We have visited the area 3 times now, but finally ate here....twice! It was perfect. Walkable from our condo, reasonable pricing, great view of the slopes from the patio, friendly and attentive service, and the food was good with a wide range of options. Bonus points for our son being able to run around and play soccer on the slopes while we hung out. Also $8 kids menu for the win!!

Tried Slopeside Tavern for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! The food was good, the service was quick, and the vibe was relaxed and casual. It's a great spot to hang out, and I'd definitely go back again.

Very fun and casual Sunday afternoon destination. The standout is the menu for a Bloody Mary creation. With that said...Get the Bloody Mary. The bartender and manager were really great.

Good atmosphere. Can eat while watching skiers. Food was average but very fast. Will say burger + truffle fries were good. Don't recommend chicken tacos

Wonderful food selection everything is very tasty. The staff wonderful, great beers, full bars, special seltzer, and lots of flavors. You can sit outside at the bottom of the slopes! And they have special events for locals on the Sunday nights.

This little tavern is located right at the foot of the mountain (hill,) at the Sapphire Valley Ski Resort. It's a simple little tavern with a full bar inside and a covered patio outdoors. Our party of 5 stopped in for a drink before our scheduled tubing time. There was a hostess, however we just went up to the bar because we just wanted drinks. I wanted a local beer; but most of the ones on tap were IPAs or sours, so the bartender suggested the Samuel Adams seasonal beer called Cold Snap. It was described as similar to a Blue Moon; and I absolutely loved it! (I think I found a new favorite beer....too bad it's seasonal!). Others in our group had Miller Lite and Michelob Ultra. It was moderately busy, and there seemed to be quite a few people ordering food as well. I was kind of disappointed that the fireplace wasn't burning because it was in the twenties outside in January and it would have been nice to warm up next to a fire after a day of skiing, snowboarding, or tubing. Overall we were served quickly, prices were reasonable, and I was impressed that my daughter & her boyfriend, (24 & 25,) were carded because it could be a disaster if they let minors drink and then allow them to hit the slopes!

I escaped from NY and came to Cashiers in late June, and I have to say this restaurant is handling the Covid at the same level of where I came from.

The menu has loads of choices for the most simple palette and the most sophisticated palette. One can certainly feel the passion love and dedication that Chef Johannes puts into his work. We had 6 persons in our group. We started with a lightly griddled corn bread appetizer to get things going. 2 persons loved the rich and silky lobster bisque soup. I enjoyed the seasonal salad with sourwood honey dressing. I have raised my 2 grown adult children with great exposure to different culture's fine dining. So they jumped right in and ordered the elk. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. So tender.... My wife got the succulently light trout and was so pleased. I ordered a well priced and tasty bottle of Margaux wine. The desserts for sharing were the bread pudding and cobbler. They were delicious and devoured quickly. The whole experience was fantastic ! The pièce de résistance was getting to speak with Chef Johannes. He is a wonderful and passionate Chef that truly loves his work. The menu changes periodically so one will never be bored. I highly recommend The Library and I will continue to return too.

We saw they had food too, mostly tapas style; but pretty extensive, so we ordered a few appetizers to share as well. We ordered the edamame which had truffle salt and soy sauce spices. It was a little messy, but really good, and a great deal at $7. We also ordered the bacon-wrapped scallops, ($15). There was a sweet Thai bourbon sauce on those; and the reviews were mixed. My sister thought they were too sweet and my daughter's boyfriend and my husband thought they were delicious! Although they do have a full bar; we only ordered beer & wine. The two wines ordered at the table were Old Soul Pinot Noir and a Sauvignon Blanc. Again prices were good at $7. Three of us had beer; Miller Lite & Michelob Ultra for just a few bucks each. Our visit was at 5:30 on a Friday and the place was just starting to fill up. They had limited seating due to the covid pandemic and there were tables, high tops, the bar area plus a patio. It was chilly on our visit, but there was a group on the patio taking advantage of the cool weather with the tower heater. There only appeared to be 2 employees out front; the bartender & one server.....they both did their best to keep up with orders as the place became busier and busier. I really liked this place & it has a great location right on the main highway. The prices were good and there were many options for eating and drinking with very affordable prices.
