afternoon with these bufoons. read more

My 200th review and it's a great one. Currently I lease my CRV from this location. It's my 5th Honda. I love my vehicle. It's super reliable. There's a reason I keep leasing from here. Now to this morning, I'm running out the door , jump in my car to make the mad dash to the train and my front tire is completely flat. Noooo, this can't be ! But it is. We were told to ask for Carlos Santana and we were very happy with our car buying experience. After so many bad experience with shady, pushy dealers, working with him was a breath of fresh air. He was extremely professional, friendly, and patient. He did not try to push a sale on us and gave us a thorough run through of the car. Anything he did not know, he said he will look it up and did not try to make anything up. I admire good, honest people and I am happy to write positive reviews for those who deserve it.
