I like sangria, it's a refreshing cool summer drink, composed of fresh fruit (apples, pears, plums, grapes and a healthy portion of citrus) and wine that is left to marinate. I watched the bartender add some 1/4inch pieces of green apples to a glass, fill with ice cubes and add wine. That is not sangria, that is watered down wine with an apple garnish.
