I love discovering new places to eat, and the Celtic Table was an incredible find! We stopped in for lunch and ate outside in the covered breezeway. Absolutely beautiful and cool on a sunny July Day. Kayla, our server, knew about every dish on the menu. I had the Reuben egg rolls (it comes with four halves, but I ate two before I decided to take a pic!) and they were better than any I've ever tried. Smaller Portions and High Prices Staff? friendly, outgoing and know the menus well. Food is generally pretty good but many (not all) selections are on the smaller size. So if you have a BIG appetite, you may be in trouble. But good flavors nonetheless. A cup of soup is a teaser. Fish & Chips...Good but again, the serving is on the smaller size. Don't expect a piece of fish that you can grab in your hand. Shepherds Pie - great flavors. One item that should be taken ff the menu completely...the stuffed mushroom appetizer. When these came out we simply could not believe just how small these were. If the mushrooms were the size of a quarter, that would be bragging. Everyone in my party likes or loves to cook and we all wondered where someone could even purchase mush rooms this small. Desserts - well, well, well. Bread pudding and sticky toffee. Fantastic. Prices - Hey look we know that the cost for ingredients has gone up in recent years. That said, this place is on the pricier side. We will still be back but maybe just for dessert! read more

First, the negatives -- I could wish there were more gluten-free items on their menu. The restaurant is very open, and a group of loud women seated nearby detracted from the experience. That being said, I ordered the Bangers & Chips. The sausages were very good. Hubby ordered the Fish & Chips. He felt the dish was okay, but would probably not order it again. Our server was very good, and attentive without being over-present. The bar area seemed to have plenty of seating, and looked like a cozy place to have a drink & mingle. I was super excited to see a business called Celtic Table so we immediately went without checking into it more. I expected a casual pub, but it was nicer than that and still welcoming for the casually dressed. The price point is a bit higher than the average pub, but the flavor profiles of everything we had were so delicious. We were here at lunch. The fish and chips for $22, while not a substantial portion, was perfectly cooked and the flavor excellent. First it's not some farm raised, mass produced, mushy fish posing as cod, it was flakey, meaty, and the crust was lightly crisp. The tartar sauce was the best I have ever tasted. We also had the chicken sandwich with onion rings, also crunchy and delicious. Service was friendly. We enjoyed it. read more

Last Saturday, we wanted to watch the Champions League soccer final - I called to ask if they had a TV for us to watch. They said absolutely come on over. We were the first ones in the restaurant and took over the beautiful bar area for the game. We enjoyed Guinness on tap along with Reuben egg rolls, melty Brie with fig jam, Reuben burger and Irish beans and Irish soda bread. The owner and staff were so welcoming and watched the game with us at times. They also have Sunday Irish brunch which we will be back for soon! Just had our first dinner at this fabulous place. We highly recommend it! Everyone at the table had a different dish and loved everyone!

First time customers. Kayla was our server and very welcoming, cheerful and helpful. I asked about their Water Lily drink and Kayla had great recommendations because she also happens to be the (great) bartender. We came because of Cashiers Burger Week. We had their Ruben Burger and OH. MY. GOODNESS. It was delicious! My drink was fantastic, it was a great blend of floral and citrus/lemon. We sat outside on a covered patio. It has great atmosphere and tables are spaced well. I'm very excited to come back when I return to Cashiers and definitely recommending it to friends and family! read more

Fun and festive atmosphere. You feel immersed in the Celtic culture and it reminded me of my trip to the Cape. Food was tasty and plentiful. Drinks we had were delicious and fun. We arrived just 15 minutes before the menu changed from lunch to dinner. Our waiter, Tommy, (who we later learned was the owner's brother) said he would check with the kitchen about the appetizer Boxty when I mentioned that we hated we were too early. He asked if we were willing to wait a few minutes. We were. We got the Boxty, which were delicious especially with the sour cream and chive sauce. We also ordered the Reuben Eggroll. Dipping it in the 1000 Island dressing, it tasted just like a Rueben sandwich. For our entrée, my husband got the Shepherd's pie, which is the real thing being made with lamb and not ground beef as many restaurants try to use. The ground beef makes it a Cottage Pie. He ranked the pie a 10 out of 10. I had the Fish and Chips made with Fried Cod. The fish was light and fried crispy. The plate included Mushy Peas which were a new thing for me but was very good. For dessert we ordered a Sticky Toffee Bun. The dessert was rich, sweet and delicious. The whip cream was the restaurant's handmade. This is a definite recommendation if you are in the area. The Irish stew and short rib were absolutely incredible--rich, tender, and full of flavor. The Reuben egg rolls were a fun and delicious twist, perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with that classic Reuben taste. A friend with a home in Highlands brought us here during a visit to the mountains. Unbelievable! We were blown away by how amazing the food was. Fresh, flavorful and deeply satisfying. The soda bread is to die for . I had the bangers and mash. The apples were perfection! We also had the ginger carrot soup (which was out of this world) and Shepherds pie. All beyond amazing!! The food was wonderful!, and we are more difficult than most people. We are vegetarians and my wife is gluten intolerant. We were a little skeptical about the mushy peas, but we loved them, I thought the potato pancakes were delicious. There were other selections I would have liked to try, but could try everything. Our first time to visit, although we have been to Scotland many times, and to Ireland. Fig salad, fish and chips our favorite. Corned beef was lean and had good flavor but cabbage overcooked and served with excess water on plate. Bread pudding sauce an old favorite but there was not a raisin or anything in the pudding except bread. We would go back but felt the quality of cooking and service can be improved. read more
