We enjoy going to Sloan's as part of our little date nights. We usually end the night at Sloan's after eating in the village. Our most recent trip, we went on a Saturday around 5:15pm and there was one other group in there. However, when we left there were several groups in there. They were well staffed with at least five employees that I can remember taking orders. We ordered a banana split ($13.99) with vanilla, dulce de leche, and mud pie as our ice cream flavors. Our wet toppings were hot fudge x2 and marshmallow. My partner likes peanuts but I don't necessarily care for them, so he selected the crushed peanuts as our dry topping and requested that it only be put on top of the vanilla ice cream (his ice cream selection). Our server happily obliged. What I found to be really impressive was while we were waiting for our banana split to be created, we were approached at least three times asking if we had been helped yet. They are really on top of it here. In terms of the ice cream - it looks like a kid's dream, and tastes just as good as it looks. The banana split comes with two bananas, which tasted ripe, and it was definitely sharable between two people. Parking: We did end up having to pay $2 for parking. When we went up to the parking garage and scanned our ticket it said we were good, and once we drove to get out it told us we needed to pay $2. Turns out we were there for an hour and a minute - I guess that minute occurred between the two scans. In the past, I thought once we scanned we had 15 minutes to exit, but I guess things have changed. Just something to be aware of now. read more

Not being familiar w the area and knowing I was headed to an outdoor mall, I called to see where they were. Jesse explained, I parked and found it relatively easy. He told me on the phone he was wrapping up his lunch, and would reopen shortly. By the time I parked and walked over, he opened. Omg! What an amazing place! The decor is amazing, the selections go on for days, cute gifts, a clean bathroom that was also fabulous! I'm a fan!!! Jesse offered ice cream samples and/or fudge. They also had cookies and candy. It was the kind of place you envision when you think of ice cream and candy. Willie Wonka-esque even. They had SO many amazing flavors. Jesse was super patient while i figured my life out. I'm currently stuck on this McConnells flavor that is from their See's collab, I admit that I was trying to create my own version of it. I did great! I did the banana w cookie butter and topped it w heath pieces. I was so impressed with Jesse, he asked how I wanted my scoops layered! Never been asked that. Ever! Kudos! Before ordering my treat I used and admired the restroom as well as their novelty gifts. I can see getting gifts here easily. This is a must see if you're a girly girl like myself. It is SO cute the PINK when you walk in and the decor is everything it's basically selfie heaven, but so I got we were rushed in and out so got what I could. This trip, I got a couple scoops of their Nutella ice cream which was delicious as hell!!! I wish they could have made this into a milkshake! I'm sure you could if you asked them. Got the Luscious Dark (dark chocolate with brownies, peanuts, pecan, chocolate chips) and Peanut Butter Cup. Both were good, very sticky, and the ice cream base was good and tasty, but the textures were a bit grainy and really chunky (small chunks) -- kind of like pre-chewed texture-- wish the chunks were bigger so it was a nicer bite and mouth feel The service was fine, though they didn't necessarily offer samples. After explaining what I was looking for, Hasina did everything she could to help me find something I'd like. The first 2-3 options didn't excite me. I was ready to leave, but then Hasina suggested some options at the front counter. At first, I wasn't excited that they weren't exactly what I had in mind. The reason I gave them a second thought, was because I saw how sad Hasina looked when she thought she had failed to help me find something I'd like. Definitely sweet but the perfect single scoop for me. The almond joy also just tasted exactly like an almond joy and that one was way sweeter than the Nutella one! I loved the Nutella one and would definitely come back to have more of it. They sell other sweet treats like candy, chocolate, cookies and stuff like that. There are even toys and this weird life-like sleeping puppy that breathes (has a motor in it to look like it's breathing) honestly really creepy. I surprised my son with a visit to Sloan's! We called first but didn't get an answer and decided to go anyway and I'm glad we did! It wasn't too busy being it was late in the evening. We were welcomed as soon as we entered and in complete amazement! My son took off looking at all of the unique and old school candy throughout the store. There's such a fun and unique vibe here. I couldn't get over how many sweets and treats they had to offer. They have a ton of different ice cream flavors and toppings to choose from. I got a 3 scoop sundae with both a caramel praline ice cream and pistachio ice cream. It was so delicious! The ice cream was so smooth and creamy and fresh! I came here last night with a few of my friends for a nice treat, but was left with a sour taste in my mouth. The ice cream was good. I've had better, but it wasn't bad at all. The service? Not good. I was served by a lovely young lady, she was polite and I had no issues being served by her. My group all made it clear to the two workers we were all going to be ordering separately and when the young man was done with the person in front of me (a friend in our group) he proceeded to skip the next two people in line (both my friends) and served an older man instead... when he was the one who asked if we were all to be served together or separately. I have my suspicion's as to why he skipped over them, but I will not speculate. I just know it was incredibly rude and not good customer service at all. By the time my friends were served my ice cream had started to melt as I waited. We sat right outside the shop, and while it's a cute shop, there were huge rats running about right outside it was disgusting. Will not be returning. read more
