A bit disappointing, not sure I would return. Came here for Mother's Day with my Mom who is vegetarian/vegan adjacent lol. I was excited to come, having heard good things and was excited to support a black owned business. I myself am not vegan/vegetarian, but I don't mind eating vegan/vegetarian things and have tasted plenty of food in that category. My overall experience was that Slutty Vegan just didn't live up to the hype. They were expensive and the food wasn't all that especially for the price. It's basically a burger and fries (which you can get cheaper pretty much anywhere else) for almost $20. I paid $21.75 for the Fussy Hussy burger and ice cream which had no flavor besides the red chili flakes I wish I asked them to take off. It was a very messy burger, (not my preference) a bit soggy too but it was a large portion. The impossible burger from Burger King is better. The fries were the best thing, very seasoned and crisp, very good. The ice cream also had a strange aftertaste. I know it has cashew nut butter but it wasn't sweet enough and was pretty flavorless to me. Some things are hard to capture in its non dairy, non meat form so I get that but the prices could be much lower. Charging $5 for water is crazy to me. Now, the banana pudding was phenomenal! I know they are mainly a carry out place, but I wish they had more indoor seating. I suppose that's what Bar Vegan next door is for. They let us sit outside and that was great! I love the bold decor and the customer service was really good. But I couldn't justify going back for sides when I could get fries and banana pudding many other places for cheaper prices. I've been looking forward to Slutty's opening in "Port Covington" for sometime now, as I love what Owner Pinky Cole is all about. I ordered the Sloppy Toppy, and it most certainly lived up to all the hype and expectations. The accompanying crinkle fries were equally outstanding, and I'm looking forward to a return visit. What prevented a "Great" rating though, first and foremost, 20 bucks for a burger and fries, is, well, not gonna encourage routine visits regardless of how great the food is, and I'm afraid others will equally come to this conclusion, and could possibly lead to the demise of yet another eating establishment in Balto. A couple minor observations others here have expressed, seating is extremely limited to 2 booths, and a few bar stools, maybe consider dialing down the volume of the music as I could barely hear the person taking our order, oh and when the line waiting to place orders grows, consider putting a second person on register, as we waited prob close to 10 mins to order, which was then filled in literally a few minutes. read more

Heard about this place on the news and was excited to have a new vegan place in Baltimore. It was probably a 4.5 experience - five for the food, 3 for the ambience. Here's the deal. The place is cool, the name is funny, the staff is very friendly, and the food is FANTASTIC. This was all overshadowed by the staff constantly yelling. I get that this is the schtick, but as soon as you walk in - for EVERYONE - the staff yells, "Another slut in the building!" (Or something similar) - again & again & again, to the point where I had a huge headache by the time I left. I took a look at the line, which featured a number of what looked like very uncomfortable ladies, who were constantly referred to as "sluts" by the male lead (manager?). If you're going to insist on doing this, at least let it be a woman yelling at other women. However, I would highly suggest to management that they course correct this ASAP & stop it, because you can't hear your companions & it's not a good environment for a meal. Finally, two orders (both included fries) were over $50, a bit pricey. Again, the food was fabulous, but I'll likely go a few times a year due to the price. Slutty vegan is cool. We tried the dancehall queen and sloppy toppy. They tasted ok. The only thing i disliked was the taste of the iceberg lettuce. The fries were the star of the show. The restaurant is new in a beautiful location. It's connected to Bar Vegan that I really want to try. There isn't much seating so I sat on the window sill while I waited. I ordered online and my food was ready about 45 minutes after I ordered. I waited a while. Customer service was nonexistent. Some of those employees did not want to be there Well neither did I. I didn't expect to wait 25 minutes after I arrived for my order. Overall I'd give 3.5 stars. I went at night and parking seems like an issue. It wasn't crowded, maybe around ten people, but we waited over an hour while others were served before us. The burgers are absolutely delicious! As someone who grew up eating Morningstar products until Monsanto, I am used to meatless burgers and meatless products. My husband had the banana pudding, it was delish. They have a small bar to sit but it maxes out at 4 people.
