My parents and I decided to go to Crabby Crabby. This is unique because they not only serve seafood but also Mexican food. I basically scrolled through the menu and they have Mexican items. They also do Taco Tuesdays. Haven't had seafood boil for a while and I love to revisit to consume them. Food is really good there especially sausages and crabs. I also had Cajun fries and they're really on point with the seasoning. Crab is really hard to cut especially with the tool to cut it since I'm not really familiar with how to use it. Quite pointy though which made me have to constantly strategize on how to cut it until my dad showed me how. We mainly came here for the seafood boil but perhaps, I should try one of their Mexican dishes as well as fried foods that come with fries. read more

After dining here a few times for celebratory dinners and also regular family dinners, Crabby Crabby is just a hit or a miss. The ambiance is cozy with sailing and hook decor, booth seating and table seating as well. TV screens for those who want to watch the game. The wait is never really an issue, it's just the staff and lack of awareness and urgency in problem solving. There was an incident where we didn't get sausages and corn but it was in our order and we brought it to the staffs attention and a young lady said sorry and she go check on it. A young man came shortly and asked if everything was okay and asked how our meal was and we also explained to him that we are missing the sausages and corn. He apologized and acknowledged and that's all that happened. As we are waiting for those sausages and corn, our very last entree which was the garlic noodles still hadn't arrived. And the same staff checked in with our group five times and we still didn't get the sausages and corn. And the garlic noodles came at the very end after three reminders. I'm not sure what happened or how that got so dragged out. From my point of view, the staff is young and not very experienced, they are working quickly and they are also forgetful. The same staff keeps asking about the same thing but no one is actually going to check inside the kitchen. It was very frustrating and at the end, that's what ruined the meal for us. Having to repeat and ask for the same thing that we ordered and not get it. I'm really disappointed with my experience here today. I placed a to-go order around 12 PM for a pound of shrimp, a super quesadilla for my husband, and tacos for my kids. I was told it would take about 15 minutes, which was totally fine. After about 20 minutes, I asked if I could add eggs to the order and was told my food was already coming out, so I said never mind. At 30 minutes, I checked again and was told it would be ready soon. Then after waiting 40 minutes, I finally asked again because I was confused about what was taking so long, and that's when I was told they didn't have cheese to complete the quesadilla. What upset me most was the lack of communication. I ordered 40 minutes earlier, someone could have told me much sooner instead of letting the rest of my food sit there getting cold. When I asked about it, the response was basically "Do you want a refund or something else?" with no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. I ended up replacing the quesadilla with extra tacos, but after nearly 50 minutes of waiting, my shrimp and my kids' tacos were cold by the time we got them. I honestly started crying when they handed me the food( probably because I'm pregnant ) I had been looking forward to this meal all week, and the whole experience was just frustrating and disappointing. Finally decided to try this spot and was impressed. The service was quick and staff were attentive to our needs. The quality of the seafood is also good- additional $2 for fresh crawfish but I didn't mind. We got the crabby crabby medium and it was the perfect spice. Made a reservation for a saturday night but walk in would have been fine - there were customers for sure but no wait at all. The service was great, they came by to check in, took follow up orders as well. The combo itself did take a hot second to come out, but it was piping hot when it did. My favorite was the shrimp, followed by crawfish, followed by lobster tail. The lobster was not tender. Garlic fries came out hot also, with LOTS of garlic on top (note: garlic not that cooked, so it had a bite, which I personally liked, but was unexpected). Overall the ambiance was good. We came in around 7:30 pm and it wasn't packed at all. We were seated right away and had our order taken quickly. We ordered 2 lb head-on shrimp with sausages, 1 lb crawfish with potatoes, and a side of Cajun fries. For both the shrimp and crawfish, we chose the Crabby Crabby mix (original Cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic butter) with mild spice. Everything tasted SO good. I've only been to crabby crabby one time before this time, and I have to say, compared to other places, this place tops them all. The biggest thing for me is the service and our server is super nice and very informative. He was telling us things we didn't even know about, like I did not know they had agua frescas, i got cucumber lime btw, I also ordered 2 lbs of FRESH crawfish because I love crawfish. Louisiana boil and Mexican food is quite a combination but makes Crabby Crabby a hit lunch spot for those in the area or perhaps a feast of a dinner for those looking to celebrate by dining and drinking with the local sports game playing. Situated in a bustling local shopping center equipped with a grocery store, gym, gas station and other eateries as well as neighboring two other fully serviceable shopping centers, Crabby Crabby is crowded out yet stays relevant as the only seafood boil within a few mile radius. Given its proximity to the highway and bridge entrance/exit, this location is prime for commuters and can get a bit hectic during rush hour. But if you're coming off for a lunch break, you're in for a treat with their lunch special combos - one whole pound of seafood with the classic fixings of corn, sausage, and potatoes for less than $15! As you venture into the spacious parking lot and park in the seldomly taken spots in front of the shop, you'll encounter their wall of signs promoting their specials and deals. Taco Tuesdays are available here (2 bucks a taco), 49er game days are also a time to get BOGO bottle beers, and happy hour (5-7 pm) means half price draft beers. Whatever day and time you decide to come in, you can take advantage of the deal and fill up at a fraction of the normal price. The place is pretty spacious and has a few booths and large tables for medium to large parties. It's not a proper boil without the village (but of course it's perfectly fine to come as a village of one - you just better have the stomach to eat all that food)! As we were seated, the staff asked us for drink orders and handed out menus for us to peruse. The menu is pretty extensive as it encompasses a variety of seafood sold at market price, fried appetizers to soak up alcohol and for guilty indulgences, delicious hot entrees to accompany the shellfish and crustaceans, and Mexican cuisine classics. We came in specifically for their lunch special which itself has a few options allowing you to mix and match a half pound of shrimp with other seafood like mussels, scallops, crawfish or clams as well as other staples like garlic noodles and fries. As a party of three, we got three different lunch combos to get a taste of their mollusks. For each boil, you'll have the option to select your mix of spices/flavors and your level of heat/spice. For flavors, you'll have the option among Cajun, garlic butter, lemon pepper or a mix of all three, which they've coined the "Crabby Crabby" mix. As a first timer, go with their signature mix! And as for spice level, you'll be able to go non-spicy, mild, medium, or hot. As heat novices, we opted for the mild and it was the perfect level for us. Upon placing our order, the staff passed out some limes and containers of salt and black pepper to be used to supplement our seafood catch. In addition, they handed out a bib and a pair of gloves per person. It was a fun experience in itself to don the getup, but it definitely was appreciated as we dove into the food with no remorse, completely protected from the splatter of sauces everywhere. It took just a bit of time for the boils to come out in plastic bags, smothered in the seasoning and spices. The seafood was cooked well and the flavors were spread out evenly. The over one pound bags were certainly loaded up and after consuming it all, we were certainly full to the brim. If you do end up needing to take the leftovers to go, they'll help you bag it up. Overall, Crabby Crabby is your local seafood boil offering delicious food at a great value nearly everyday of the week and almost all hours of the day. Its variety of catch is abundant and will certainly satisfy any craving but for those looking for something more terrestrial, they have tacos and burritos filled with some of your favorite beef, pork or chicken fillings. Went here with my family over the weekend and luckily arrived right before the rush. We ordered Combo Deal #3, which came with a whole Dungeness crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, corn and sausages. We also added an order of hardboiled eggs (comes with 3). On the side, we tried the garlic noodles and fried oysters w/ sweet potato fries. My husband and I took my Mom here