I have to thank my food critic and friend RITA for recommending this place to me and treating me to a great lunch. Before we begin, this is place is not for non-crabby at heart"! Lol Nestled right off the DUMBARTON BRIDGE in Newark lies this great crab and fish casual restaurant. Mexican and Cajun specialties are highlighted. I must say I was pleasantly shocked. I had the Jumbo Coconut Prawns and they were excellent. You have to take a look at the wide array of seafood that this place has and what you get when you order the full meal, amazing. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you Rita for the recommend and thank you Crabby Crabby for the excellent cooking and service.

Finally decided to try this spot and was impressed. The service was quick and staff were attentive to our needs. The quality of the seafood is also good- additional $2 for fresh crawfish but I didn't mind. We got the crabby crabby medium and it was the perfect spice. This isn't your typical seafood boil spot, she does have that Latin taste to it, and it was delicious. We came right before the dinner rush and the inside of the restaurant was very clean. I forgot to take a before pic, but here's the after!

Made a reservation for a saturday night but walk in would have been fine - there were customers for sure but no wait at all. The service was great, they came by to check in, took follow up orders as well. The combo itself did take a hot second to come out, but it was piping hot when it did. My favorite was the shrimp, followed by crawfish, followed by lobster tail. The lobster was not tender. Garlic fries came out hot also, with LOTS of garlic on top (note: garlic not that cooked, so it had a bite, which I personally liked, but was unexpected). Overall the ambiance was good. They had many TVs up for sports showings. I love the form factor of seafood boil where you can get a little messy with it.

Great food. I ordered garlic butter sauce and it was delicious even with no heat. The portions are very good and price wise it is very fair. . I came around lunchtime and it was very busy so the wait was long. I had to go to the counter to get to go bags , and they never gave me my water. The place is well kept and the tables were arranged for easy access. The restroom was clean and well stocked. It is much better compared to the ones in San Francisco. I will be back soo

10/10 find! I didn't realize Crabby Crabby was more than just a seafood boil spot, but was surprised to find out they also offer Mexican food. Pretty unique combo. We came in around 7:30 pm and it wasn't packed at all. We were seated right away and had our order taken quickly. We ordered 2 lb head-on shrimp with sausages, 1 lb crawfish with potatoes, and a side of Cajun fries. For both the shrimp and crawfish, we chose the Crabby Crabby mix (original Cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic butter) with mild spice. Everything tasted SO good. The sauce was not overly buttery or oily and tasted even better with the lemon juice. The Cajun fries were perfectly crunchy and even better when dipped in the Crabby Crabby sauce. Would recommend to friends and definitely saved in my collections as a go-to seafood boil spot!

First time coming to this place and will definitely be coming back! We planned our arrival before the stated busy period on their Yelp place and definitely beat the dinner rush. We were quickly helped and started our meal shortly after. Kiddos enjoyed their picks and I was surprised when the oldest ventured and tried many new things. Left with a long list of things we want to try and can't wait to tell friends about it. Very cute decor and clean and efficient service. Good for large groups or a solo date.

This is an update of my previous review. They've nailed with the extended Mexican menu. But, everything else was lackluster. Service was okay at best and I'm a little surprised they couldn't substitute the carne asada in the Cajun burrito for another meat. It was pretty packed so they're definitely doing something right but I still think there's room for improvement.

I've only been to crabby crabby one time before this time, and I have to say, compared to other places, this place tops them all. The biggest thing for me is the service and our server is super nice and very informative. He was telling us things we didn't even know about, like I did not know they had agua frescas, i got cucumber lime btw, I also ordered 2 lbs of FRESH crawfish because I love crawfish. You should definitely come try it out, It won't disappoint. There's also a really big shark on the ceiling and I love sharks so that's always awesome to see.

First time being at crabby crabby The staff was welcoming. Sat me down quick took my drink order. Brought drink order fast. The michelada was very tasty was not too salty gray flavor and not too think of the tomato juice. We ordered. Half crab and half shrimp. Because it was only two of us. We tried all three sauces together non spicy for my daughter. I loved the flavor. The only thing was it was too oily. Not sure if that is a normal thing in this type of foods. I haven't been to these type of restaurant for a while. Don't remember if need too much oils on them. Garlic noodles was my Favorite. Anything with garlic I loved. Good flavor and can taste the garlic

