Outdoor dining with bunny slopes view

Located right on Wyndham property but open to the public. They have a large outdoor dining area with picnic tables and heaters where you can enjoy your food/drinks while looking at the bunny slopes. We were seated right away, and the wait staff was quick to get our orders and checked in often. They fp have daily food and drink specials and feature a full bar.

We have visited the area 3 times now, but finally ate here....twice! It was perfect. Walkable from our condo, reasonable pricing, great view of the slopes from the patio, friendly and attentive service, and the food was good with a wide range of options. Bonus points for our son being able to run around and play soccer on the slopes while we hung out. Also $8 kids menu for the win!!

Tried Slopeside Tavern for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! The food was good, the service was quick, and the vibe was relaxed and casual. It's a great spot to hang out, and I'd definitely go back again.

Very fun and casual Sunday afternoon destination. The standout is the menu for a Bloody Mary creation. With that said...Get the Bloody Mary. The bartender and manager were really great.

Good atmosphere. Can eat while watching skiers. Food was average but very fast. Will say burger + truffle fries were good. Don't recommend chicken tacos

Wonderful food selection everything is very tasty. The staff wonderful, great beers, full bars, special seltzer, and lots of flavors. You can sit outside at the bottom of the slopes! And they have special events for locals on the Sunday nights.

This little tavern is located right at the foot of the mountain (hill,) at the Sapphire Valley Ski Resort. It's a simple little tavern with a full bar inside and a covered patio outdoors. Our party of 5 stopped in for a drink before our scheduled tubing time. There was a hostess, however we just went up to the bar because we just wanted drinks. I wanted a local beer; but most of the ones on tap were IPAs or sours, so the bartender suggested the Samuel Adams seasonal beer called Cold Snap. It was described as similar to a Blue Moon; and I absolutely loved it! (I think I found a new favorite beer....too bad it's seasonal!). Others in our group had Miller Lite and Michelob Ultra. It was moderately busy, and there seemed to be quite a few people ordering food as well. I was kind of disappointed that the fireplace wasn't burning because it was in the twenties outside in January and it would have been nice to warm up next to a fire after a day of skiing, snowboarding, or tubing. Overall we were served quickly, prices were reasonable, and I was impressed that my daughter & her boyfriend, (24 & 25,) were carded because it could be a disaster if they let minors drink and then allow them to hit the slopes!

I escaped from NY and came to Cashiers in late June, and I have to say this restaurant is handling the Covid at the same level of where I came from.

Still thinking about it a week later. We also got the buffalo shrimp which was equally as delicious and super fresh. The peppercorn ranch that it came with was super good too. Others in our party got the pretzel bites and were very impressed with the pretzel and the queso and spicy mustard dipping sauces. There is a large space beside the brewery with fire pits and space to run and play for kids. There is a giant tv outside and lots of places to sit - both inside and outside. We were there the week after Christmas and though it was cold there were plenty of heaters/fire pits etc to keep warm near. Really great spot for all! We will definitely come back!

One of the bartenders told us their policy was that we needed to have full coverage pants on. Understandably some of us went home to change and put on different outfits while the rest stayed and it was not a big deal at all. The girl who told us this made very rude remarks, she was looking directly at our group and whispering, and she was dead staring at us when we got back to order our food. This kind of petty behavior in a hospitality environment is ridiculous. I do not know her name but she is a blonde bartender.

This restaurant came highly recommend by a lot of people so we were excited to try it. Firstly,…read morethe view and atmosphere is amazing. We were there in May and the weather was spectacular. The staff was very personal and attentive. We started with an average at best mocktail and bread service. Not impressed with the $6 roll and two smaller rolls (almost like popovers) or the butter that came along with it. We both started with salads. The wedge an the citrus. Both were very nice! For our main, I had the pork chop and my friend had the black grouper with "fried rice". She absolutely loved the fish however the rice that was served with it was dry and bland. My pork chop was very good. It was glazed with an apple butter and was in a peanut sauce which is a strange combination but it worked. So, overall it was a good experience, we just expected more based on the recommendations.

I was so glad to get a reservation at Canyon Kitchen-- as they book out months in advance, and now…read moreI completely understand why! The entire experience felt magical from the moment we arrived. Nestled in a serene valley framed by dramatic granite cliffs, the setting alone is enough to make the visit worth it. Even if you're not lucky enough to snag a reservation, I'd still recommend stopping by for a cocktail just to soak in the views and ambiance. It's truly one of the most stunning dining environments I've experienced. Dinner started off strong with their bread service--warm, pillowy Parker House rolls that were just the right amount of indulgent. We also ordered the deviled eggs, which had a wasabi twist that honestly blew me away. It was such a unique combination, but it totally worked--easily a 10/10. The tuna tartare came next, served with thinly shaved radish instead of chips, which added a crisp, refreshing texture that paired perfectly with the delicacy of the fish. For the main course, I had the fresh North Carolina trout. It was beautifully cooked and so fresh, though I found the mustard sauce a bit overpowering--it still didn't take away from how enjoyable the dish was overall. My partner ordered the Georgia steak, which was an absolute standout. It was cooked to perfection and served with creamy mashed potatoes and tender braised turnips--comfort food with an elevated twist. We ended the night with the strawberry pavlova, which was light, airy, and just sweet enough--perfect for a warm summer evening. We also opted for the wine pairing, and I can't recommend it enough. Each pour was thoughtfully chosen to complement the flavors of the meal, and the pairings truly elevated the entire dining experience. Canyon Kitchen changes its menu seasonally, which just gives me more of a reason to return. The food, the service, the views--everything about this meal was memorable in the best possible way. If you have the chance to go, don't hesitate. And if you don't, at least swing by for a cocktail and take in one of the most beautiful spots in Sapphire!
