So of course we made new plans, made sure our schedules are were open so we can snag a meal after a round of coffee. Today was that day! I did check out the menu online the night before. I like to see what they have and what their menu entails. The red curry coconut noodles really caught by eye! Noodles, broth, curry!?! 3 of my favorite things in a bowl! So,I went to the food truck feeling 100% in my food choice. Well, the red curry noodles were not an option so I had to look over the menu again. Total bummer since I had my heart and stomach set on it. After reading the menu board over and over again and it was still early enough that ordering breakfast wasn't weird, I decided on the Croque madame. Grilled ham and cheese with an egg, it sounded good. My sandwich did not look like it came out of a food truck. It also doesn't look like it should be in a to go container. My sandwich was a work of art! The egg was cooked perfectly. The fondue sauce was snow white. The pieces of cilantro added a beautiful color to it and was nicely sprinkled all over. It was just too pretty to eat! This sandwich is messy so the fork and knife that was provided for me was used! The bread was very soft and fresh! It toasted and buttery. There was so much ham! It made the sandwich very hearty. The egg yolk was runny and jammy. The cheese fondue was rich and savory. The heirloom tomatoes added a nice freshness to the sandwich. All together it was a very thick sammy. All the flavors were fantastic but it did get overwhelming to eat after few bites. I enjoyed the fondue but it was a lot for me. The fondue is very rich and you add all the other elements and it gets to be too much. If I order this again, I'll probably order it without the fondue. There's already cheese in the sandwich so it was overwhelming with the cheese sauce added to it. My friend ordered the chipotle breakfast sandwich and it looked amazing. It was simple and it looked like something I would have really enjoyed vs what I had ordered. I did ask the gentleman in the food truck if they will have the curry noodles anytime soon. With the cold weather coming, they are anticipating the noodles too be back. I look forward to that! I haven't frequented many food trucks but this one has really set the bar high! The quality of the ingredients used were fantastic and fresh. The service was great. The food truck itself was pretty neat. The location is fun and chill. I know we will be back and I look forward to having that bowl of noodles. If not noodles then I'm sure I will be able to find something that will be delicious.

And, the dogs are allowed to meander around with us, which makes everything so much easier. You can bring a blanket and sit on the hill, listen to live music, pick your poison for lunch, and enjoy all the people. They have different food trucks come in every week, so there's always something different for lunch, or to snack on. And, let's not forget that it's just beautiful, and feels so good to be outside. Did I already mention it's on the Greenbelt....the river is right there! It doesn't really get much better than this in Boise. Stop for lunch, enjoy on the weekend, or just drop in for a break during your afternoon Greenbelt walk. Just do it.

The live music was a huge bonus, and it's easy to see why this place is popular. The prices are reasonable, and it's great that they offer catering and Taco Tuesday specials. The flavors were excellent, and it's a vegetarian's dream with plenty of creative options. My only complaint was the nachos. They look incredible when they arrive, but they're a little more about presentation than function. I was hoping for a bit more meat and a better balance of toppings to make them easier to eat. That's the only reason for the four stars. Everything else was fantastic, and with just a little more substance behind the presentation, this would easily be a five-star restaurant.

I have visited this food truck several times but only purchased food once. The Tri-Tip Bowl, which is the item I want to try, is always sold out. In addition to the regular menu, they always have a few specials. These photos are from my visit on 10/31/20. Here is what I ordered: Choripan ($7) - This is a traditional sandwich with homemade chorizo sausage. I got the El Gaucho, which comes with lettuce and tomato. It is on homemade bread. While I enjoyed the homemade chorizo, which is completely different than Mexican or Basque chorizo, there was simply too much bread for me. This is a huge sandwich that can satisfy two. Empanadas ($2.50) - These are available in beef, chicken and veggie. I got one of each. I liked them all, but preferred the beef. They come with a side of chimichurri sauce. Alfajor ($1.50) - This is a traditional sandwich cookie filled with dulce de leeches, a creamy caramel confection made from milk and sugar. Caramel isn't my favorite, but anyone who enjoys it would like this. Flan Evita ($4.50) - This is basically Chocoflan, which is a combination of chocolate cake on the bottom with flan on top. It was open air ambiance with tables to sit down at if you want to eat there. There's also little lights that light up around the table area. Will be going back again.
