I am so impressed by Smack Daddy Pizza I will not order from anyplace ever again, there pizza is as good as you can get.

Expensive, doughy, stingy toppings. We paid $21 for a medium pizza. It was dry, the crust was over proofed, and the first time I called, the order taker hung up on me. Go to the grocery store and buy a Digiorno. It tastes better. read more

The toppings were deliciously well proportioned and the pie looking crust was just perfect (Not too thin nor too thick nor greasy). I FINALLY TRIED THE WINGS! i understand now! i only had a lb of half hot, half lemon pepper, and i gotta say that they were better without the sauce. the lemon pepper wings were so crispy and mouth watering and by far one of the better lemon pepper ones i've had. someone mentioned they got 10 for $6 and i got ~10 for $8, so keep that in mind. read more

After several iterations, the current pizza shop incarnation at this location is a winner. Pizza is one of those things that everyone has an opinion about. Typically, I prefer NY-style pizza. This is not that, but it is really good. Crust - medium thin, medium crisp Sauce - good consistency and fresh flavor Toppings - enough to enjoy, but not so many that it is hard to eat Cheese - I really like it and they get it just the right amount of brown on the top On the down side, while the place is serviced by friendly people, we almost gave up on them. They are open to 9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and they are closed on Sundays - what? Their credit card machine was broken on a Friday night (they worked this out, but...) They have an expired $5 off coupon prominently displayed on their website that they will not honor (It expired 5/21/11). These are all minor things, but they add up. Anyhow, I recommend their pizza if you want it before 9 pm on most nights, and I hope they get the rest of their act together so they can stay around for a while. read more

A friend recommended Smackdaddy awhile back (aghast at my Blackjack, which in my book is still good, inexpensive pizza), and I must say, they make a good pie. I have enjoyed all the pizzas I have ordered from them - chicken, bacon and artichoke, the meatdaddy, even the parmesan knots (which can be a bit undercooked in the middle, bit still good). The Italian sandwich is everything I want - Italian deli meats with some lettuce, tomato and smothered in Italian dressing. Give them a try, it's a refreshing change from the chains. read more

Service was great... pizza was just bland. Not the worst I've had, but definitely no where near the best either. Mediocre at best to be honest. The garlic knots were good, but overdone and not really enough garlic on them to call them "garlic" knots. read more

We wanted a good pizza place but that's not what we got. I would prefer Pizza hut over this place because of the thin pizza I was offered that lacked flavor. The service was also very slow since we waited 45 min plus for a large pizza and garlic knots while no one seemed to be there. It was also my first time coming to this place and a disappointment. The worst part about the expensive thin pizza I received is I gave my feedback to the business through an email over a month ago and it was completely ignored. read more

Great pizza and a good price! My wife and I are so tired of these middle of the road pizza joints. We rarely ever order pizza out anymore because the pizza around here is terrible and totally over priced. What we resorted to is making our own pies at home and when my wife suggested ordering out tonight I sighed. *CO FLOOD* I came here bec. I like trying out local pizza places, and they are rare nowadays. It was GREAT...just think: enough crust, lots of real cheese and hand-rolled crust. they have a $6 lunch special for an 8" pizza AND can of pop! cant beat it. -- I later heard about them donating pizzas to the local school football game. -- I was displaced from my home and car because of the 100-year flood, and had been to the place a couple of times, to thank some volunteers who drove me around to appointments. One day he surprised me & let me borrow his truck for a few days to get to doc apptms. and a Resource Center. What a heart-warming surpise. Tried Smack Daddy a few week s ago for the first timed I enjoyed it very much.

I picked up my pizza at their location on Main St. The place smelled awful, like formaldehyde. When it was time to pay, the cashier charged me almost 15 dollars for a large pizza, two toppings. The total sounded funny, so when I got home I looked at the flyer I had from there; it read : $10.00 large pizza with one topping. extra toppings $1.75. That doesn't add up to $15, even with taxes, lack of integrity. I'm never purchasing from Smack Daddy Pizza again. read more

I can see, reading prior reviews, that people have had mixed experiences with this pizzeria. Obviously, Smack Daddy has been working to improve performance. I've eaten pizza all over, and I was impressed with what I received from this local joint. I ordered for delivery at 8pm on a Friday night - wings and a huge 20" pizza, 1/2 whitedaddy and 1/2 grand daddy. OMG. Smack Daddy got it right in all departments. The pizza crust was light, wonderfully crisp beneath, thin but not cracker, and the rolled edge was to die for. Just the right volume of toppings and cheese for me and the others who scoffed this excellent huge pie. We loved the way it was cut in squares, making it so easy to enjoy for a group / family. The wings were freshly cooked, succulent, and a bargain, 10 for $6. The delivery was fast, arriving exactly when they said it would, and the delivery guy was very pleasant. Placing the order was easy and efficient. The pizza and wings were hot when they arrived, but I still placed some slices in my toaster-oven so that they would stay hot as folks were eating. Well, that made them even better - crisping that crust a tad more! It's been a long time since I had such a delicious pizza, and I have ordered from all over Longmont. I would not hesitate to order from Smack Daddy again. $28 for this great pizza and wings dinner - easily feeding four or five people - was a good deal, in my opinion. I plan to order again, and I'll update this review over the next few months with comments about consistency. I hope I enjoy the next pizza as much as I loved last night's fabulous meal! read more

