I got the shrimp po boy, the shrimp was fine, seems like most of the food was frozen. "Pineapple slaw" had no pineapple and the bread was stale. Fries were the best part of the meal. We ordered soda and it was pretty horrible, tasted like a 2 liter was left out for far too long. Server was awesome very nice and attentive. Stopped in for a quick lunch with a skiing/snowboarding view. We had the chili (watered down and lacked flavor), wings, salads, and a chicken wrap. Overall, very average taste with the tater tots being the best out of it all. read more

Located right on Wyndham property but open to the public. They have a large outdoor dining area with picnic tables and heaters where you can enjoy your food/drinks while looking at the bunny slopes. We were seated right away, and the wait staff was quick to get our orders and checked in often. They fp have daily food and drink specials and feature a full bar. read more

We have visited the area 3 times now, but finally ate here....twice! It was perfect. Walkable from our condo, reasonable pricing, great view of the slopes from the patio, friendly and attentive service, and the food was good with a wide range of options. While passing through Sapphire Valley, North Carolina, we stopped for dinner at slopeside Tavern. The menu was eclectic. I ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl, which was very very good. And my dining partner ordered the bacon, lettuce, and tomato with fried green tomatoes, tacos. The combination sounds strange to me, but it was apparently very good cause she ate all of it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for a great meal at a reasonable price. read more

Ate there for the first time last week and it was great! I had the Teriyaki Bowl with shrimp, my husband had the French Dip Press with fries. Both were excellent. Canaan, our server, was polite and very attentive. He did a great job at keeping our drinks filled, which can be difficult since my husband is a sweet tea fanatic. This little tavern is located right at the foot of the mountain (hill,) at the Sapphire Valley Ski Resort. It's a simple little tavern with a full bar inside and a covered patio outdoors. Our party of 5 stopped in for a drink before our scheduled tubing time. There was a hostess, however we just went up to the bar because we just wanted drinks. I wanted a local beer; but most of the ones on tap were IPAs or sours, so the bartender suggested the Samuel Adams seasonal beer called Cold Snap. It was described as similar to a Blue Moon; and I absolutely loved it! (I think I found a new favorite beer....too bad it's seasonal!). Others in our group had Miller Lite and Michelob Ultra. It was moderately busy, and there seemed to be quite a few people ordering food as well. I was kind of disappointed that the fireplace wasn't burning because it was in the twenties outside in January and it would have been nice to warm up next to a fire after a day of skiing, snowboarding, or tubing. Overall we were served quickly, prices were reasonable, and I was impressed that my daughter & her boyfriend, (24 & 25,) were carded because it could be a disaster if they let minors drink and then allow them to hit the slopes! read more

We came here for lunch on a Sunday when were skiing. The restaurant is at the bottom of the hill and has both indoor and outdoor tables. It was over a hour wait for our large party of 10, so I would recommend putting your name in before you are hungry, especially if you have a large party. We were seated inside at a table and there is a small bar area as well. The kids menu is great and the regular menu has lots of good options as well. I went with the burger and was not disappointed. It was large in size and I requested all of the toppings on the side, which they obliged. I was also able to get tater tots instead of fries as my side and those were excellent as well, with the perfect crispness. Our server was great in handling all of our orders and getting refills for our drinks. read more

We magically wonder into Slopeside just about every time we go grocery shopping. We may intentionally go light on our shopping to afford us more visits to Slopeside. They constantly have new menu items, rotating taps, and great service. read more

Came on Friday night Place had a few guests The special was rib eye 8oz with Brussels sprouts and corn For $32 I asked for very rare just over blue Well when the steak came It was cut bad 1/4" thick on one end and a 1/2" thick on the other. So one end was well done and other was rare They did not replace it. The Brussel sprouts were good but they scorched the honey glaze giving a bad after taste. We came here during our trip to the Sapphire Valley Ski Resort, Friday at Lunch. Was right at the bottom of the slope and easy to access. Overall was impressed with the food, particularly given the location and view at the bottom of the hill. Service was OK, getting sat outside (can't wear ski boots inside) took a little while, and server wasn't overly attentive. Food was excellent, fries and tots were crispy and hot. Black bean burger came with hummus and feta and made a great healthy lunch on a ski day. Hot chocolate always a winner for the kiddos. Pricing was a little high for the food, but given the location it made it worth not leaving or finding another spot. If you are on the slopes you can grab food here with confidence. read more

The restaurant location is convenient with plenty of parking. The indoor and outdoor dining spaces are nothing spectacular but they're clean. The menu was a little eccentric but overall it was good. I have been multiple times. They are good at cleaning their taps so the beer is spot on and the food is always good. The servers and cooks do this place justice as well. We ordered a barbecue chicken wrap that was decent, and a southwestern salad that was crazily pedestrian and cost $14.00!!!! No crackers. The more important issue was that our server, a long dark-haired young lady was neither friendly or personable. But the other server, a young man, was very nice and friendly, even stopping to compliment our dogs. Service here was so slow that we could have gotten a table in Cashiers by the time our food was served here. Basic bar food and not very good. Somehow they were out of the French dip sandwich. Our order took so long that we asked the waitress when it would arrive. She there was a backup in the kitchen and our food would come out soon. No apology for the inconvenience. I am spending a week here alone and invited several other tourists I met to meet me here to hear the music. We had a great time and the band was good. I had a chicken salad wrap which was good. I got the loaded potato salad which was very good but the serving was tiny. The others had ordered margaritas and they mentioned that they were too sour. I like the atmosphere here. The heater nearest us was not working well and we were chilly until someone left and we were able to move to a better heater. I would definitely return if they have music.