Louisiana boil and Mexican food is quite a combination but makes Crabby Crabby a hit lunch spot for those in the area or perhaps a feast of a dinner for those looking to celebrate by dining and drinking with the local sports game playing. Situated in a bustling local shopping center equipped with a grocery store, gym, gas station and other eateries as well as neighboring two other fully serviceable shopping centers, Crabby Crabby is crowded out yet stays relevant as the only seafood boil within a few mile radius. Given its proximity to the highway and bridge entrance/exit, this location is prime for commuters and can get a bit hectic during rush hour. But if you're coming off for a lunch break, you're in for a treat with their lunch special combos - one whole pound of seafood with the classic fixings of corn, sausage, and potatoes for less than $15! As you venture into the spacious parking lot and park in the seldomly taken spots in front of the shop, you'll encounter their wall of signs promoting their specials and deals. Taco Tuesdays are available here (2 bucks a taco), 49er game days are also a time to get BOGO bottle beers, and happy hour (5-7 pm) means half price draft beers. Whatever day and time you decide to come in, you can take advantage of the deal and fill up at a fraction of the normal price. The place is pretty spacious and has a few booths and large tables for medium to large parties. It's not a proper boil without the village (but of course it's perfectly fine to come as a village of one - you just better have the stomach to eat all that food)! As we were seated, the staff asked us for drink orders and handed out menus for us to peruse. The menu is pretty extensive as it encompasses a variety of seafood sold at market price, fried appetizers to soak up alcohol and for guilty indulgences, delicious hot entrees to accompany the shellfish and crustaceans, and Mexican cuisine classics. We came in specifically for their lunch special which itself has a few options allowing you to mix and match a half pound of shrimp with other seafood like mussels, scallops, crawfish or clams as well as other staples like garlic noodles and fries. As a party of three, we got three different lunch combos to get a taste of their mollusks. For each boil, you'll have the option to select your mix of spices/flavors and your level of heat/spice. For flavors, you'll have the option among Cajun, garlic butter, lemon pepper or a mix of all three, which they've coined the "Crabby Crabby" mix. As a first timer, go with their signature mix! And as for spice level, you'll be able to go non-spicy, mild, medium, or hot. As heat novices, we opted for the mild and it was the perfect level for us. Upon placing our order, the staff passed out some limes and containers of salt and black pepper to be used to supplement our seafood catch. In addition, they handed out a bib and a pair of gloves per person. It was a fun experience in itself to don the getup, but it definitely was appreciated as we dove into the food with no remorse, completely protected from the splatter of sauces everywhere. It took just a bit of time for the boils to come out in plastic bags, smothered in the seasoning and spices. The seafood was cooked well and the flavors were spread out evenly. The over one pound bags were certainly loaded up and after consuming it all, we were certainly full to the brim. If you do end up needing to take the leftovers to go, they'll help you bag it up. Overall, Crabby Crabby is your local seafood boil offering delicious food at a great value nearly everyday of the week and almost all hours of the day. Its variety of catch is abundant and will certainly satisfy any craving but for those looking for something more terrestrial, they have tacos and burritos filled with some of your favorite beef, pork or chicken fillings. The setting is super casual (you'll appreciate the decorations) so it's likely not a place to host any formal gathering but for any party where it's customary to eat with your hands (finger licking and all), this is the place to be!

Hidden gem alert: $12.99 seafood boils that satisfy. Popped in for a Wednesday girls' lunch and lucked out--weekday combos for just $12.99. We tried Combo 5 (shrimp + scallops, Cajun, medium), Combo 7 (head-on shrimp + clams, Lemon Pepper, mild), and Combo 8 (head-on shrimp + garlic noodles, Crabby Crabby mix, mild). The portions? Surprisingly generous. Each came with corn, potatoes, and fresh, flavorful seafood. Garlic noodles leaned soft and udon-like--still hit the spot. Crabby Crabby was the flavor MVP. Lemon Pepper didn't quite shine, but nothing disappointed. If you're after a seafood boil without the big bill, this lunch deal is a no-brainer. Go hungry. Leave happy.

The base price starts off at $29.95, then you select your food options. There's an uncharged on the most popular selections like lobster and steaks. My lobster was cooked to perfection. Very tender and sweet. The filet was pretty small for the up-charge, and was slight over cooked from the medium rare I ordered. But was still tender and good. The grilled asparagus was a $4 up-charge and you only get 3 spears of asparagus. With the up-charged, my dish, the price was over $46. Lobster Roll - 5/5 The Lobster Roll was very delicious. You get some Lobster tail, but Lobster claw meat is more prominent (see pic). Still the spices along with the clarified butter made this roll very tasty and delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Market Broiler. It's a little pricy for the average consumer for consistent visits, but for special occasions birthdays, Mother's Day, the Market Broiler is a great place to dine.

