Ok so this place is top notch! I didn't know about this…read moreuntil my husband said he wanted brisket tacos! Was this even a thing? Yelp search to the rescue! Going by this one item we headed off for lunch! Apparently a lot of others had the same idea. As this place was busy! We drove over, found it easy, parked in one of 3 of their last spots and got in line. Line of 6 moved like a flash. Friendly staff took our order. While we watched a man pull apart lovely looking meat in back. I couldn't stop at brisket tacos, I also ordered Mac and cheese and a peach cheesecake pie slice! My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach! You get two tacos, on the most amazing tasting, fluffy flour tortillas. The meat is piled high! I got full off the pile of meat before I got to my tacos. I'm not a big meat person, so when I say the brisket was out of this world I mean it. It had the perfect fat to meat ratio (which for me is not a lot of fat) to go box please! Desert to go, latter eaten and it was so good! My new go to BBQ place! Yummy yummy!

I've been two Capelo's twice and had two very different experiences…read more The first time, I got a 1 meat platter with brisket and mac n cheese. The brisket was some of the best I've had in the Bay Area while the mac n cheese was super creamy. That visit was 5 stars but that was back in 2024. This latest experience was some of the worst brisket I've had in the Bay Area and would be rated 2 stars. The brisket was dry, chewy, and sliced in the wrong direction (with the grain instead of against the grain). I also tried the pork ribs - meh and the Dino ribs - tender but very fatty instead of juicy and seasoning seemed to be just salt - a lot of salt. The sides of brussels and kale slaw were also just fine. There was way too much vinegar on the kale slaw. There was live music but the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk much less think and we were sitting pretty far away. While I enjoy live music, it would be great if there were parts of the restaurant that was quieter for those looking to talk to their friends or who don't enjoy the specific band that evening. Bartender was a cool dude and staff in general are nice.

Great beers and tap tenders. Outside food is allowed but we also enjoyed the food truck that was there. Private space was perfect and we had our own bathroom! Clutch. We also had access to their prep space including a fridge which was helpful as we setup. I loved the private space but still access to the hub bub of the bar. The beers are always dank and we had fun doing flights of tastings! Alex, Brad and his staff make this a wonderful community space. My friend is actually inspired to host their fundraiser there too!

Brought the family with me to sample their options here is what everyone had I sampled the roadhouse burger and added mushrooms and made it a double, sadly this was not my favorite that I sample minus the mushrooms would have been a better take on this burger, also added the chilli cheese fries those were delicious would have been better with more meat in the chilli but everyone has their own preference Son ordered the nashville chicken sandwich - taste was perfect but my son mentioned it was way to messy to eat again delicious but way to messy to eat, crunch on each bite, seasoned and flavored well just allot to bite down on Daughter ordered roadhouse burger just cheese and meat with side of fries, even though it was smashed she finished most of it she left 1/4 of the burger and bread she stated it was delicious with side of piping hot fries she would order it again Wife had the roadhouse cobb and added nashville chicken she stated it was heavy for a salad allot of greens and heavy slices of crunchy nashville fried chicken In total all of the food was good, there were several other options to choose from, i will have to come back and sample a different burger Food **** for everyone elses burger 3.5 for my burger should have not added the mushrooms Price $$$ Service **** helpful, friendly Ambiance **** clean, open, not loud

Decades later, it hasn't lost an ounce of its charm, and I truly can't recommend it enough. Don't let the classic cafeteria-style setup fool you; the moment you reach the counter, you're greeted by an amazing, welcoming staff and a vast spread of delicious comfort food. My absolute go-to is the hot turkey dinner, it's like having Thanksgiving year-round with all the fixings. My sister usually opts for the hot roast beef sandwich (or dinner plate), which is just as incredible. To top it all off, they have a fantastic bar and a great outdoor patio. A total classic that never disappoints! Highly recommend

Parking was fairly easy to find, we immediately found a spot on a Saturday afternoon. They operate cafeteria style basically. You get in line, you order what you want from the carvery, and pay. We stood off to the side to study the menu before hopping in line as it was our first time. I ordered the roast turkey sandwich on dutch crunch bread, which they dipped in jus for me. They also asked if I had a preference for white or dark meat, which was very nice. I chose a mix. After I opted for all the toppings, the carver complimented my sandwich choices. So I knew I was in for a good meal! My boyfriend opted for a half roast turkey sandwich on white bread, mac and cheese, and the soup of the day. We found a table pretty easily and I liked the assortment of mustard at the table. Decor was very charming and old fashioned, but I liked it! Workers were bussing tables around us and working very hard. We're both looking forward to our next visit, very enjoyable experience! Service was great from start to finish!

Long wait time…read more 3/22/25 I came here for lunch with a group of 10. We sat outside on the patio since I brought my dog Coco. The grillhouse is located in a plaza off Redwood Shores Parkway. Parking was very easy to find. Here's what I got: GH shrimp po boy with seasoned fries I will say that it did take a while for everyone to decide on what to order since they were 10 of us. And I think because since we were a bigger party, our food took 30 minutes to come out. I think my sandwich overall was just OK. The bread was kind of hard and the shrimp could have been seasoned better. The seasoned fries were the star of the plate. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing that day, but I'm willing to give them another try.

Upon walking in there was private event going on, so I had to sit outside which was ok. I was very hungry so I ordered the Hickory Burger and the grilled buffalo wings after a recommendation made by the waitress. Hickory Burger: Surprised it was small and very disappointing. The bacon was overcooked and dry which I should have taken a picture of. The bun used was a sesame seed bun and made a mess every time I grabbed the burger from the seeds on the bun. The burger comes with bbq sauce on it but I chose to add it on the side. The seasoned fries sounded great but was really salty and was one of the worst fries I've had in a while. I had ranch dipping sauce so I dipped there many times to combat the over power seasoning. It did the job to fill my stomach, but I wasn't satisfied. Overall I don't know if this is place I'd go out of my way to come to again.