for Mother's Day. There was no wait because we had a reservation, but there were a lot of people outside waiting for a table, so if you want to come here, I highly recommend a reservation. The restaurant was fairly large, so it seemed like a good place for families and for smaller gatherings, like my table of 3. The servers were nice, but I will say we were barely checked up on and our drinks were never refilled. The servers were pretty busy, so it was difficult to get their attention when something was needed. The food was good, I especially liked the green mussels, but it took 40 minutes to get our food, and I was about ready to leave if it took a minute more. So even though the food was good, I don't think it was worth the wait. I could find another crab boil spot just as good with a shorter wait. When my daughter comes to visit from NYC, we always take her to wherever and whatever restaurants that she's craving for. She loves Cajun seafood, so I looked for a new one to take her. Last time we went to Cajun Bistro 7 (not again) and Cajun Crack'n (good), this time we tried Crabby Crabby in Newark. This one took the place of a sushi restaurant that we came years ago (pier 98?). It's in a big shopping center so there are plenty of parkings. The place is bright and clean, one thing we noticed is plenty of TV along the walls with football playing on Sunday night (49'er). My daughter and my wife wanted the combo #2, but since my daughter also wanted the garlic noodles, the nice pleasant, attentive server with a digital pad recommended combo #3 that comes with garlic noodles, better deal so we took it. For my son, fried catfish and cajun fries, and me, always Gumbo. For the prices, this restaurant has the best values for what we get over all restaurants we've been to. The service is excellent, pleasant, quick and attentive. The foods are amazingly tastier over all the others. The house original sauce is really good although medium spicy is too hot for me, but my wife and daughter like it even she's eating and drinking water at the same time with running nose, LOL. That $115 combo had plenty of seafoods for 4 but too much for 2. My son gobbles the catfish and fries in a flash, it's quite crispy and tasty. My Gumbo is watery but quite delicious, my wife had a taste and she drinks all the soup The cajun fries are crispy and excellent, the garlic noodles is flavorful and cooked just right unlike Cajun Bistro 7 soggy one. The kids need to go to Dublin for an Escape Room so we didn't have enough time to finish all the foods, we took them home for later. Service was poor at this establishment. Our server was pulled away for a task and we went 20+ minutes without anyone checking on us. Every time I tried getting someone's attention I was ignored like I wasn't their problem. Our order was wrong and that was resolved once it was brought to our waiter's attention but I told the manager (or who claimed to be one when grabbing the card terminal from our table when it was just placed there to check ourselves out) that the other servers had poor teamwork and that they shouldn't look at other tables waving at them and just ignore. The food was ok - the lobster tail was tough from being overcooked, garlic noodles good, the muscles were good, and I can't rate the shrimp because it was never provided. The overall crabby crabby flavoring wasn't standout in any way and not worth a trip to because there's better out there. The ambiance was good and I was overall excited for this place. $12.99 for a pound of seafood?! Say less, I'm there. Came into Crabby Crabby for lunch after hearing about their amazing happy hour deals (11:30AM-3PM) and was seated immediately upon arrival. I ordered the happy hour Combo #3 (1/2lb head-on shrimp & 1/2lb crawfish) with an additional 1/2lb of king crab legs. Just a note - they do charge an additional $2 when requesting half pounds! The combos come with 2 pieces of corn, 2 potatoes, and 4 slices of smoked sausage. Whenever I come to seafood boil places, I always struggle deciding what to get (cause I love all seafood)... with prices & combos like this, I can get a little bit of everything, which makes me so happy!! I got everything with their specialty Crabby Crabby sauce at a medium spice level. At $12.99/lb I was kind of expecting the quality of the seafood to be lower, but I was so impressed with the freshness of the shrimp & the crawfish! None of them were mushy or overcooked, and the heads were delightfully sweet, not overly bitter or fishy! A 1/2lb of king crab gets you 1 leg, but my god was it worth it. Not overcooked, and had the perfect bounce you'd expect from king crab - all of the meat came out of the shells fairly easily as well! I gave it 4 stars, but if we're