They discussed all the options for different laser surgeries to get rid of my need for glasses and also cost. They made the differences between my options clear and gave me all the info I needed to make the decision that worked for me. Recovery was lovely as well. I had been told by others that had the surgery that a "halo" effect might occur for several months afterwards however I only had this for a week or so. There was also some discomfort after surgery but a large part of that dissipated within 5 hours after the surgery just as Dr. Weinstein said it would. During those 5 hours Dr. Weinstein kept in touch with me and how I was doing personally. After the surgery my vision registered as 20/40 however at the latest checkup it was 20/10. I am so happy I made the choice to go with Dr. Weinstein! The staff and Dr. Weinstein were all lovely and I would totally recommend this place to anyone looking into laser-eye surgery!

Beware of the South Shore Eye Care scam. Staff was very…read morenice, my Dr. (Lask) was excellent. When I checked in (Wantagh Ave. Wantagh) they gave me a few pages to fill out. The last page states if you need a prescription there is an additional $35.00 fee for each one written (if you need glasses or contacts). If you need two different scripts, you will pay $70.00 out of your pocket, insurance does not cover this. I asked the person who gave me the exam and he confirmed if I need a prescription written, I will pay for $35.00 for each one! I did a lot of research and believe this is illegal. Why would I go back if I'm going to get scammed? You shouldn't go here either. Under federal law (the FTC's Eyeglass Rule and Contact Lens Rule), you are entitled to a copy of your prescription immediately after an exam is completed, and you cannot be forced to pay a "release fee," "copy fee," or purchase glasses/contacts to receive it.

I wouldn't think about going anywhere else. She is a staple in our community. Here is wha she did for me over the last few days. Remember this is Christmas week. I called Beth on Tuesday morning to tell her that there's something in my eye, but it wasn't on my contact lens and it's not coming out. I explained it to her and she told me it was a floater. Never heard of this before by the way. She then asked me if I've seen lightning strikes in my eye, which is not a good sign. Yes I told her. I was in Manorville at the time and she asked me to immediately come back to our office to be examined by the doctor. I couldn't leave. I was babysitting my grandchildren. And then it was Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so I set it up to come in on Thursday. She gave me the first appointment in the morning going out of her way to get it done. She was concerned that I might have a tear in my retina. She made several phone calls to find a retina specialist for me and Friday morning. I was sitting in Wright a specialist office who immediately performed laser procedure repairing the tear. The doctor said this could've been a lot worse if I waited. Decided I should check my scripts and see a new eye dr. I called and made an appointment with Dr. Craig. They got me in that day and he spent a lot of time with me. He listened to all my concerns and gave me a lot of input and recommendations. I even got a thank you card in the mail a few days later and the doctor personally wrote some other suggestions on the card. I am feeling so blessed to have found him. My daughter has two insurances, and she provided the details of both, online, prior to her vision test. Bad part: Billing department failed to apply proper insurance (ex. Eye exam is free with $0 copay, but they applied $39; CL Fitting co-pay is $40, but they charged her $126); They failed to inform my daughter about the insurance coverage or the cop-pays at any stage and did unnecessary exams (ex. Retinal exam). At the end of the visit, she was charged almost couple of hundreds dollars extra. I went in person, and submitted insurance details again. They promised they will contact me and adjust the billing; No call even after 5 days and when I reached out to them, I was told that they have already billed insurance (for the insurance part) hence they can reverse or adjust our billing. Trying to exploit both the insurance as well as the patient.
