On the Abo's box it says in big bold letters "all pizza is not created equally". That saying is especially true for the pizza in that box. I ordered the family special so 2 large 1 topping pizzas with a bottle of soda for around $40. It seemed like a fair deal and since it's hard for pizza to be so bad I won't eat it I figured I'd roll the dice. For a Friday evening delivery was about as expected maybe 90 min. The email confirmation said it would be over an hour and the delivery guy was nice and followed delivery instructions. The stars this review gets are mostly his. I chose garlic as one topping and basil on the second pie. The garlic pie was significantly better but seemed to just have more sauce and cheese on it while the basil pie looked tired and had a chewy tough crust the minute I opened the box. I'd believe you if you told me the delivery guy picked these pizzas up from 2 different locations. Anyway it's hard to make pizza inedible so we had dinner. I even tried to eat a slice for lunch the next day but ultimately threw away about half the pizza by Sunday. Maybe this is a style of pizza that just didn't hit home with me. They have great deals on single slices too, which is always a good choice. The wings are also made really well, they are super juicy and the buffalo sauce they use is the perfect amount of spice for a Caucasian family of 4. Great price, delicious pizza, friendly staff. I am so disappointed in the service and pizza at Abo's now. I grew up on this pizza.... loved this pizza. But now, it is a different story. Over the last year, the service has become worst, and the pizzas haven't been good. I gave them a pass because of covid, and the history I've had with them. I can no longer do that. The last time I ordered a pizza to go, I was told that it was a 45 minute wait. I got there 5 minutes early, only to find out that they hadn't started my pizza yet. I waited another 35 minutes before my pizza was ready to go. That said, the guy behind the counter rang me up before I got the pizza. The credit card machine suggested that I tip them. Which I did. I am always concerned when the cashier is glaring at you and watching whether or not you tip... what kind of care they are going to give your food order. This was the case here... so I tipped. In my mind, they were doing nothing special to earn a tip. I ordered by phone... I came in to pick up the pizza... The pizza wasn't even started... and took 1 hour and 25 minutes to get.... and I was paying before they even started it, after waiting 45 minutes. This practice is common... but wrong. What are we tipping for? How did they earn their "extra" money?!!! Anyway... I did tip 20% on top of an expensive pizza ($26.00 for a Large).... After waiting so long I got my pie... and headed home to eat. When I got home, I tried to get the pizza out of the box.... but it was stuck to the box!!!! I soon learned that this was because the crust... the pizza doe... was un cooked. It was raw... and stuck to the box. I called the store... told them about the pizza, they told me to come back in and they would replace the pizza. Another 35 minutes. Which I did... only to find out that my pizza (for the second time) wasn't even started. So much for the nice tip, right?!!! When the pizza was ready, the manager smugly asked if I was satisfied. Let's see.... over 2 hours and 2 trips across town... to get a pizza. No offer to make things right, other than just another pizza. Only to get a smug manager, acting like I am a pain in the butt for asking for a cooked pizza! This was a very bad experience. Unfortunately, it was not unique. The actual quality of the pizza has really gone down hill over the year. The customer service too. And yet, the crew there is really in to making sure they get a tip (the "are you going to tip" glare is obnoxious. Bad Customer service and bad food at a high price! Blaming Covid and hired help only goes so far! I am heart broken. read more

I've been an Abo's customer for over 30 years. I was an employee at 2 locations in Boulder many years ago. I have always been a fan. I called Abo's Longmont to place an order today and was immediately hung up on. Hmm... that was odd. So I called back and was hung up on again. A 3rd time someone picked up the phone and mumbled something.... I seem to have been placed on hold. When the call was answered I asked if they were open. The guy started rambling about how when he say please hold then please hold they're very busy but hold means hold. I said really? After hanging up on me repeatedly you're gonna get an attitude? I was told to fuck off and was promptly hung up on again. I waited a few minutes and called back and asked for a manager. The guy who answered said he was the manager. I asked his name. He said we're very busy I'm the manager how can I help you. I asked his name again. He a said 'none of your business' and hung up a 4th time. Not sure how a legit business functions in such disarray. Clearly they are unable to cope with their basic operations so customer service and basic decency has been cast aside. As good as Steve Abo's recipe is I highly suggest you avoid Abo's Longmont at all costs. read more

Why I'm just A-OK about Abo's Pizza (delivery): *Phone etiquette needs work. Not personable and felt like I was more of a burden then a customer. *Ordered "the most popular pizza they have" and made it a large. It was basically a supreme that was underwhelming. *Hot wings are mixed with jalapenos and made them tastier! *Price was rather high for a large pizza & side of 12 wings. Approximately $50 including a $5 tip for driving a block to my house. After dropping fifty bucks on an okay pie & tasty wings, I fail to see any legitimate reason to order from here again. There are so many other places in the area to grab a no-hassle bite that dropping another half rack of a hunny on this place isn't the first thing on my list. I wouldn't have them delivery to me again but I'll think about stopping in for a FRESH out the oven pie and some brew. read more

I enjoy their pizza, we have gotten it a few time. Less topping options that I'd hope for, but the ones they have are good. My husband grew up having Abo's in Fort Collins so he was excited to learn they had one in Longmont. I went in once for a pickup, 30 minutes after I ordered (they told me 30 minutes). When I walked in, the guy at the front told me it would be 25 more minutes and was super rude when I asked why. I came in 20 minutes later, it was done. The manager was WAY nicer and comped some of the order because they forgot to put the wings in. The first guy could have said that, instead of acting like I was stupid for asking why it wasn't done on time like I was originally told. If it wasn't for the manager (or assistant manager or shift manager, whoever was in charge that day), I wouldn't go back. But he was super nice and improved the experience. read more

Ordered from Abo's in Longmont. I made the mistake of hitting the pickup instead of delivery button when I placed the order online. I called them. They said no problem we can deliver it. It accidentally got delivered to my neighbor. Abo's called me multiple times to double check the address - I didn't have my ringer on so didn't hear the phone. My bad. Normally get Abo's from Niwot and it's great. Ordered it from this location and we were less than pleased. Delivery took an hour and half and our pizzas were on the verge of like warm and cold. Stopped here, sort of on a whim. Won't come here again. I walk in and the place is completely empty. Young guy wiping the tables looks up and then ignores me. Ok, he's busy. Pony tail guy behind the counter looks up, so I say I'd like to order a slice. He says it'll be a minute and continues to brush off the counter, the remote, the corner and the edge. Very purposefully ignoring me. Meanwhile other guy looks out from the kitchen and quickly ducks back. This was perfect example of how rotten employees can ruin your business.