being real--it's more of a solid 3.5 for me. The inside is cute with a fun fisherman vibe, and there's a giant shark hanging from the ceiling that'll definitely keep the kids entertained (and maybe make adults do a double take too). The mussels were massive and meaty, and the clams were honestly my favorite. The kiddo got chicken tenders and lemon pepper fries--the fries weren't bad! Super flavorful, and they hook you up with plenty of lemons and protective gear so you can go full beast mode without ruining your clothes. They need to update there prices they are using the old prices on the menu and charging you the new prices and when asked about it they keep saying there updating there menu but I've been coming here for a few months and they still have not updated there prices on there menu I asked can I get the price on the menu the manager totally ignored me WOW!!!! there FALSE ADVERTISING on there menu so check your receipt and make sure there charging you the right price (not a good look) read more

How did it take me so long to try this?! Someone advertised Taco Tuesday on IG so I thought I'd give it a try. It's the cheapest dinner I've had out in....well, ever. They offer carne asada, al pastor, and pollo asado for $1.99. There are other meat options at regular price. The tacos were overloaded with the most flavorful meat. On a separate visit I tried the lobster with crabby mix, mild and easy peel shrimp with Cajun, medium. Both offer so much flavor and the perfect punch of Cajun seasoning. Both come in plastic bags. Each order comes with bibs, lemons, and salt and pepper. Gloves are available on request. Their garlic noodles are fire and the claim chowder soup is amazing. The sausage is a tad spicy. Potatoes and corn are cooked perfectly. They have beer, wine, agua frescas, and Pepsi products. The atmosphere is loud with music playing throughout. There are multiple TVs playing various sports. My wife just wanted a whole steamed lobster for Mother's day. Hard to find options around here, Red Lobster is gone, didn't want to try Ray's crab shack, Market Broiler doesn't sell whole lobster, decided to buy out instead of doing it at home. So, went with this place for first time and bill was over $100 for whole lobster, gumbo, garlic fries, and garlic bread. Granted they were slammed because it was mother's day. All the employees were hustling and doing their best. However, foodwise, everything was sad. We'll never be coming back. Lobster: ordered non-spicy and butter/garlic on the side. The whole lobster was in a bag full of cajun spice sauce. No butter/garlic on the side as the website states. Had to rinse the whole thing to get rid of most of the unwanted spice broth. Claws were ok, tail was good flavor just very small. Paying almost 3x for a full lobster vs. just the tail now seemed like a mistake. And in the future, advertice that you drench everything in cajun goo sauce please. Gumbo: Not bad, not memorable, a few large pieces of shrimp, hard to find the sausage but it was there, not spicy. Really the only thing it had going for is was not being overly salty. Garlic Fries: Fries were ok, giant vat of chopped garlic on the side, but what ruined them was the cajun spice sprinkled all over the fries. We ordered garlic fries, not cajun fries. They either screwed it up or this is what they think garlic fries are, which they were not. Garlic Bread: Not really bread so much as smaller versions of Olive Garden bread sticks. Now I see why they were only $3. Edible but boring, missing garlic and since they were round and smooth it was impossible to use some of the chopped garlic from the fries to make them better. This is not a seafood restuarant as much as a southern bayou/cajun place. At least Backyard Bayou has a suitable name. This place was a complete and utter disappointment and extremely overpriced. I would not recommend them to anyone. Definitely there's a market opportunity in this town for good seafood that no one is filling. PS I'm changing my review to 2 stars from 1 but only for the awesome staff and hustle. Food I was not impressed with. My expectation was just different than what was given. Still, that lobster was totally not worth $60. read more

I really liked Crabby Crabby. They are my current favorite shrimp boil spot! The spice levels tend to be a little hotter than the average place, which I like, because it's more in tune with my tolerance. The sauce is so good. The deals are well worth it, too. The place is clean and well kept. It's not over crowded with tables and the service is good. Shout out to Manuel, he's the best! I've had positive experiences eating in and ordering take out. They also sell their sauce alone if you're interested in buying it. read more
