Buyer beware, this shop sells bootlegs. Bootleg anime dvds, bootleg soundtracks, and bootleg figures. They don't sell just bootlegs, but you better know what to look out for if you go shopping here. Particularly beware the trading figure case, nendoroid, figma, and static figures by the register. They have some rarer nendoroids, like Lucky Star Konata, but if you go over the box and inspect it, the print is poor quality, there are none of the prismatic seals, and the figure itself doesn't look up to Goodsmile Company quality. The trading figures in the display case have down syndrome, and a lot of them aren't even the right color configurations for the characters! This place also sells a lot of things overpriced. Which, is actually another way to tell if a figure is bootleg, because while the new nendoroids and figma figures that just came out sell for around $45-60 here, the rarer ones are priced at $25-30? Nope, bootleg. They do have some rare and out of production anime figures, but it's up to you to decide whether you're willing to risk buying a bootleg at the high prices they sell things at, or not. read more

whenever i go to westminster mall, my FAVORITE shop to go to is small wonders. why? -- nina is very nice and welcoming, along with the other staff members i don't know the names of. whenever you walk in, she greets you and makes you feel welcomed. she's not like any other owner who just ignores you. then, she makes small talk with you also, like whenever it looks like you're interested in something, she takes it into consideration and tries to tell you some more things that she thinks you might be interested in, making you feel even more welcomed. since i go there almost every week, i am very appreciative of her kindness and thoughtfulness. 10/10 -- merchandise: i'm an anime fan who likes to collect figures so i don't know about the other merchandise, but for the bootleg figures, wait for it, THEY TELL YOU IF THEY'RE FAKE!! AMAZING!!! SPECTACULAR!! other stores don't even bother telling you, making you play this guessing game in your mind. but small wonders TELLS YOU if a figure is unofficial or not, WHICH PROVES THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. this is extREMELY helpful for figure collectors like me, and i am sO THANKFUL they care about their customers. one thing that's EH to me is that their real figures are behind the cashier. now, i KNOW that they feel the need to keep all their official and special figures in their reach because they're special and too expensive for a shoplifter to steal, WHICH I TOTALLY RESPECT. but i have to admit it feels awkward when a figure obsessed weeb like me is leaning against the counter for ten minutes just looking at which figure to buy or look at. WHAT I LOVEEEE THOUGH is that they've recently added a shelf where they put some of their real figures on for show. that way, at least you can adore SOME official figures without awkwardly leaning against the counter i'd give their figures and their caring about their customers a 9/10. OVERALL: i love this store and i love how the staff cares so much about their customers. if you are anime obsessed like me, then this is the best store for you!! read more

An awesome anime shop inside Westminster Mall. Owner was super helpful! I couldn't think of a gift for my buddy but she nailed it for me. Spent over $100 on gifts and spent an hour browsing all their wonderful gifts. Definitely my my favorite place to go now. Prices were inexpensive for the value. If you are looking for a great gift or want to spoil yourself with wonderful anime figurines, wall scrolls, t-shirts, music, videos, etc..this is the place to go! read more

I don't get to visit this store often because I live in Upland. But when I'm out that way, I can't pass up the opportunity. They have a pretty good stock of anime and manga merchandise, including key chains, apparel, plushies, and OSTs. I believe that it is run by a woman and her mother. Every time I'm in there with my cousins, she recognizes us and will give us a discount. If memory serves, they have special-ordered items for my cousin that they didn't already have. read more

Friend and I used to come here whenever we came to the mall as it was a store with tons of anime merchandise. It was a relatively good store until a recent purchase my friend made, some small blind box figures. Typically in the store they have products listed or put in a different area labeled as "official" or "unofficial" merchandise, but with their blind box/bag items there are no labels anywhere and the official and unofficial merch is more or less mixed together. The only way we would be able to know if it was official or not was by "asking" the person working at the cash register. This is completely and entirely irresponsible and extremely poor practice. While we were able to get an exchange on one of the 3 items as a "courtesy" we still feel cheated by this store. Would've rated the store as a 0*, but as we know that's not an option. Would not recommend this store anymore and avoid it from now on. read more

Small Wonders is an awesome collectible shop. lots of anime and video game-themed items, as well as other themes. Nina's great, too!

This is another great store with cool stuff and friendly staff. This is a great place for anyone who like anime, kawaii stuff, precious moments, glass trinkets and collectibles, and stuffed animals. I come here to buy many things that I like. The staff has always been friendly. One time, the lady helping us threw in a free pack of hi chew with our purchase, and another time, a different staff member, got stuff out for us that they had put on display, so she decided prices for us. We came back and she had charged us less than the price of the same items on display! I love it here! read more

This place is ok. The woman who runs it is a bit quite and makes sure none of the products get damaged. The collectibles are a bit overpriced but im pretty sure she has good reasons. Theres good stuff for everyone but i wish there were more Japanese comics. Nevertheless, its good store! read more

One of my absolute favorite stores! They always have something that I want, I can never leave the place without buying something. They lady who runs the place is super nice, always helps me out. My best friends and I always love going down there, and I live no where near Westminister but I will always always take the drive to go there, just for this store! It's by far one of the best Anime Stores I've been to. I wish there was more of them. If you want to find good Anime collectibles..come to Small Wonders! Awesome place! The store itself has cool stuff. Godzilla's are a bit over priced though she had a Godzilla 2000 figure for thirty dollars which is 17 dollars on amazon and the other collectible store I go to sells them for twenty dollars. The workers in here are honestly the rudest I've seen in any collectible store my entire life. I've been a collector for years and have been to easily over a dozen of these style stores and never been treated this way. the owner here as you can see on other reviews follows you around the store and stares the entire time. She even tried to check my bag (super small bag with a single dvd in it from book off) mind you the figures I was looking at were around 10-12 inches so how they would fit into a bag the size of a dvd is beyond me. I was going to buy something but didn't want to because of the awful customer service. if you would like to be stared at for a good thirty minutes and be followed around then come here any day of the week. It's nice to how will ringing up another customer she is still staring at you the entire time you are looking at even just t shirts. read more

This store was heavily overpriced. I talked to a worker there and she gave excuses from import fees (which I have paid before) and some middle man. The Tokyo lifestyles store right next to it is far better if you want a fair price and don't want to spend 50 dollars on a fanny pack sized bag or pay an extra 40-60 dollars more than you can get figures if you actually pay the import fees yourself through ebay or amazon (you can also avoid buying a bootleg that way, which they also have) when I have a choice between spending 40 dollars or 100, I'm taking the 40. You can also find these figures cheaper at a convention or in little Tokyo. read more

I've been going to this place for a LONG time! I love their selection, but the store is a bit unorganized. Cool figures, school supplies, t-shirts, etc. I've even found stuff from anime long past. If you don't want to miss any "hidden treasures," plan on spending some time there so that you can look around. Okay, I LOVED this store, I came here like every week, I loved it until something recent happened. The owner sassed me out and made me feel uncomfortable and I'm definitely not coming back here, the way she treated me definitely opened my eyes, and always notice how shes always in the back eating. Her assistant on the other hand is amazing, always at the door to great you with a smile, asks if you need with anything, heck sometimes she even recognizes the things you're looking at and strikes a small chat, she is honestly the best thing about the store. Mean while I've never interacted with the owner until today where she was Extremely rude to me, she honestly needs to chill. I will definitely not be purchasing another item from here ever. I RECOMMEND going to Tokyo lifestyle or Rolly Polly which are right next to small wonders, they have amazing and sweet employees and I love going in those stores.