I Don't get why all the negative reviews. No, this is not your gourmet authentic Italian pizza but it's better than pizza Hut/dominoes or any of the chain pizza places. Based on the reviews my dad and I decided to try here for pizza and we were not disappointed. In my opinion, the crust was perfect, not too thick and not too thin, but if you like a crisp, crunchy crust, this pizza might not be for you. The cheese was great, though my dad somehow got a strand under his chin, and the toppings were not piled on, which was good. I liked the olive oil/garlic that they spread on the crust after it was done baking. The garlic knots are definitely worth a try, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. WORST PIZZA PLACE EVER! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Recently moved to Longmont and was looking for a go to pizza place. So we decided to try Smack Daddy. Well, we ordered on a Friday night and we went to pick it up. The order was wrong we ordered a bacon pizza and it was just cheese. We didn't realize it till we got home and then we decided to go back because we LOVE bacon. The women working who must of been the owner said that we were the ones that ordered wrong and it was our fault... Our jaws drop to the floor because we could not believe she was blaming us. Then we decided to just ask for a cup of bacon that we could spread on the pizza and she then was going to charge us 3 dollars for it even though this was all their fault to begin with..... That Sunday (we love pizza) we decided to give it one more chance because it is the closest pizza place to our new home. This time we decided to order take out. Order a pepperoni & sausage pizza and a 2liter soda. Well we got it and it was just a pepperoni pizza and no 2 liter. I was FURIOUS. This was the second time this weekend that they had gotten our order wrong. I called and it was the women whom I'm guessing was the one we dealt with on Friday. I explained to her my frustrations and she said that she is sorry and that she will totally reimburse my order. She then called me 15 min later asking who took my order and I said I don't know blah blah. I waited a week for the money to come back on my account and nothing. So I decided to call. Someone answers and says the owner will call me back and NOTHING... Month later and still not reimbursed. Whom ever runs this business has no idea about customer loyalty. We are great customers who love pizza and this by far is the worst place you could order from. They have certainly lost our business and all our neighbors. read more

Absolutely horrible pizza and service. The woman who claimed to be the owner was very rude and condescending. While I was on the phone with her she was also very rude to someone (I assume a customer) in the store, by telling them "I am the owner, you can just hold on a minute!" Then went on to bitch to me about this person needing change, like I care, or wanted her screaming at someone in my ear. Wow, SmackDaddy Pizza ROCKS! A friend recommended them to us on Super Bowl Sunday and we gave them a try and boy, they know how to rock a pizza! We've ordered from them at least 4x since that day! Their crust is thin (not crispy), with braided edges and it has great flavor. All of the toppings are fresh and their cheese is buttery and rich. I'm getting hungry now just thinking of it and it's 11am, ha! Staff has been friendly and they are pretty fast. Love SDP, give them a try! read more

When is yelp going to start allowing people to give 0 stars? I should start by saying that the regular pizza according to my husband is good. My issue with this place has to do with their gluten free pizza option. Normally, my husband and I are gluten free. Every once in awhile we will have a cheat hence my above comment. However, since they make a huge fuss about how how great their gluten free pizza is I thought I would try it. Called to place my order for two gluten free pizzas. And was told it would be an additional $8.00 per pizza for the gluten free. Now I guess I should be thankful that the guy on the phone told me this in advance so I could cancel my order, but this is ridiculous! I have been gluten free for 5.5 years so I am entirely use to being charged extra for gluten free. It is usually $2-4 extra. $8.00 is insane! In response to the $8.00 gouging I asked the guy if the gluten free pizza is awesome. His response "It is the best gluten free pizza you will ever have. You will never eat another gluten free pizza again." Those are some high standards. He then proceeded to tell me that the crust is from Sweet Escapes. To which my response was "Their gluten free crust isn't anything special and definitely not worth $8.00 extra." There was a time when you could buy Sweet Escapes from their retail office in Longmont. Is there gluten free pizza good? Sure but not any better than running to Natural Grocers and buying Udi's or Out of the Breadbox's crust and making it yourself. I realize that Sweet Escapes charges places a ridiculous amount for their products and that most places pass the cost on to the consumer, but under no circumstances should two pizza's cost $38+. It is suppose to be cheap budget food. Also why don't any of these pizza places make their own gluten free crusts? Every place in CO seems to purchase pre-bought gluten free crusts which is shocking considering how up on gluten free this state is. For the Record, Smack Daddy's, the best gluten free pizza can be found at Buddy's Pizza in Michigan (of all places.) They make their own gluten free crust in house and they don't charge anything extra for it. Gluten free cheese pizza at Buddy's= $7.49 and Smack Daddy's (for a far inferior product)= $17.95. How you can in good consciousness go on and on about your superior gluten free pizza and then gouge your customers for an average product is incredibly upsetting! I Will never order pizza from this place again, even on a cheat, out of principle. read more