We parked in a tight space and opened the door to a full waiting area. It was about 5:30 PM. Yelp said to get ready to be seated. Someone that was after us was seated first so I went to the waiter to ask about it. He immediately sat us at a table. We ordered a lot: lobster roll, crab cake, clam chowder, the bag of shrimp, crab legs, and clams (i think?) with the spiciest sauce. Clam chowder: worth ordering. Id order this again. It exceeded my expectations. I might even say it was good or even slightly better than ones found at santa cruzs pier. Crab cake: pass on it. It was nicely cooked. Moist in the inside and crunchy on the outside. The crab blend wasnt my cup of tea. Lobster roll: get if you love lobster hoagie bun - yum! Lobster filling was missing some flavors. It tasted like lobster and hoagie bun. I wanted more of a creamy mixture. The bag: there was a LOT. Expensive at $78. Very spicy! So get it if you like spice. We did. I cant say to get it or not to get it. Loved that we were given bibs. Loved our waitress who checked on us. It is a family business. Would come back if craving for clam chowder. I would get everything else somewhere else and eat the seafood in the bag only if i had mad cravings and didnt want to drive farther.

When the fish cake tempura first arrived, we actually thought it was a basket of French fries! We ended up dipping it in ketchup before realizing what it was. While it was crispy and enjoyable, it was a bit bland on its own and benefited from the extra sauce. Both of us ordered our steaks medium rare, but they arrived closer to medium well. Fortunately, the steaks were served on sizzling hot plates, so I assume some of the additional cooking happened at the table. Despite that, the meal was still enjoyable. The overall presentation reminded me a lot of the Vietnamese dish bò né. The sizzling platter came with steak, noodles, eggs, and bread, creating a similar interactive and comforting dining experience. The bread was especially great for soaking up the sauces and flavors from the plate. One of the highlights was the corn soup, which was surprisingly sweet and delicious. The complimentary teas were also a nice touch and helped balance some of the richness and oiliness of the meal. The portions were very generous, and the meal included a variety of unlimited side items and self-serve options, making it feel like a great value for the price. The restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and organized. Service was excellent throughout our visit. The Pricing Confusion: We placed our order at 5:05 PM, and the server initially took it. However, a few minutes later, they came back to explain it wasn't actually a happy hour deal, but a lunch special. This was frustrating since we had called to confirm and had already ordered. While our other food arrived earlier, we waited over an hour for the shrimp. We watched five separate tables who arrived after us get served their shrimp first. Even though we told the staff a couple of times that our shrimp hadn't arrived yet, we were still left waiting. The shrimp didn't finally arrive until 6-6:10pm. They eventually explained they thought we had already been served and suspected our order had accidentally been packed into a to-go order. The food itself was actually delicious, the shrimp and garlic noodles were very flavorful. I don't even have a photo of the shrimp because by the time it finally arrived, we were so hungry we just started eating! To their credit, once they realized the error, they slashed the price of the 1lb shrimp and gave us free rice to make it right The food is great, but the kitchen organization was a mess during our visit. Management was honest and tried to fix the mistake, but waiting an hour for the main part of your meal while watching five other tables eat is a major headache.

The service was quite good here; they saw when I dropped my chopsticks and replaced it for me almost immediately, and were very attentive to even just eye contact as a request for service. They also offered us a small dish complimentary edamame as a starter and a little scoop of free ice cream at the end, which was a wonderful touch. The food came out really quickly after we ordered. The sashimi was really good! The selection of rolls wasn't my favorite (a lot of them contained crab salad, which I usually don't go for), but I did like the agedashi tofu a lot. If you visit for lunch, they have a couple really great lunch special options. I have tried the 3 rolls for ~$16 combo, and it is definitely worth it. The rolls came out a bit messy and not quite uniform, but they tasted perfectly good. Overall, I would (and have) come back! It feels very much like a middle-of-the-road sushi spot with pretty agreeable pricing, and I think it's a good choice for a casual, unpretentious sushi meal.

Their portions are bigger than I expected, worth it! This is a fun spot to hangout with friends to grab a bite to eat and to watch a spots game or listen to and watch some Kpop MVs. Parking is easy since it is inside of a plaza. The vibes are chill and the workers were quick and efficient. You order your food sort of like dim sum style where they give you a piece of paper to fill out how many of each item you want, etc. Besides their $1 oysters, we got their chow mein, karaage, chicken heart skewers, and their pork belly skewers. Everything was decently good, but we just enjoyed the overall ambience over some yum snacks and good drinks. They were also playing old kpop music which was a plus! We will definitely be back!