My fellow yelpers let me down on this one! This is in the running for the worst pizza I have ever had. I had a valpak coupon so I thought I would give it a try- I ordered a large pizza with onions and peppers, and the cheesy knots. The knots were very mediocre- bits of dough with shredded cheese, most of which was at the bottom of the box. The pizza was almost inedible. It didn't even look appetizing. Rarely is there leftover pizza in our house that I won't at least save, but I couldn't eat more than one slice. Soggy cardboard crust, tasteless sauce and something very "off" about the flavor here. I usually try to visit places several times before writing a review but I won't be checking this one out again. There's got to be better delivery in Longmont. read more

O Smack Daddy Pizza, how do i love thee? Let me count the ways... I forgot that i had a yelp account, and came here fully intending to create one just to tell the world how great i think this place is. I am somewhat known for my blind luck. I've turned my self/family/friends on to some wonderful things that we now all share that I only happened to stumble upon. Finding Smack Daddy Pizza makes me miss my family back home thinking about how they wont be able to share this latest find of mine. Man are these people good. I got the ad in the mail, one of the loose papered ad-things we mostly just throw away at the mail box, but this one got brought inside. I happened to thumb through it hungrily one afternoon and found their ad. Good deals, simple prices. Had the feeling of something fresh and eager to please. I gave them a call for a pie for a friend and I. Now, I've been in phone service for a few years of my life and I appreciate to the fullest people with good phone etiquette, especially in a business capacity. The gal on the phone was a wonder. Nice voice, upbeat, happy to share info, called me honey without sounding like the waitress at the truck stop, the full works. I was already starting to feel those lucky dice rattling in my head. Shortly thereafter our pizza arrives- a 20" monster with red onions and chicken. Same gal as on the phone, beautiful and as friendly as she was on the phone. Asked how i heard about them, seem stoked when i said the mail ad so i guess her to be part of the family who owns it/owner herself. That gave me a great feeling about choosing them, helping out a new business who love and are honestly invested in what they do. Great customer service. Pizza was killer. No games with huge floppy pieces, square cut so we could get to business. Fed me and a pal and his son to the brim with 1/3 of a pie to spare, and let me tell you, thats no mean feat in my case. I was pretty much hooked. I had no idea. Few days later I looked online at their menu-Boom. simple layout, sensible straight forward pricing. Most everything to the dollar-Sandwich $6, salad $4, 2 litre $2. I did some creative math and on my next order got 2 sandwiches, big salad and a soda for $20 including a good tip! THEN I TRIED THEIR STEAK SANDWICH Whats the word, ya----Fuggedaboutit. Perfectly tender steak, minced and swimming in cheese with peppers and onions sautee'd to crisp yet tender perfection! What a sandwich! $6! Fuggedaboutit.. Let me in on the biz guys, you are going to make a mint. I order as often as I can without feeling guilty/when i have the Money. Which, again, you don't need much of. Thank you Smack Daddy. To the person who made my sandwich( that i am letting get cold to write this-not something im usually willing to do) just for me, as the delivery gal told me, you are a wonder, and your customer service and wonderful food is why i wall always call you guys for my pies and steak bombs. I love to cook, and i believe that the only way to make truly special food is with love and a genuine desire to make the people who will eat it happy. Fantastic, beginning to end. I googled for pizza nearby and was pleasantly surprised to see a place only a couple of blocks from home.. a must on a walk-only or delivery type of evening. The girl who took the order was spot on with timing.. I saw my pizza (a medium with pepperoni and mushroom) pop out of the oven within only a minute of walking into the door. I was greeted with friendly service, the pizza was treated with care, and I walked out happy. To top it off, the most important part - the pizza is delicious. Crust is thin and tasty. The sauce has great tomato-y flavor with just a hint of savory spices, and it is well-topped. Great job! I just found my new (first!) favorite Longmont Pizza Place. read more

Smack Daddy Pizza in Longmont is an expensive but cheap imitation to the real Smack Daddy Pizza on Federal Blvd in Denver, Colorado. When these rude people pushed out Mark from this restaurant, the food became gross and inconsistent. They can't even get the crust right anymore and I've heard that they have even asked Mark to come up and make the dough for them. Their prices are jacked and the food is terrible. What they call fresh is frozen or canned. Do NOT GO to this restaurant. If you want REAL EXCELLENT PIZZA, drive to the REAL Smack Daddy Pizza on South Federal Blvd in Denver. First off, nice folks run the place; very friendly and cheerful. However, there is better pizza to be found in town. The other day I purchased my first item from Smack Daddy, a 20-inch 2-topping pizza. My initial impression upon carrying the box out of the store was that it seemed a bit light in weight for such a large box containing a 2-topping pizza (especially after having paid a lofty $20 plus tax for the item). Arriving home and taking a fist peek helped to reveal why; the toppings were rather small and scarce, the crust quite thin, and the sauce & cheese amounts were small enough to where the pizza as a whole was actually fairly dry. Heating in the oven helped the latter issue slightly, but overall we found this pizza to be mediocre in both presentation and flavor. (Please note that this is merely constructive criticism; if a restaurant wants to make it in this town, it's got to offer what customers perceive as a fair shake for their money, and food quality is the key.) read more
